Maybe anyone noticed, but there is a first pre-alpha release of updated NifSkope. [url]https://github.com/jonwd7/nifskope/releases[/url] But still it's far from being perfectly usable, it still needs a lot of work.
I tried playing the new Witcher 3 expansion, but as I kept playing I remembered how wonky the combat is, so instead I played some more Fallout 4 :v: The gunplay really improved a lot, along with the enemies, it really ruined New Vegas to me, now I'm playing through Fallout 4 with a controller though, seeing as the mouse aiming in 3 and New Vegas was really awfull, no matter what I did, and the UI just works so well on a TV anyway. It also helps that the game doesn't crash every two seconds. I really want to get into Fallout 1 and 2 but I don't like the turn based combat, it just seems so wonky and it feels kinda dull to me. I might give Fallout 2 a try instead, I only played the first game so far, but I just hate the (early game spoilers) [sp]time limit[/sp] on the quest.

Makes sense to me. That, in fact, is quite an easy piece of "head-canon-requiring hole" to swallow, compared to other stuff like post-war drugs lying around in an obviously untouched places (seems like Beth writers decided that they didn't shit on Jet lore quite enough in Fo3).

Fallout 1 and 2 and practically the same, turn based combat with some rng mechanics, what stands out in these games is the game's progression and story, it's making you explore areas, talk to npcs, every bit of experience matters, also your starting stats matter a lot, high charisma, intelligence, some luck, agility and perception, plus it's still got vibe and mood none other fallout games recreated.
Just reached the [sp] institute [/sp] and the music and everything is giving me chills.

Beth could have really done with some smaller details. [Sp] fot example, working with shaun to capture the escaped synths at bunker Hill, I told Maxson about the plan, killed the courser on the spot and killed every synth and railroad member in bunker Hill. Then I meet with him on the cit ruins and shauns like "OH OUR MISSION FAILED, DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT? " while I'm wearing full bos paladin pa. And there wasnt an option to say "yeah because I'm with the brotherhood shaun eat shit"[/sp] there are some other examples too but that one really stood out.

The fact that they couldn't get any tension, feeling of conflict, drama or hell even tragedy out of such a conflict is telling a lot. As I said earlier, he just felt like he was indifferent to everything you did, and then he just suddenly (quite literally ending spoilers)[sp]is on his deathbed like yo momma i'm disappointed but really do whatever you skank[/sp] like what the fuck. He was overall so poorly written it's not even funny.
You know I wonder what happened to our "canon" character in Fallout 3, given he was brought into the fold during the Lyons Era, he's a powerful entity within the BoS, I feel as though he wouldn't have let them fall back into the ideals of the west, nor would he have approved of this whole "genocide of an entire race" plan.

That's fucking hardcore.[/QUOTE] I had something similar happen to my character, I was in a fire fight with a bunch of Raider and I crippled one of their arms. She then pulled out a blade and ran at me, thinking she would do no damage, I reloaded to shoot again. Out of nowhere, she grabbed onto my neck and I wasn't able to move or stop it, she proceeded to stab me three of four times in the gut. Drained the remainder of my health, she let go and my body slumped to the floor, dead.

There's a seemingly unfinished version of Fallout 3's Chinese Assault Rifle (though it might just be the same model, I don't have the model for that to compare it). There's a complete lack of textures though, so it couldn't be put back in the game easily. It seems that at some point in development there was going to be a Pipe Shotgun, based on the Shotgun reciever that's with the rest of the Pipe weapons. Similar to the Chinese Assault Rifle though, it's missing textures. The Hammer junk item was seemingly intended to be a weapon at some point too, probably similar to the Pipe Wrench. Maybe it could be reimplemented. The Fat Man looks like it was meant to have a scope like the Missle Launcher as well. The Railway Rifle might have been exclusive to the Railroad at some point, based on some of the files being called RailroadRifle, and while the others are just RailwayRifle. Or it might just be a mess up in the file names. The Super Sledge might have not even been in the game, and what we have now as the Super Sledge might have just been an entirely different "Rocket Hammer". Again, could just be file names though. It's possible that Bethesda might have been testing the new texture formats and stuff with Skyrim's Scimitar, seeing as there's a TestScimitar folder in one of the texture archives. The Combat Rifle definitely came after the Combat Shotgun, as all the textures/folders are named CombatShotgun. There's also an interesting "GunBoard" in the Weapons folder, which has a variety of different weapons and their mods on a wall mounted board, similar to what we saw with the Laser weapons in the trailer, but with a lot more guns on there. No idea if that's used anywhere.
