Got to the [sp]Institute[/sp] How such a massive part of the plot and massively interesting part of the story can just feel so boring and bland is frankly amazing. Not to say everyone has to feel the same, but all I want to do is leave and do FO3 level side quests.
I wish the institute [sp] had more fucked up labs so it was amazing, I was expecting some crazy place where they did silly lab research and made synths be the field subjects or something. I think a institute made vault filled with synths that scientist just use to observer their behavior would have been neat. Something like vault 75's experiment but with synths. Something super fucking creepy....it just never happened. [/sp]
no power armor is guaranteed save for the first suit and the one you get for joining the bos nearly everything that isn't a unique named item in the game is randomly generated via leveled lists, it's unlikely you'll find the same thing as others, though it will be similar
Wait, does one get power armour when you accept Danse's offer to join the BoS? Does he not give you one if you've already been wearing a set for the first encounter and ArcJet mission?
Yeah it's a disappointing system, especially since you can gimp yourself by loading frames early.
Isn't there a way to reset the cell a frame is located in?
Not sure how many people know about this, but tactical reloads (ala Metal Gear Solid's earlier games) are totally viable.
its funny because this was happening to me while I was using my Gauss Rifle and switching between it and my combat rifle and I started thinking "Why haven't I had to reload my Gauss Rifle yet" without ever really realizing this was happening
tactical reloads tend to mean loading before the mag is empty to prevent the need to chamber the new round that's just lazy programming really
I know what a proper tactical reload is. However in the earlier Metal Gear Solid games, unequipping and re-equipping an item was referred to as a tactical reload. It's actually mentioned in some dialogue as a tactic within the game.
In I think East Boston Preparatory School there are a bunch of notes referring to the Judge. New Vegas had notes referring to a The Judge that was in charge of a school in Honest Hearts. new vegas confirmed cannon guys :v:
That was "The Principal" I believe.
i would have preferred (a spoiler about a certain brand of cereal products and fallout 4's early antagonist) [sp]a way to spare him, it would have been really cool to have him as a companion or something where his only goal is to take all the money/whatever he wants from the institute in return for his companionship[/sp]
I would've really liked to see a very difficult to pull off redemption companion arc with him, kinda like [sp]Loghain[/sp] from Dragon Age: Origins. Or at the very least something like that being possible after he [sp]ends up in Valentine's body, with the risk of pissing Valentine off because you're harboring a serial killer in his robo-brain.[/sp]
After fully exploring the [sp] Glowing Sea, I'd actually love a full game like that. Goddamn, something about the isolation of it all is amazing. I'd actually love a fallout game that takes place VERY close to the bombs dropping, since I'm sure it'd be a similar enviroment. Everything feels creepy as shit and untouched, and the only sign of humanity is the stray raider in power armor. [/sp]
Also it'd be cool, I think, if there was a sailing-themed DLC for FO4, given the history of that region. (In addition to/instead of a Lovecraftian one). Maybe they could re-add that harpoon gun.

That's my favorite area in the game. I'd agree. Eeriely quiet, sudden danger, all that fun stuff.[/sp]
no one knows how to use spoilers, you have to give a hint to what it's about otherwise no one can read it unless they've 100% completed the game you could untag the name of the place since it means nothing on its own
Look, I'm a very materialistic person. Convince me why I should join [sp]the Institute when the other factions bribed me with sets of T-60 with mods and Ballistic Weave, plus Father's "generous stock of arms" is a fucking Institute Rifle and some nades? Guess who I nuked. [/sp]

I picked weaponry and they're still using normal institute rifles.[/sp]

Man, for a super high tech faction they sure have lousy weaponry.

The institute rifles are just straight up worse than the regular AER9, which wasn't even the top of the line laser rifle before the war. Like they literally took the laser rifle, and then they made it worse.

Barely anything is friendly and everything is dangerous as fuck. He's making a fallout 4 version, so that might fill our fix :V
imho bethesda should just make Fallout a collaborative project between them and Obsidian. I would rather have a a Bethesda game with the obsidian touch, than have a treyarch/infinity ward type situation some people are suggesting. I'd rather consolidate the resources of a good platform for an mind blowing amazing game and an an amazing game, into just an amazing game. fuck waiting.
Like, I feel like bethesda actually wanted to add some of obsidian's stuff, but did it weirdly. There's special ammo types and ways to equip the ammo, but only for 2 guns. There's guns that can be modded to change their ammo type...but they didn't add ammo crafting and special bullets and shit. They sort of emulated it in their own way with legendary weapons. They sort of remade "survival" with just adding a crafting system for drugs/food. Honestly, I'm fine with it. They tried to emulate the different endings that new vegas had, but didn't fulfill the best writing and honestly fucked it. They even added their own response to the cazador, which I'm fine with as it's a different bug. Speaking of stingwings, the bug they are based on can't actually sting, the 'stinger' is just a thing to hold its large genitals...that's some great information to know, thanks fallout wiki.
Holy shit, Seiteiki hijacked the OP.

I think I might have dyslexia
Oh god... [sp]so I'm on my way over to the Atom Cats place and I came across a shack with mirelurks and a mirelurk hunter. Turns out there's a Mirelurk king there too and GOD IS HE HORRIFYING! Tried to escape him but the fucker followed me into the random shack and killed me with sonic sonar powers[/sp]
[sp]Also, the fact that Maxson has "reunited" the two coasts of Brotherhood just feels like... really? Oh, and I just remembered, the fucking synth threat seems so overblown (BIGGER THREAT THAN ATOM BOMBS)[/sp]
Hold the phone when the fuck is that ever mentioned? That's ridiculous.
Hold the phone when the fuck is that ever mentioned? That's ridiculous.
Is it that really that outrageous if the only thing [sp] keeping the east coast and west coast BoS from working together was Lyons' leadership? All Maxson had to do was contact the West coast and say "Lyons is gone" and they're be back to being the same organization. And since he was a Maxson and if there wasn't a Maxson leader out west, wouldn't he pretty much become the leader since the BoS is weird and has a pseudo-monarchy? [/sp]
