The only legendary weapons I've found after that explosive bolt-action are all melee weapons. Which are completely worthless to my build. :frown:
You can use this mod to make legendary enemies appear as often as they do on Survival difficulty. I know i'm probably super late on this but I just now realized that Elder Maxson is voiced by Derek Phillips. The same guy who voiced Mark Jefferson from Life is Strange. A few threads ago I mentioned that Tina De Luca from Vault 81 is voiced by Ashly Burch, the voice of Chloe Price! Holy shit.
shiskebab isn't unique tho I've found quiet a few of them, and iirc you can scrap them I'm pretty sure I've seen raiders using normal ones
I've only ever found the one you get out of Saugus. Where are you going that you're finding these guys?
I've only ever found the one you get out of Saugus. Where are you going that you're finding these guys?
No clue, I have found some tho. It's probably rare, but I've gotten like 4 or 5.
shiskebab wasnt an unique in the previous games though gehenna was the unique version
Aww shit. It just hit me that [sp]FO4's brotherhood is basically just a less overtly evil FO3 enclave.[/sp] Apparently [sp]Maxson didn't like Lyons' more diplomatic and humanitarian approach, and decided to kick things into full-overdrive war machine mode upon being appointed as leader[/sp]. God damn, now I'm really conflicted about who to side with here. And I haven't even seen the institute yet.

And I haven't even seen the institute yet.
[sp]Maxson basically turned the brotherhood back into hoarders in an attempt to just unite both the west and east coast again, but its kind of flopped and not really well explained, the west coast sees Maxson as the leader of the brotherhood but it's quite implied that they don't exactly follow him. Either way the brotherhood under Lyon's guide was a lot better compared to the usual "shoot everything, ignore questions later" attitude that is now back, kinda disappointing really. Specially considering how Maxson actually looked up to Lyon and his Daughter. You'd kinda expect him to maybe follow in suit but nope, he went full on dictator pretty much. I'd honestly side with the BOS if they were not narrow minded like they are now.[/sp]
No. The difference between 30 and 60, even 45, is easily noticeable, no matter how long I've played a game.
After playing TF2 for dozens of hours over the summer at the diamond solid 60 FPS source gets on modern rigs, I can't stand anything but a consistent 60 now. I used to be totally fine with 40-60 variable. I think it's fully reasonable to say that some people can "get used" to lower FPSes, in the sense that they still suffer from all the issues that low/inconsistent FPS brings, but don't realize it.
Man, I love Deacon but I've never had a companion fuck up nearly as much as him.
Brotherhood gives you a [sp]Jetpack[/sp] so who cares about the other factions, the institute sucks trust me
You can just craft that. 1 item is not a fully justified reason to join the Brotherhood.
Brotherhood gives you a [sp]Jetpack[/sp] so who cares about the other factions, the institute sucks trust me
Botherhood are narrow minded and dull as fuck, they only good for a suit of power armour. Plus they later want you to [sp]off Space Man Danse which isn't cool[/sp]. Institute has its head up its own ass and doesn't know what it's doing. Minuteman try to do good but in the end it's just a armed militia. The Railroad is silly and doesn't understand what they want. All the factions suck.

Honestly I tend to side with the brotherhood because out of any of the "good" factions in any game, they seem to have both the clearest idea of what they want (to wipe out the wasteland's greatest threats to humanity, and unsure the species' past is preserved and learned from) and the means to actually accomplish it. Those two are always consistent with them. Everyone else is either too small (minutemen), too delusional (house) or too corrupt (NCR).
None of the factions really give you any incentive to work with them. They don't give a clear view of what they are trying to achieve until the very end. [sp]3 out of the 4 endings are exactly the same.[/sp] I think the Minutemen are the only ones that give you a clear view of what they are trying to achieve. But you have to work with Preston so that is a downside.

[sp]It feels like it's trying to be this whole character arc of the MC where they start to accept the Wasteland, but come on my character was on board the whole idea from the get go. I get to kill anyone? Fuck yea[/sp] It was also really short and bland and had nothing to offer jesus christ the main quest sucked. It did somethings better than Fallout 3 (actually a lot) but I still feel like I got more enjoyment out of 3 since it felt like it actually ended and mattered, even if it was just a little bit.
higher resolution textures are objectly 'cleaner', but the drop off point is immediately after its larger than your actual resolution. It's especially fruitless when you think about the fact that an 8k texture will literally shit on vram a 2k resolution overhual would be the best middle ground really. I've spent a lot of time in Talos Princible with its magical 4k textures, between a 1080p and 4k display. The only way 4k textures improves it is when you REALLY ZOOM IN at a large texture and get really close, and even then it doesn't change much at 1080p. But 4k textures on a 4k display are a vast improvement.
If there's an 8k texture stretched out across the side of a building and you get close you'd probably still see pixelation. There is no universal drop off point. It entirely depends on how the textures are being used.
So can anyone tell me the benefits of siding with each faction without spoiling the end?
So can anyone tell me the benefits of siding with each faction without spoiling the end?
Minutemen: artillery, unique gauss Railroad: Ballistic Weave mods + deliverer pistol BoS: T60 power armor Institute: ???
ehhh before Broken Steel the end of F3 was still pretty stupid (still stupid with it too, but not as much)
The ending pre-BS was interesting in concept though. It's the one game I can think of where you play out your character's whole life from start to end.
The ending pre-BS was interesting in concept though
If you manage to ignore all the contrived bullshit that resulted in the "heroic" sacrifice, maybe. But it's pretty damn hard to just go along with all the idiotic reasoning that leads to that outcome

Don't forget that sweet air support that comes with the BoS
Don't forget that sweet air support that comes with the BoS
Results may vary. Brotherhood of Steelâ„¢ is not responsible for any harm that may come to you or your property when calling in Vertibird support.
I just got Fallout 1 set up on my phone fuck yeah
I wish there was a way to build a vertipad in a settlement if you're affiliated with the BoS. Activate it to request pickup or reinforcements. Would be very, VERY helpful.

I thought that was a healthy middle ground.
