So I complain about the engine, that is notorious for being buggy, and because of that my complaint should be discarded?
Yeah while Fallout 4 is definitely their most stable release in a while, it's not great. I didn't have a lot of problems until about 6 hours ago in game time, where EVERYTHING went to shit somehow. The Battle of Bunker Hill is especially buggy, and I urge people to be careful at what they do while doing that quest.
You do realize I called him dumb because it's typical "hurr durr engine is broken" post.
Maybe if the engine didn't have so many problems people wouldn't be posting about it? No need to be so hostile just because you've had a perfect experience.
Maybe if the engine didn't have so many problems people wouldn't be posting about it? No need to be so hostile just because you've had a perfect experience.
wtf? Where is that notion of my hostility coming from?
You had 1 fucking Stimpak? [t]http://puu.sh/lvYg3/c4ad304308.png[/t]
No, I just try and use them as sparingly as possible, even though I don't need to.
wtf? Where is that notion of my hostility coming from?

Uhmm, this is a dumbest sentence I've read in a while, totally baseless, it can't be engine's fault while it's probably just some interaction between lines of code going wrong, it's probably a rare bug too, because if you'd be able to replicate this 100% each single time, it would be fixed easily.

How is that even hostile, wtf grow up.
I hope a fallout 4 version of Manual Reload comes out soonish, now that the F4SE is underway.
3000 caps is not a lot at all
I said on average seeing as I constantly spend it on ammo and stuff.
I said on average seeing as I constantly spend it buying ammo and stuff.
Yeah, I usually spend the caps I get during the same transaction so I hover around there too.
don't know how well known this is, but if you're wearing mining helmets (or any helmet that has a light on it) that headlamp will activate instead of your pipboy light. Really useful to know.
Was looking through the nexus, and saw the 'immersive mouth and teeth' mod. For some reason it just makes me laugh that he used the word 'immersive'. Like, my immersion was broken because the teeth aint realistic enough. You know, based on what I know from game testers if more than two people on this forum have encountered the same bug it's guaranteed that a few people in the QA department have seen in and logged it. Most of the time the devs deliberately decide not to fix bugs because of time constraints (as in they don't know how to fix it in time or it would require an overhaul of a system). It's very rare that a game-breaking bugs go unnoticed by a whole QA team. So the answer to "have they even playtested this thing?" is "yes", it's just that QA does their job but not the devs. They don't fix a lot of the bugs reported to them.
I'd like to thank the mysterious stranger for putting the final bullet in swan before he anchored me into the ground
Does it finally make the teeth visible when people talk?
ehh...
I said on average seeing as I constantly spend it on ammo and stuff.
Friend of mine playing a survival melee sneak character, told me that he essentially uses ammo as currency, as he never uses firearms of any sort, the ammunition just sort of piles up, so he gives the traders ammo in return whatever goods he needs and still after like 30 hours on his character has never once had to spend a single cap. I however am terrible at money, I visit any trader and nearly ALL my money goes on junk. :v:

Why is .308 ammo so hard to come across? I have like 1000 .50 rounds and 425 .308 rounds.

Like 1500+ if you carry nothing BUT water to a trader with enough caps. Get a companion to load up on water also and you end up looking at anywhere from 2500-3000+ caps a haul.
You know I wonder what happened to our "canon" character in Fallout 3, given he was brought into the fold during the Lyons Era, he's a powerful entity within the BoS, I feel as though he wouldn't have let them fall back into the ideals of the west, nor would he have approved of this whole "genocide of an entire race" plan.
He obviously let everyone who stayed with Lyons onto his sick Spaceship.
is there a command/mod that removes collision between items in building mode?
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1267/? [editline]23rd November 2015[/editline] Not the best method, but there is that, or using the tcl approach.
Considering clean drinkable water was what made caps the de facto universal currency of the core region, I'd say its a pretty warranted value
yeah except water really isn't even remotely rare though all those idiots should just build a few water purifiers, it's not even hard i dont understand why daddy neeson thought it was such a big deal
Here's my (almost finished) Sanctuary:
yeah except water really isn't even remotely rare though all those idiots should just build a few water purifiers, it's not even hard i dont understand why daddy neeson thought it was such a big deal
Daddy Neeson had midlife crisis and wanted water for entire wasteland, plus his purifier was pretty powerful and I bet it was meant to do way more than just provide clean water itself.
is there a command/mod that removes collision between items in building mode?
pretty sure I remember reading that typing tlc in console will apply it to your buildings as well.
yeah except water really isn't even remotely rare though all those idiots should just build a few water purifiers, it's not even hard i dont understand why daddy neeson thought it was such a big deal
To be fair, the purifier nonsense in Fallout 3 still kinda made some sense. In FO4 your purifiers built out of scrap are mostly small scale and really only help purify small puddles or tiny creeks, or in the case of a larger body of water, just the immediate area around the purifier. Purity on the other hand was the intention to purify an entire basin of water as well as the entirety of the Potomac. I doubt a scrap metal purifier could do something like that. Sure, smaller-scale purifiers could have been used but the purpose of it was to lay the foundation for future infrastructure. It just makes life easier for everybody if you can just go to the largest body of water running through the entire capital wasteland and take a drink from it when you're thirsty or use it for irrigation than building settlements around smaller areas with small lakes and puddles of water.
