Is the vertibird landing site a mod or something you get from the BoS?
It's just a platform, they are both static models.
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1145/?
I wouldn't use it right now though, it's a bit, ehh.
Just wish the minutemen had more of an endgame.
Who knows, maybe something at all happens when there's no more new settlements to liberate :v
I like how it functions now, for the most part. Simple direct quests that give me an excuse to throw on power armor and mindlessly destroy shit, for some decent XP.
Near the end I just hope it's like- Don't keep saying that "one day we'll unite The commonwealth" just tell that I did unite it but raiders are always a problem so that justifies your infinite quest job. I like what it is now but if there is no difference from now and then- then that's what makes the Minutemen lame.
How do i start the minute m ending?
So how exactly are people making mods already? I want to try getting into it
also ive yet to get a gun that uses .50 and is not a modded hunting rifle and the rail spikes am i missing a secret?
A settlement mod which actually adds more lights, christ.

NEVER SHOULD HAVE COME HERE
They had as much interation with "locals" in the west coast and still despised the dumb idiots who just wasted technology anyway. They had a HQ in the middle of San Fran and still despised the Shi and everyone around them.
They really didn't, and quite frankly the West Coast didn't have to deal with the mess that was the Capital Wasteland and The Pitt, both places which were significantly more horrible than what the game manages to portray.
The East Cost "main branch" has none of the beliefs of the original Brotherhood. They just have power armor. Why even bother calling yourselves Brotherhood when you're not even adhering to the Codex anymore? It really makes no sense.
Now that's not true at all, they merely prioritized life over that of prewar technology, they still wanted pre-war technology and knowledge and in fact even saw the advantages of advancing past said pre-war technology instead of stagnating.
They kept the core Tenant of the BoS, which is why they still identify as the BoS, which was to protect and preserve technology, but they also managed to grow a conscience as well.
And even when the Enclave is introduced the Lyon BOS is still more interested in hugging people and telling them everything is going to be alright instead of jumping for all that sweet sweet tech right away. And people inside the own brotherhood doubted it but still followed Lyons for some reason and the ones that didnt and acted like the brotherhood would were the outcast ones. It was a mess.
I remember things differently, Lyons BoS wasn't busy "Hugging people and telling them everything was going to be alright" they were fighting the fucking Super Mutants to a standstill and attempting to protect the rest of the Capital Wasteland from what could very well be a large threat if left untreated.
Hell when they arrived in the Capital Wasteland the Super Mutant threat was significant, and still was even during 101's exit out of the Vault, however like I said, they managed to keep it down enough for the Capital Wasteland to actually have a chance at survival, these are people that have gone through a lot, seen so much pain and suffering, and you don't expect them to grow a conscience? That's somehow a massive impossibility for you? Really?
And yes, the larger group kicked out the smaller group, and said smaller group became known as the "outcasts" so what, the minority had no choice in the matter in this regard.
also ive yet to get a gun that uses .50 and is not a modded hunting rifle and the rail spikes am i missing a secret?
The modded hunting/sniper rifle is the only gun that uses .50. I suggest using it as an alternative currency since the .50 sniper rifle isn't that great, especially towards higher levels.
Do I have to join the Railroad by doing missions and stuff for them before being able to warn them about [sp]Bunker Hill[/sp]? I've only just given them the chip and nothing else and there's no option for me to warn them and Desmodona does nothing when I click on her.
also ive yet to get a gun that uses .50 and is not a modded hunting rifle and the rail spikes am i missing a secret?
[sp]There's a railway rifle that you can find, only consistent location is at Big John's salvage[/sp]
I don't think there's a weapon type that uses .50 by default.
They really didn't, and quite frankly the West Coast didn't have to deal with the mess that was the Capital Wasteland and The Pitt, both places which were significantly more horrible than what the game manages to portray.
They really didn't what
Open FO2 right now and go to san fran. walk around, talk to people.
also you're portraying the west coast like some kind of paradise comparing to the CW and that is just wrong. they had their share of hellholes, they dealt with the first and bigger mutant menace and they dealt with the main core of the enclave. all the rehashed ideas that lyon fought in 3 had their prime in the west coast

but they don't care. that's the point. they're fanatics and technology is their religion. they don't care about a bunch of orphans crying for water. they don't give you a radaway and wish you a good travel when you first meet them, they send you to die horribly in the glow so they can get some laughs. the only reason they give you any attention is because you give them great technology, they don't care about anyone else who doesn't. that's my main grip with Lyon's group, they had the same beliefs than the west coast, they were sent on a mission to recover tech but then they suddenly see mutants attacking people (not any news to them, mind you) and suddenly go all "woe is me those poor washington DC inhabitants let's ignore all we believe to protect them for reasons"
they don't even have any good tech for them to be interested in.

