I wish there was a way to build a vertipad in a settlement if you're affiliated with the BoS. Activate it to request pickup or reinforcements. Would be very, VERY helpful.
The fact you can't use the (minor BoS spoilers, tagged just in case)[sp]vertibirds to take you to unknown places and you have to have been there before is disappointing. I tried to use one to take me all the way down to the glowing sea but it disappointingly limited me to the farthest place I've actually explored.[/sp]
Minutemen: artillery, unique gauss Railroad: Ballistic Weave mods + deliverer pistol BoS: T60 power armor Institute: ???
the reason for the classic radio
[sp]Maxson basically turned the brotherhood back into hoarders in an attempt to just unite both the west and east coast again, but its kind of flopped and not really well explained, the west coast sees Maxson as the leader of the brotherhood but it's quite implied that they don't exactly follow him. Either way the brotherhood under Lyon's guide was a lot better compared to the usual "shoot everything, ignore questions later" attitude that is now back, kinda disappointing really. Specially considering how Maxson actually looked up to Lyon and his Daughter. You'd kinda expect him to maybe follow in suit but nope, he went full on dictator pretty much. I'd honestly side with the BOS if they were not narrow minded like they are now.[/sp]
[sp] I like that the BoS is morally gray now. A lot of complaints about Fallout 3 was that the Brotherhood were in fact, too good and saintly, which made the morality unrealistically black and white.[/sp]
Minutemen: artillery, unique gauss Railroad: Ballistic Weave mods + deliverer pistol BoS: T60 power armor Institute: ???
yo the institute gives the 'ghoul' mask in this game [sp] and you can't take it off and it makes synths even scarier. "HI MAM"[/sp]
The Institute just [sp]gave me the quest to kill the Brotherhood. So I'm going to go grab that black jumpsuit and kill everyone on the Prydwyn before I go ahead with that.[/sp]
Does anyone know if the apparel you have on under power armor is added to the total protection or something?
Wait hold the phone, he only has that black suit if you [sp]kill him before sending him to the BoS. Fuck that noise.[/sp]
I just came up with the most awful retcon DLC idea: [sp]The institute scientists were actually synths controlled from tranquility-lane style pods, of which they were unaware. Shaun faked his death so that he could (if institute ending: observe the player's leadership or something) or otherwise observe the wasteland as he worked to release a shitton of coursers or something to that effect. So basically the institute was actually not the institute, but a synthstitute. [/sp]
Does anyone know if the apparel you have on under power armor is added to the total protection or something?
It isn't. Everything you're wearing is removed when you hop in.
[sp] I like that the BoS is morally gray now. A lot of complaints about Fallout 3 was that the Brotherhood were in fact, too good and saintly, which made the morality unrealistically black and white.[/sp]
That was honestly a stupid fucking complaint, there's nothing wrong with being "good", it's just that the BoS had (and still has) no depth whatsoever. They don't have any sort of internal conflict, everyone just worships the god-elder and the entire thing feels like this perfectly uniform entity that doesn't really know what the fuck it's doing exactly. Adding a pinch of nazi to the brotherhood doesn't magically fix it, instead of lovable idiots they're now the shoot-on-sight idiots.
It's a little ridiculous that it's 2015 and bethesda still can't figure out how to optimized shadow casting lights so they can have more than 2 in a scene. The game looks so much better with dynamic shadows and yet so few lights have them
I mean, the radiation made everything else bigger, soooo :v:
Hey there smo- rough skin [editline]1st December 2015[/editline]
Botherhood are narrow minded and dull as fuck, they only good for a suit of power armour. Plus they later want you to [sp]off Space Man Danse which isn't cool[/sp]. Institute has its head up its own ass and doesn't know what it's doing. Minuteman try to do good but in the end it's just a armed militia. The Railroad is silly and doesn't understand what they want. All the factions suck.
And best of all they suck, but not in a "wow, so complic8ed man" Just shitty.
Anyone here know a reliable way to farm fusion cores or am I stuck relying on random sentrybot spawns/buying them from traders?
Recommendation: Buy but don't spend caps. Build water purifiers, trade purified water for fusion cores.
Recommendation: Buy but don't spend caps. Build water purifiers, trade purified water for fusion cores.
How do you exactly get the purified water out of purifiers?
How do you exactly get the purified water out of purifiers?
Your workshop table should have it.
The AI pathing in settlements needs a serious overhaul. I make wide open areas with open entrances and these idiots go around the corner and try to walk through the wall. I have to take the Walt Disney approach, "Fine, you want to walk through here? Fuck it here's your new door."

That fucking ending.
How do you exactly get the purified water out of purifiers?
Basically any "excess" that isn't used by settlers will just be dropped into the workshop inventory for your own use, or use in crafting. This applies to crops and stuff like that, too.
Your workshop table should have it.
then I must have millions by now
I guess the Institute is free healthcare, having a pre-war room, and synths at your beck and call
They promised me a well stocked armory and all I got was a few institute lasers and a handful of energy cells. My definition of well stocked is at least triple digit amounts of ammunition and at least 20 fusion cores [editline]1st December 2015[/editline]
[T]http://orig06.deviantart.net/d590/f/2015/334/6/6/make_america_great_again_by_erkor-d9ilmim.png[/T] oc
That would be a good dlc
I was disappointed to see that the enclave wasnt present.

IDK what it is. I always expect way more stuff than there actually ends up being. Fort independance armory was ok, but I miss the days of NV where the Van Graffs had so much shit in their shop a bad computer might crash if you threw a grenade in there.
[sp] I like that the BoS is morally gray now. A lot of complaints about Fallout 3 was that the Brotherhood were in fact, too good and saintly, which made the morality unrealistically black and white.[/sp]
Some of their actions are just plain stupid, like [sp] out of left field they somehow know about Virgil and demand I kill him even after I convince them he has cured himself of the fev because I failed one speech check, then when I do convince them he cured himself they're just like "well I guess we could let him live now that he is stuck out there" wtf he cured the fucking fev the fucking fev, you guys need him, get a goddamn virtibird out there and roll out the welcome wagon [/sp] and its not like he'd refuse either, he doesn't seem to like the institute or care
I wonder if Fallout 4 uses it's own files for defining fonts. Maybe you use that to add icons for sorting inventory.
Anyone here know a reliable way to farm fusion cores or am I stuck relying on random sentrybot spawns/buying them from traders?
Look in every ammo can and footlocker on military bases, I always found one would randomly have like 5 in it. Most of my cores I got that way, plus once the brotherhood starts sending out scouts you can sort of pickup them from fallen trips from time to time
From the fine folks at /fog/
but it's true, having curie is like having a dog. and who else is there besides piper, cait and that ghoul?
Personally Daisy from Goodneighbor is 10/10
