Anything under 30 FPS has been considered unplayable, for decades. 15 is borderline unplayable? Anything under 30 fps is an instant headache for most people.
I know plenty of people that 30 FPS is perfectly playable for them, mostly because they don't have the luxury of having a fantastic PC while playing fairly unoptimized games.
It's not really unplayable nor is it really noticeable once you've played about an hour.
Anyone here know a reliable way to farm fusion cores or am I stuck relying on random sentrybot spawns/buying them from traders?

No. The difference between 30 and 60, even 45, is easily noticeable, no matter how long I've played a game.

Did I say 30 FPS wasn't playable? And no, you can certainty tell the differences of framerates. If you can't tell the differences between 30/45/60 FPS i'm surprised. Hell, I can tell when a game drops below 30, even a couple frames.

Look in old industrial areas. There's usually one or two in those kinds of places.
Some say only synths can tell the difference between 30 and 60 frames. You dirty synth.
I can't confirm nor deny that without the express permission of my creator.
No shit the engine didn't support 16 and 32k textures.
Holy fuck, 32k? How big would that thing be? Maybe a whole GB just for one texture? Do I need one extra videocard just for that?
I'm of the opinion that FO4's vanilla textures are good enough to where I don't need to rush out and install texture mods like I would with pretty much every other Beth game.
I'm wondering how long it'll take for someone to release a mod that turns every single NPC into Deacon.
He's already fucking everywhere, so it wouldn't be much of a change.
less than 30 fps while in rain using a gtx 970
that's not even close to acceptable, that's simply outright shitty developement
it's not even using ultra settings because I can't even fucking get close to 60 on high
they need to execute their optimization team
Get better RAM.
You merely adopted the low FPS. I was born into it, molded by it. I did not see high FPS until I was already a man.

I like how they fixed the shadows, they always looked so bad in Skyrim.
So any console command finickery to assign a companion to a certain bed?
Some work with the UI, some don't. Referring to the ones that don't.

wait until you meet a certain dog in fallout 2
did they really think that 2 raiders at a time was a suitable nuisance for end-game level settlements?
C'mon throw me a behemoth every now and then...
Is this somehow related to my food and water resources being spread out among settlements so the threat generated is less?
Went to the glowing sea at night, it was a bad idea

it doesn't help that with reshade on, its fucking pitch black and could barely see the outline of the deathclaw before it stunned me.
edit: the glowing sea is 20x scarier with darker dark nights, I can't see shit and the only light is the occasional green lightning burst and the glow of the water.

Night and Day in the glowing seas on vanilla is hard to distinguish.
I like how they fixed the shadows, they always looked so bad in Skyrim.
If you wanted good shadows in Skyrim you needed 8k shadows and like half the shadow distance. It's a massive improvement in Fo4.
I just found a legendary shishkebab with 20% cripple chance.

shiskebab isn't unique tho
I've found quiet a few of them, and iirc you can scrap them
I'm pretty sure I've seen raiders using normal ones

Maybe I misinterpreted this then.

Anyone can tell when there are framerate dips, I was referring to playing with a constant 30 FPS; eventually after playing long enough, you would adjust to the reduced framerate. If you make a conscious effort to try to figure out the framerate, you'd certainly be able to tell the framerate is less than 60. I was primarily referring to players who had never experienced high framerates on newer games. For myself, I wasn't getting decent framerate four years ago when I still had this pc and never really noticed or cared that I was getting 20-40 FPS.
Maybe I'm just weird though.

Really? for me the difference between day in night in the glowing sea is like well, day and night.

If you did them side by side, I guess.
But often for me I'd be like "Wait, is it night yet?" Because the difference isn't that big and it's such a gradual change.

Any particular reason you're wearing power armor with no pants?
Alright, the glowing sea is one of those places that just makes up for a lot of the annoyances/problems I have with the game.
You uh, do know that your power armor has a headlamp right? Hold Tab.
yeah, but it was just when I fast traveled to a point in the glowing sea, and I wasn't really thinking of turning on my headlamp because of the deathclaw charging me.
- was wrong I guess -
Does anyone know if the darker nights mod impacts NPC aiming or does it just make the character harder to detect?
Darker nights has optional .esps that affect there detection ability at night.
