[Sp]How do we know that Stockton isn't aware his daughter is a synth?[/Sp]
[sp]When the railroad frees synths they always send them out of the commonwealth to make sure the institute doesn't track them down, the only exception would be Glory but she went underground to help the railroad, not really trying to blend in[/sp]
The Human Error quest perfectly puts into perspective how retarded the Railroad is:
[sp]You have to rescue Amelia Stockton, daughter of Old Man Stockton, who's a railroad supporter. By choosing the "good" option, you kill a bunch of people to save the synth spy who killed and replaced the real Amelia.
Not that the covenant are exactly good people, but it's basically the railroad's theme of not caring about the truth for the sake of feeling good about themselves[/sp]
Why are you assuming she killed anyone, or at any point is a spy?
She escaped the Institute, Stockman probably took her in as his Daughter after the Railroad mind wiped her.
Is there a fix for low indoor fps? I rarely drop below my 60fps cap anywhere other than certain interiors, like the corvega assembly plant. It seems to be related to particles.

[sp]So the official story is that the Stockton's, who are supposed to be a very influential and prominent family, one day gave birth to a grown adult woman and the railroad, who's so obsessed with secrecy to the point they have compartmental intel, decides that that's a good enough cover to give to an escaped synth
Now I'm not saying that's wrong because it might just be bad writing, but you're still talking out of your ass[/sp]

[sp]Given Stockman's influence in the Railroad and influence in general, Stockman would be either fucking dead or replaced, if she was connected to the Institute in anyway.[/sp]

Everyone is talking out of their ass because like half the information is just missing.
It's almost like Bethsoft has bad writers or something.
I'm pretty sure you can actually talk to Stockton after the quest, he's at bunker hill, and he talks about it iirc.
Here's Buddy's joke I got just now.
"I went to the zoo, the only animal there is a dog, it was a [sp]shitzu[/sp]"
Nobody really talks about how the synth replacements are even done, not even the institute, even though it's a massive part of the game. Which is kind of why [sp]danse doesn't make much sense because he would have to be replaced sometime after they arrived in the Commonwealth, but he was a runaway so he had to have escaped the institute and made his way to rivet city but from the sounds of it he was not all that old when he was taken in by the brotherhood but they didn't have children synths either [/sp]
I apologise for a bit of shameless self promotion.
I've just made some Railroad skins for all the PA's if anyone has any interest.
I made them brown cause I personally find them to go with the general theme of the rest of the Railroad's armor and such.
Anyway.

I apologise once more. Just figured maybe a couple people here might like them and want to use them.