The West Coast almost got melted into super mutants and then poisoned to death and they still were more interested in vertibird plans
Yes, i don't expect an entire sect of the Brotherhood to grow a conscience and change that much.
And yes, the larger group kicked out the smaller group, and said other group became known as the "outcasts" so what, the minority had no choice in the matter in this regard.
Lyon's group is still the minority, though.
West Coast and Midwest BoS and now Commonwealth BoS all disagree with him. He had no support from any other sect of the Brotherhood and he still had his own dissidents to fight against. No matter how you look, he is the Outcast
It just goes to the small lake near the vault. There's some hostile dude in full combat armour with a sniper rifle you can kill nearby too.
Aw man, now I really need to find that place. I need that armor and rifle :v:
What Skyrim mod is this?
The Braveheart one
The shouts are great
The untextured Chinese Assault Rifle was probably supposed to be a unique quest reward like The Deliverer for doing the Chinese Sub mission.
This entire conversation was hilarious:

late reply but if you take out the lookout in front of the store, a new conversation erupts instead of the one that happens when you follow her inside

One outpost within a well protected city that doesn't have any threats does not compare to the Capital Wasteland's constant and unending threat's, as I've said the East coast BoS are always in the thick of things, while the West Coast barely have to do anything, and don't really have to interact with the locals as much as the Capital Wasteland might require the East Coast too.
And oh yes, totally, I totally remember them fighting the "bigger mutant menace" yep, that wasn't the Vault Dweller in any way shape or form, in which they barely gave him any aid whatsoever, what was it? Like Two Paladins from what I remember? And they didn't even go INSIDE the military base? and yes they totally took on the main core of the Enclave, yep... Totally wasn't the Chosen One doing all the work or anything.
And yes, comparatively the West coast IS a paradise compared to the East Coast, the West Coast BoS can pretty much sit in their bunkers and not give a shit, while not in the slightest having to worry about the peons outside.
but they don't care. that's the point. they're fanatics and technology is their religion. they don't care about a bunch of orphans crying for water. they don't give you a radaway and wish you a good travel when you first meet them, they send you to die horribly in the glow so they can get some laughs. the only reason they give you any attention is because you give them great technology, they don't care about anyone else who doesn't. that's my main grip with Lyon's group, they had the same beliefs than the west coast, they were sent on a mission to recover tech but then they suddenly see mutants attacking people (not any news to them, mind you) and suddenly go all "woe is me those poor washington DC inhabitants let's ignore all we believe to protect them for reasons"
You do know how much people can change over the years right? I've said it before, but it wasn't an instant change, the change took time, and generally speaking made complete sense with the general hostility of the East Coast, they were in the deep end for fucking years, seeing just how brutal the wasteland could really be, they saw shit the BoS in the west coast wouldn't concern itself with at all, and said things changed them.
Yes, i don't expect an entire sect of the Brotherhood to grow a conscience and change that much.
Well that's your problem not mine, it honestly makes perfect sense to me.
Lyon's group is still the minority, though.

They are the minority now yes, well they don't exist now but back then they were the only large BoS presence on the East Coast, so it made sense.

So does the Beta patch improve performance to any noticeable level or
heard there were some memory fixes
So does the Beta patch improve performance to any noticeable level or

I hear it does increase performance and yes it's apparently rather noticeable.
Yeeesh, the tattoo options you get with those magazines are terrible. Teardrop tattoos when?
I'll just wait until it works with mods. Performance is nice, but I need my mods.
I'll just wait until it works with mods. Performance is nice, but I need my mods.
I've stopped playing until mods/CDK/GECK/whatever they're calling it. Game is too barren and uninteresting after a good chunk of hours.
I'm stuck with mods not working as well. I modified the .ini files and I'm not in the steam beta, are people talking about some other Fo4 beta than the one in steam files? By not working I mean the tool for selecting .esp files doesn't show up in the launcher, and the only mod I have installed I think doesn't work.

Using that one, lots of the lights don't work very well, i.e. the light coming out from the center of a street lamp.
What's the command to succeed building limit? And where are people getting all these special settlement pieces from? More commands?
I was so disappointed when I found out the power fist that I got at a construction site wasn't just unique looking because it was a legendary, but all power fists look like they were made out of trash? Really?
I made some more progress on my settlement. I've been playing this all day and all I've done is build. :v:
I know a lot of people don't really like having living trees but I think it makes the settlements look nicer, plus I had some open gaps that couldn't really be used for anything else. There's going to be a general store and clinic on the right, then at the far end by the drive-in booth I'll have a housing area/diner.

Put the text in the main folder.
Go into the workbench. Then open console. Click the workbench and type "bat settlement"
Leave workbench, go back in.
