Artificially extending gameplay.
Kotaku wrote an artical about the Nirnroot easteregg about how it was evidence that Fallout 4 is a prequel to the Elder Scrolls series...

"hardest and rarest"
I think these are not meant to actually be gotten, seeing as you have to exploit the physics engine to get them. Plus, by the time you could get them, you wouldn't really need them anyway.
Kinda reminds me of the secret room in diamond city that has nothing but a power armor crafting station and a mini nuke.
Replaying through New Vegas now, i can't help but find amusing how Obsidian gave the best rewards to the companion that would look the least interesting to the average gamer
Oh, why should i take the sarcastic gay doctor from the wasteland hippies with me when i can have my dudebro Boone instead? Why spend time with Myron 2 when i can hang out with of one the chicks? Well, you just get an enclave power armor and an enclave squad to assist you during Hoover Dam, that's all. Remember this when Boone runs with a machete towards the praetorian guards and gets knocked out/killed or Cass drop dead instantly trying to shotgun someone
...and now i can't stop thinking about how amazing the battle would be in Fallout 4 engine too. Dang.

I have a very unrealistic hope that someone will remake NV in Fallout 4.

i'm honestly more curious what the terminal says...
Is the Grognak holotape game a homage to the original wasteland game? I never played it but the UI and type of game it is seems very similar from what I remember of looking that game up.

We can dream.
I have a very unrealistic hope that someone will remake NV in Fallout 4.
Someone will try, no doubts about it. But it will probably progress as fast as that guy who was recreating F2 in NV and never even finished Arroyo (speaking of which, he's probably just going to scratch everything and start over recreating F2 in F4 too)

Oh they are. Apparently the terminal has a little bit of lore behind the leggings.
I was expecting. -To whom ever may be reading this- "You are not suppose to be here."
If you want them on PC without all that headache, I'd honestly just recommend TCL. It's very very hard to do with a keyboard, even harder than on console.
I mean, sure, try it first, but there's no shame in throwing away a couple cores if you just want them to mess around with.

I fucking hate this game sometimes.
That piece of shit scared me too when I first went there.

Difference is that I wasn't high level and he almost fucked me up.

did you just one shot a legendary radscorpion
It's kinda funny, Radiation Storms are only a little less green than Fallout 3 was by default
did you just one shot a legendary radscorpion
Something like that yeah. My plasma pistol does 80-90 damage or something like that.
If companions say they're through with you after the second warning and leave, is that permanently it? No chance at all at ever getting back into their good graces?

It worked.
I just found a legendary shishkebab with 20% cripple chance.
I didn't even know uniques had legendary versions.
Not bothered using the syringer rifle, but that one dart that reduces damage resistance seems like it'd be useful for deathclaws and the like.
I gave up on it.
The syringer is a pretty good idea, but the "X is too weak for berserk syringe" is pretty annoying, because berserking people can lead to some pretty funny shit.
The mesmetron would be cool though, so I hope there's something like that in upcoming DLC.
Like, the bleed damage isn't awful but fuck using OIL for ammo.
1 oil per needle is WAYYYY too much.
The one you mentioned and the calming one are the only ones I probably will use.
I only use syringe crafting for easy XP farming.
Blitz does some scary things.