No need to apologize, if the mod is something people would like and adds to the game then you're good
Or...idk, flirting with and banging piper literally several conscious days after watching your wife get killed.
Like wow. Friendly reminder that I'm not always my games' target audience.
To be honest it's not the writers fault if you bumrush to diamond city and get that relationship up with paper in a matter of days. Most players take forever to even get to diamond city because they're too busy fucking around on their first playthrough. Hell, on my first character I didn't even go to see piper because I thought it was gonna start some Moira style super long side quest, and I ended up ignoring her for literally a month of ingame time.
Also if you feel like your character shouldn't be fucking someone else after his wife died you can just pick the options to reject piper.
so do Synths age? I don't think that was ever really touched on, the oldest synth you meet was valentine and he's only a prototype so he's not a real indicator of current synth capabilities...
and if some can age and some can't, in my head I feel like the synths used for infiltration would be able to age just in case the recon work goes on for some time as to not arouse suspicion. Not to mention [sp]synth shaun, I mean if Father wanted you to know what it's like to raise a child, he would have to age or it's not really raising a child[/sp]
The only power armor upgrade I really wanted that wasnt there was one for fusion core consumption.
What would have been cool is a system for fusion core consumption based on power armor weight, with a armorless frame using the least energy and a heavily armored frame using the most.
Realistically I don't think anyone would have bothered with it, because gaining a couple of minutes per FC is not worth losing so much resistance and other bonuses.
Would definitely have been neat to be able to upgrade the frame itself, though.
As far as FC consumption is, I feel like there's already enough ways to hamper it significantly. With the repair bobblehead (which is placed really early in the game and pretty much in the player's intended path if you're thorough enough) and max level Nuclear Physicist (a perk that you can effectively max out at level 26), your FCs will literally last for a full hour.
[editline]a[/editline]
The interesting thing about FC consumption is that the values and depletion system could be used exactly like it is for a survival system. The less you do, the less energy you consume - the more active you are, the more energy you consume. If modders somehow found a way to create three values that decrease in the same fashion (maybe a lot slower), and allow sleeping, eating and drinking to restore them, it'd be a really efficient and straight forward way to make a simple, functional hunger system that would be more interesting and less tedious than a simple timer system.
I liked how daggerfall did it. Your fatigue was a large pool of stamina that lasted quite a while, but like fusion cores, the more you did (constantly running, jumping, fighting a lot) would drain it over time and if it got too low and you didn't eat or sleep you would collapse and possibly die to monsters if you were in dangerous places.
I just want to be able to sit on tiny chairs in power armor with a really goofy animation
If you side with the [sp] Institute [/sp] is there any way to imply the [sp] Institute will stop trating Synths as objects, and actually start giving them some freedom? Their sociopathy against the outside is tolerable, justified in some cases, but the way they play god with synths is really the only thing that stops me from going with them [/sp]
Institute Spoilers:
[sp]Why the smeg did Shaun axe the project that gave Kellogg his cybernetics? Cybernetics could definitely help humanity. Take the Minutemen, for instance. Let's say that Ronnie Shaw, Preston, and any other Minutemen who've proved that they won't abuse their power become cyborgs. They'd be able to be able to kick the asses of any raider groups so hard that any survivors would likely be too scared to ever return to the Commonwealth. The Institute is prats and tits.[/sp]

The writing is broken so it's something we just have to live with.
For example: [sp]Im doing all the undercover stuff for the Railroad in the institute, the position of Director falls right into my lap while I'm still a spy for the Railroad. Instead of just blowing up the Institute, why can't I just lead the institute in a direction that is more in line with the Railroad's goals? [/sp]

[sp]Probably because they're a bunch of sheltered wankshits who, despite being incredibly intelligent, have little knowledge of how the world works out there. I mean these are the same people that are completely okay with basically enslaving a sentient race.[/sp]

[sp]Because he wanted the Synth project to supersede the Cybernetics project, both because the person heading it was becoming a threat to his position as Director and his own projects and also because he believes humanity should remain as pure as possible.
It's unfortunate his ideology and Institute politics got in the way of progress and what could have been some sweet ass augmentations for my player character, hopefully modding will fix this fact, I want to use my power as the Director to bring back augments![/sp]

[sp]You can have the head of the synth retention bureau replaced by someone who is more friendly to Synth kind, other than that end game content is lacking for every faction in regards to actual growth[/sp]

ONLY A SYNTH WOULD ASK THOSE SORTS OF QUESTIONS. :tinfoil:
anyone know what the 213 mb update on steam is about?
Anyone using Sprinters legpieces? They give 10% movement speed increase per piece. I have 2 so I run really fast, and with 8 Agility, I can cover lots of distance with one sprint.
What's in the new fallout 4 update ?
Im so disappointed that the player character can't become a cyborg.
Like, when i started cutting [sp] kellogg [/sp] open and pulling out his various cybernetic implants, i held onto them for the whole game hoping there would be a chance to get them implanted myself.
Even if it just gave me some weaksause +5% unarmed damage + 5% chem duration buff, i wouldn't care because just being a cyborg is super cool. By the end of new vegas my courier was pretty much the 6 million dollar man, especially once id been through Old World Blues.

Only a Synth deals in absolutes.
