I can't for the life of me get my mods to work even after modifying both inis and using the mod manager. I'm trying to use a texture optimization mod, the expanded range of settlement items and a mod that lower fusion core usage but nothing works.
I wish the Gwinnet brews had better and varied stats to make finding those recipes for Buddy worth it.
Neat, I went back to Hardware Town and the Gunners had moved in. I liked that it wasn't the raiders back.
So apparently the Chinese Assault Rifle was found in Fallout 4's files..

It's in the game, but it can't be used yet. There's no textures for it, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's outdated compared to other weapons.
There's a Pipe Shotgun receiver in a similar state to it too.
reposting cause no answer was given
go up to nahant, it's a crescent-shaped island with a few locations on it like the nahant chapel, croup manor
there will be bos fighting around, some dead paladins should have it (it's how i got mine).

End Spoiler Talk
[sp]So I just ran rampant with the Railroad and blew up Father's science house and all his science friends.
Did I miss a chance to talk to him before the end or am I just supposed to assume he also exploded, it never came up as a quest action.[/sp]

Damn it Bethesda. I want a normal looking assault rifle, but all we got was a lewis gun from WW1 and a combat shotgun turned into a rifle.
I'm totally disappointed that FO4 didn't inherit Skyrim's dual wielding. I'd kill to be able to use a flashlight and a pistol simultaneously.
Hell, they missed an opportunity to have flashlights as weapon mods (muzzle slot I guess), duct-taped or actual.
Damn it Bethesda. I want a normal looking assault rifle, but all we got was a lewis gun from WW1 and a combat shotgun turned into a rifle.
The Assault Rifle is more like a Vickers than a Lewis, ya goof.
I disagree on the last bit though, journalists should always take blacklisting threats seriously, if you keep getting blacklisted by the large publishers for instance then sooner or later you're going to stop getting news to report on.
While I understand why you might think this, games journalism was a thing before "review copies" ,"inside views" and "exclusive reveals". Blacklisting is honestly only an issue for a journalist who doesn't know how to ask the right people the right questions. Most of the serious games journalists I follow have been blacklisted by at least one publisher (Usually Konami cause they throw it around like it's free candy at any vague attempt of criticism of their business).
Am I the only one that is slowly getting very annoyed by the fact that every single safe has the following loot layout:
- ammo type 1 (8-22)
- ammo type 2 (8-22)
- ammo type 3 (8-22)
- ammo type 4 (8-22)
- level based pistol
- valuable junk item with gold or silver
- pre war cash
I mean jesus christ every single safe is the same, I feel like they really missed out on so many chances to make looting actually exiting. I can walk into a room and predict to high accuracy what I will get from containers without actually opening anything which really takes away the exitement.
Open a safe in the bottom of a sealed military bunker that hasn't been occupied in over 200 years to find 18 rounds of 2mm gauss ammo, a marksman's stabilized compensated automatic high capacity junk rifle™ along with some wonderglue and pre-war money.

My bad. But my point still stands.
You were supposed to go up to his room and talk to him in his sci-fi bed.
[sp] Whoops, well if anything I prevented an awkward conversation. What a damn strange ending though, I feel like this game got so muddled up in all the factions + the institute that it forgot to make any of them feel like they were doing something important.[/sp]
Okay I'm losing my mind, the Fallout4Prefs.ini file is modified to let me access the Data menu, but even without using NMM I can't open it.

Are you using the beta patch?

i didnt see any botherhood there but i assume i can follow this same advice and just follow the vertibirds until a paladin or two dies
So I was out scavenging without power armor and with a nearly full inventory, and I was planning on doing Trinity Tower after I went back and freed up some space. All of a sudden I see a BoS vertibird fly around, and fly up to the top level of the tower and start shooting at shit. Then it got shot down (free BoS suits, wooh), and crashed in a an epic ball of fire.
I decided to do the tower right then because it would probably be easy. It sorta was, but now I'm struggling on the way down the elevator because the mutants keep tossing a grenade onto the platform, and I can't do anything about it but explode helplessly.

Or the best when you're at the bottom of the reactor literally swimming and find ammo in a chest.
Also, could anyone help me? I'm getting that strange bug with the spotlight from certain lamps (where the light on the ground isn't nice and round, but gross and hexagonal (or whatever). Also I've noticed that my lighting as a whole seems really... washed out? Almost as if the brightness is turned up just a tad too high, and everything is a little pale. I swear it wasn't like that before, and I haven't changed anything since then?
Yep using the beta patch I'm a tard.

i loved opening a safe that hasn't been touched in 200 years and i find some piece of crap pipe-pistol
Also i sort of liked Travis more before "fixing" him up. It's not that I don't like him not being a depressed neurotic pessimist, it's just more that i thought his "old" self was a bit more humorous.
How do you exactly fix him up?
We are speaking about the guy who runs Diamond City radio right? When I went to talk to him he just said some lines like a normal npc with no dialogue
pipe weapons in general are really annoying to find after level 5. I dunno why they even bothered putting them in.

a guard will give you a quest, go to the dugout inn
a guard will give you a quest, go to the dugout inn
Thank you!
I love settlement building, but I'm really disappointed that they didn't include more features that were present in the Fallout Shelter game. There's just not much for your settlers to do except guard, run stores, scrap, and farm. I'd love to be able to be a settler matchmaker to "increase my population," or send out some well armed people to find loot or junk. It would also be nice if they had more random conversations between one another, had more to say when you look at them/pass by them, or even just noticed when I give them a good weapon or some new clothing.
When I do the quest where I have to [sp] build the teleporter array, do I have to connect the pad thing with wires, the interface won't let me. I've hooked up the dish, the console, and the tower thing, but the pad just wont connect. Is there something I'm missing? I understand they need to be on the same grid, but does that mean some special wiring schematic or is it just "make sure they all have atleast one wire path between them somewhere".[/sp]

Damn, that is a great retro-future AK. Like, I'm actually saying I like an AK ripoff, that's how good it is. Really hope someone fixes it up and implements it.
Also I realized the Diamond City guns guy has R91s on his sign and it made me sad.
i uh
