doesn't really make much sense considering the internals of a gun pretty much have nothing to do with the actual damage it can do its just rpg logic
The way I've always looked at it in games is that the gun doesn't necessarily just suddenly rip 'n tear through people easier as much as you make it more efficient for yourself. Sure this view isn't exactly flawless but hey it makes more sense than the bullets suddenly becoming harder, better, stronger and faster [editline]24th November 2015[/editline]
You would, but keep in mind, a difference of .308 to .50 is literally less than 5 millimeters. So, visually, it wouldn't change a *ton*
You'd have to include other changes than the barrel's diameter growing
You'd have to include other changes than the barrel's diameter growing
That's kind of why I said "You would, but". The internals (that is to say, a good part of the receiver) would also have to change, but it wouldn't be nearly as dramatic as you guys make it out to be

Same thing with legendaries, they should all have something "unique", like maybe they're a different colour or something. It's silly that all the guns look pretty much the same. Honestly there's all around too little small unique things around. There could be a lot I haven't seen, but I've seen almost none so that's not a big relief.

Can't wait to see what DLC will bring. A lot of "named" things have just normal legendary prefix applications, just named something else (Kellogg's Pistol, Big Boy, etc)
This entire conversation was hilarious: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/392173647924632915/21083D52961702A0F00CF7ED9C8F83FEB778DD2B/[/t] I love the areas where raiders interact with each other if they haven't detected you yet. Hardware Town comes to mind as an example.
The grenade guy is a fucking legend
I was really hoping to find some guy making motorcycle sounds with his mouth. Alas hasn't happened and I don't think it will.

I've been working on the drive-in for a while. I didn't like what I had built there so I scrapped everything and started from scratch. The object clipping cheat table makes building way better. The one in the back is the shop from my first video, I was using that to test out some different ways of building. [t]http://i.imgur.com/1FNYuGN.jpg[/t] This is the building for my water purifier, right now it's also acting as a flophouse until I get around to building a place for everyone to live. [t]http://i.imgur.com/CjpRzWZ.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/SWZvKW7.jpg[/t] This is the new weapon shop, it's a little bigger than the other one and I moved some things around. There's also a weapon workbench inside now. Is it possible to romance a companion after choosing not to? Like, will the option come up in a conversation later?
The lack of a grenade rifle in this game is criminal, also the lack of the grenade MG
It looks like Bethesda was going to implement a grenade launcher at some point, seeing as there's a "Test Grenade launcher" in the ESM. Interestingly, the editor ID (DN029CannonLauncher) puts it alongside the 2076 World Series Baseball Bat (which is also amusingly marked as obselete by the editor ID), the HalluciGen Gas Grenade, and Grognak's Axe. No idea what the DN part of the editor IDs mean, though. It also has unique ammo called "M203 Shell", which seems to use a generic inventory model that was originally for something Wildcat. The projectile model is just the one for the Broadsider, though. I think that's all the information that we can get for it so far, though, seeing as FO4Edit can't display all the parts of records and record fields yet.
with the weapon discussion going on, I just realized the game has no BB gun jesus
Might anyone have seen or have the mod that makes the 2076 World Series bat have 100% chance to make enemies fly away? I saw it the other day but I absolutely cannot find it now
Stumbled upon this awesome Fallout fanart via Bethesda's twitter, I'd love to hang this against my wall; [t]http://img06.deviantart.net/e838/i/2015/200/f/a/fallout_tribute_by_j0sh_3000-d8y89fg.jpg[/t] Somehow it reminds me a lot of the cover art for All Roads comic for New Vegas, which I'd also love to hang on my wall; [t]http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/5/58/AllRoads01.jpg[/t] Gotta get me some frames and use my college's press printer, will look really awesome!
It wont, the resolution is too low.
with the weapon discussion going on, I just realized the game has no BB gun jesus
It feels like there's less than a dozen base weapons, that number should be much bigger, even with weapon mods.
It feels like there's less than a dozen base weapons, that number should be much bigger, even with weapon mods.
It's a shame that most weapons outside of the basic pipe weapons, assault rifle, combat rifle, etc. barely have a handful of mods. I was pretty disappointed that the Gatling laser has 3 or so mods, and the Fat Man only has one, which really limits them as viable weapons, especially late game when I find my 10mm pistol more effective than a minigun.
I hate just how little SPECIAL matters when you interact with npcs, even fallout 3 let you constantly state the obvious (and be praised as a genius for doing so) if you had 7+ INT. I started with 10 intelligence and bumped it up to 11 by finding the bobble-head. My character is literally the smartest character in the game, and yet, half of his dialogue with scientists and doctors throughout the story ends up being "haha nerd" or "wtf is a science i just shoot stuff"
Made a storage base to store my precious power armor frames. [t]http://i.imgur.com/9SJd1ic.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/b2grK8l.jpg[/t] "Yeh nat on the list." [t]http://i.imgur.com/bhs1IBp.jpg[/t] The curved door worked really well. [t]http://i.imgur.com/KbhRGzt.jpg[/t] Same on the other side. [t]http://i.imgur.com/iVOweEb.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/bQC6N0z.jpg[/t] Oh, and I installed a vertibird landing site on top of my power armory because why not.
Can you link to this cheat table? I've been subsiding on the carpet glitch so far.
You have to pick up the object you want to clip and while it's still placeable (highlighted green or whatever your UI color is) press F1. If you do it while the object is red it'll make it unplaceable, even if you should be able to. Once you have the clipping disabled it'll stay disabled, you don't have to do it for every new object. Fun game so far. [t]http://i.imgur.com/tgMfZbF.jpg[/t]
I'm glad there's no grenade rifle. Raiders fuck me enough with hand-thrown ones, I don't need them nailing me with a magazine full of them
So I'm on the first quest for [sp]Father[/sp] with Curie as my companion. No matter what I do I seem to get a "Curie disliked that" because the [sp]reclaim ends in me having to kill the two other raiders[/sp]. Is there NO way for it to go peacefully?
Behemoths throwing boulders during combat gave me flashbacks to bloodborne
Is it possible to romance a companion after choosing not to? Like, will the option come up in a conversation later?
They'll eventually talk to you again about it. Not sure how long it takes, but it's a while.
So I'm on the first quest for [sp]Father[/sp] with Curie as my companion. I tried to do it peacefully as well, but Curie will always dislike that, same as Deacon.
Nope. I tried to do it peacefully as well, but Curie will always dislike that, same as Deacon.
I guess my only option is to send her away before I go up there then. Shiet.
Is anyone else sad that Condition on armour and weapons is gone? At first I was glad because god damn if it wasn't frustrating finding a cool new gun you couldn't use because fuck you, but in Fallout 4 you already have the junk stuff with the screws and steel and aluminium, it'd have been easy to implement without being stupid. Mods will fix that, no doubt, but it's still kinda lame that that seems to be to answer to a lot of things.

So I had a bunch of them I never used.
