When does it force me into siding with The Railroad? Will I be given a warning, or does it just throw me in?
It's sticking you. With it's dick. Also bloatflies shoot their spawn at you.
You can actually see the Bloatfly maggots attached to your body if you look in third person. I had a funny moment where I was fighting Bloatflies, and as I was attacking them in VATS I got hit in the face with a maggot.
Oh god who do i chose the Brotherhood or the Institute
When does it force me into siding with The Railroad? They don't necessarily give you a direct warning, but it shouldn't be too hard to guess what might anger the Institute.
I romanced curie iPhone tried to auto correct her name to cutie lol too true
Is it that really that outrageous if the only thing [sp] keeping the east coast and west coast BoS from working together was Lyons' leadership? All Maxson had to do was contact the West coast and say "Lyons is gone" and they're be back to being the same organization. And since he was a Maxson and if there wasn't a Maxson leader out west, wouldn't he pretty much become the leader since the BoS is weird and has a pseudo-monarchy? [/sp]
[sp] Being a Maxson doesn't automatically leave you in charge though, other Elders still exist and his father only made it to be a Paladin before kicking the bucket. On top of that the reason he was sent away in the first place is because people wanted him dead, and given the continued lack of communication I'm left to assume the people wanting him dead won [/sp] Also how can he realistically get into contact with the other chapters? They're all cut-off by the NCR who seem to have only gotten stronger since New Vegas seeing as you hear hints about them but nothing about the Legion.
Well I'm now rocking myself a sweet set of Atom Cats Power armor am I part of the cool kids club now? :v:

From the Brotherhood? I didn't know the West was acknowledged outside of the mention of there being two sides of the Brotherhood. Also, I found the opposite of that "Fuck you" door from Fallout 3, how nic- [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/387669574557231956/DF93EDE08DABD4876E015EBBE7817F40A5546292/[/t] nO SHIT FUCK IT WAS A RUSE [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/387669574557232628/DCEA9597F0ACA0C6360E2F7C8DC3290A975CB110/[/t]
Wait, where do you hear hints? From the Brotherhood? After playing the game enough all i can say is that i'm disappointed. Waiting for the Point Lookout equivalent DLC i guess
After playing the game enough all i can say is that i'm disappointed. Waiting for the Point Lookout equivalent DLC i guess
Disappointed about what specifically?
Disappointed about what specifically?
the plot, the characters, the writing and simply not being a good enough fallout game it's still a fun shooter and minecraft-ish building simulator. but that's not how i wanted fallout to be remembered at all. just a personal opinion so if you enjoyed it good for you i guess

As you said, personal opinion.
I REALLY fail to see any improvement on the writing department but that's the crazy thing about personal opinions i guess. At least you had fun and that's what matters.
In regards to the BOS: [sp] I didn't read anything about them being reunited. They've established closer contacts and the West Coast see Maxson as a legitimate Elder but it's not like they're using airships to have parties in the Citadel every weekend.[/sp]
I really hate how both Skyrim and Fallout 4 fail to make you feel like a leader of anything. Oh you're the General now? You still take quests from Preston and they operate completely independent of your input. [sp] Oh, you're the director of the Institute? Operate completely independent of your input and will probably work to off you sometime later down the road. [/sp] The Brotherhood ending actually feels way more satisfying just because you're working your way up the ranks and you're not the head of anything.
The only thing that bugs me about Fallout 4 is that the speech still goes by percentage bullshit, at least until you have 10 charisma. Also I miss them guns that reload by chambers, new gun designs are generally average. Otherwise the game's good, I like how they encouraged more cooking and stimpak less. New radiation is also brilliant. Didn't give 2 fucks about the settlement crap, but nice to have.

At least you had fun and that's what matters.
Might have been that I found the main story a lot more enjoyable and thus found the writing for everything surrounding it more enjoyable as a whole because of that? I dunno. Beth's main plots aren't usually amazing anyway, but I found FO4's to be much better than 3 and NV.
2 1/2 days of play time and probably 5/8 of that is fucking around with my settlement
Beth's storytelling is crap. Their worldbuilding is amazing.
I had to tear down most of my original tower because I fucked up the base, a couple pieces hadn't snapped together so a whole side of my tower had gaps. I built up 5 floors, 3 of which are mostly decorated.
how late am I? http://imgur.com/gallery/WgJb4 now if only he could hook it up to the game...
Beth's storytelling is crap. Their worldbuilding is amazing.
Really wish Obsidian and Bethesda would put 2 and 2 together with this one. The potential is crazy good.
[sp]Like what the fuck is the point of spending years of research to create synths so close to humans you can't tell the difference, only to use them as janitors and deny them as anything more than machinery? What was the overall plan there, apart from feeling superior to everyone above ground?[/sp]
Minor defense/correction on this point, [sp]it seems most of the Gen 3 synths seem to be researchers or students something of that sort. Gen 1's are the janitors, Gen 2's are the troopers and shopkeepers, and Gen 3's are researchers, students and coursers. To be honest I'm not precisely sure what the gen 3's do, but IIRC you don't see them sweeping floors or anything mundane like that[/sp]
Really wish Obsidian and Bethesda would put 2 and 2 together with this one. The potential is crazy good.
It'd most likely end up with neither being that great though. Or one side assuming control.
It'd most likely end up with neither being that great though. Or one side assuming control.
probably bethesda i don't have high expectations for a new obsidian game now that avellone and gonzales are gone anyway. still they're far better writers so it would be cool seeing them doing fallout again, even if it was just a short DLC.
Is it just me or is there way too much loot? Like you can find drugs and meds everywhere so easily plus you can craft those, in fact you find more easy to obtain meds rather than materials for crafting them, so what is even the point of finding them in such high quantities, I also have maybe 300 bobby pins because lockpicking minigame is way too easy. I'm playing on Survival difficulty with some damage balance mod, but overall the game has some ridiculous unthoughtful balance.
to be quite honest survival actually made the game easier for me i got a legendary right in the beginning that carried me through 3/4 of the game and it really doesn't make anything else difficult but i also don't like the building minigame that much so i dont know if it changes anything in your settlements being attacked and etcetera
I wish that some of the headgear in this game didn't make your character completely bald underneath
