No, they can't be legendary. Non-scrappable weapons can't be found in legendary, which is such a shame.
I'd be fine with it if after you get it, the weapon becomes found rarely on other enemies.
Imagine a junk jet with double projectiles (still bad, but it'd look hilarious with certain junk), or a syringer with leg crippling. Something about hitting someone and making them calm, only to have their legs crippled and slowly walk around would be great.
The syringer is a cool weapon, I just never found much reason to use it. Does anyone actually have success with it? The only thing I can think of it being amazing for is a full passive run.

If you hook them up to a terminal you can set them to track hostiles. Not sure if that does much of anything besides illuminating them though.

Yea, it just sort of "alerts them" but they are on alert anyway since enemies don't stealth.
Well besides [sp]sentrybots, deathclaws...and one more type I'm forgetting [/sp]. But even then I doubt it matters.
They also get bugged and dont show light like half of the time until you move them.

I made an alarm system for fun, so if an npc goes in a certain room all the lights turn on and alarms start playing.
Then I realized that most of the lights were bugged, and the wires made it look ugly as fuck so I deleted it.
Not bothered using the syringer rifle, but that one dart that reduces damage resistance seems like it'd be useful for deathclaws and the like.

Like, the bleed damage isn't awful but fuck using OIL for ammo.
1 oil per needle is WAYYYY too much.
The one you mentioned and the calming one are the only ones I probably will use.

also, I've noticed on nexus that people are creating 8k resolution textures
even a user running a 4k monitor wouldn't see any difference with that
and yet there are going to be people using 1080p displays running it at 4k dsr with 8k textures thinking it's the authentic deal
what the fuck is even the point, because these people don't get it. The 4k VS 8k comparison image is 1:1 exactly the same.
I turned off the fps lock and was very pleased to find that my fallout is actually running at 60fps with medium-high settings on my r7 260, it gets down to around 40fps in the city but thats still fine. I am actually really surprised how powerful this i5-4430 and R7 260x are.
Textures are on ultra, AA, DOF, lighting and shadow distance on high, rest is medium.

After a certain point: why not? Sure, the exact same image taken from the same angle will look the same, but maybe having overly detailed textures shines in the fact that as you are looking around there is a lot more variation that could potentially be displayed, even though all the variation can NOT be displayed [i]at once.[/i]

higher resolution textures are objectly 'cleaner', but the drop off point is immediately after its larger than your actual resolution.
It's especially fruitless when you think about the fact that an 8k texture will literally shit on vram
a 2k resolution overhual would be the best middle ground really.
I've spent a lot of time in Talos Princible with its magical 4k textures, between a 1080p and 4k display. The only way 4k textures improves it is when you REALLY ZOOM IN at a large texture and get really close, and even then it doesn't change much at 1080p. But 4k textures on a 4k display are a vast improvement.
Where are the best places to get oil and cloth? My settlements keep complaining about lack of beds and defenses and I keep running out of oil for machinegun turrets and cloth for beds. I had to resort to using pre-war money just to give them bastards a place to sleep.
Then again are the laser turrets and other ones worth it more for defenses? They seem to consume a lot of junk.

you can mark oil/cloth to be searched, and if you have a perk the containers with them glow

water you can make
acid isn't used in much else, besides psycho and explosives
steel is easy to get obviously, if you are really struggling go do the Jamaica plane treasure quest and farm the [sp] red lasers, they respawn if you press the button. Infinite steel, crystal, and optics iirc [/sp]
