Yeah but you also have the most important advantage of all, [del] hundreds of stimpacks [/del] You are the main character.
random raider #102492340 isn't the main character and he can survive a dozen rounds of buckshot to the face
Anyone else disappointed that there were no actual muskets?
Uhhhh that doesn't sound like a "decent" PC, that sounds like a really terrible and old PC.
I mean, i'm playing at 60 fps at Ultra and 1080p. The 800x450 was the old laptop stuff.
Anyone else disappointed that there were no actual muskets?
But there's absolutely no possible reason at all why there would be muskets in this world?
Anyone else disappointed that there were no actual muskets?
Might have been a cool gag weapon, but muskets have no place in the Fallout universe.
But there's absolutely no possible reason at all why there would be muskets in this world?
They could easily have been in the Museum of Freedom along side the Boston Tea Party display.
I figured you'd probably fine one in a museum or something, like Lincoln's Repeater.
I'm more upset that we can't grab those red coats.
The weapon variety feels very...frugal.
The weapon variety feels very...frugal.
they obviously intended the customization to add weapon variety but it really didn't doesn't help that a lot of the guns look like shit too
I think it's cool laser muskets are built on the fake ones from the museum
They could easily have been in the Museum of Freedom along side the Boston Tea Party display.
And? You can't just use a musket on its own, you need a bunch of other stuff to be able to actually use a musket, all things that would be either impossible to find in the world or would be way too big of a bother to be worth it.
they obviously intended the customization to add weapon variety but it really didn't doesn't help that a lot of the guns look like shit too
and it also adds a lot of really silly shit Like how putting a rifle stock on a laser pistol magically makes it do more damage, because it turns it into a laser rifle. Or how you can magically make a gun do more damage by switching out it's receiver without altering the ammunition in any way.
Codsworth is goody two shoes and only accepts positive answers, donating items and being nice. He'll hate your guts if you decide to say no to anyone, and will be all pissy if you use chems.
But then you just tinker with a few items and he loves you again.
Codsworth's basically the karma system redefined into the superior companion.

Can't be any harder than upgrading your laser gun. It would be a fun gimmicky weapon to have, like the lincoln repeater.
A musket would be a pretty cool early game power rifle. Like, it's damage could be on par with late-game rifles, but it only has a single shot and a really long reload time. Only problem is switching a weapon in and out automatically reloads it.
Like what ? a lead ball ? some black powder ? Can't be any harder than upgrading your laser gun. It would be a fun gimmicky weapon to have, like the lincoln repeater.
Packing the powder is the difficult part. But that could be worked around.
Packing the powder is the difficult part. But that could be worked around.
considering you can magically make a gun deal like twice as much damage as it normally would with it's professionally designed factory finish, using nothing but a box of scraps, i think that's probably the least of your worries
considering you can magically make a gun deal like twice as much damage as it normally would with it's professionally designed factory finish, using nothing but a box of scraps, i think that's probably the least of your worries
Most of the guns are mass-produced, I could see how you could tinker them to be more "powerful"
Might have been a cool gag weapon, but muskets have no place in the Fallout universe.
I thought the concept of the Laser Musket was actually really neat, the only thing that bothers me about it is that there's no trigger on it. How the hell is it shot? [editline]24th November 2015[/editline]
doesn't really make much sense considering the internals of a gun pretty much have nothing to do with the actual damage it can do its just rpg logic
Yeah, it really bothers me that you can just change the type of caliber a gun fires from .308 (7.62) all the way to a whopping .50, and the overall appearance of the gun doesn't change at all. Modifying something like that is a huge process and you'd basically be building an entirely new gun from the ground up.

Anyone got that imgur album of the Magazine pictures ripped from the files?

So, visually, it wouldn't change a *ton*
Or you could just pick up a rifle and some bullets and have something that is way more effective and is way easier to use.
That's the point, it's ridiculous, it would be a hilarious thing to use. It's not the practicality of it.
