Alternatively you can just drop whatever base weapon you want to have a legendary effect, click on it and type amod <effect id>
Hey guys, any idea how to enable the vanity spinning camera to be faster? (You know, when you're afk and it starts to be cinematic)

Looks like Joel from The Last of Us.
For anyone that got the collectors edition game guide. What are the dimensions of the map poster and the SPECIAL posters? I want to frame them.
I renamed it [sp]Nora[/sp]
Holy shit, it just hit me. [sp]The Sole Survivor isn't the only one with a dead frozen wife name Nora.[/sp]

Boy, this sure took a while to get done. But I think it came out pretty good in the end, I think it looks better than the default Harness. If anyone wants the files I can upload it somewhere.
Yes please, the default harness looks pretty bad.
How the hell do those hanging light bulbs work? I can't seem to wire a generator to them and sometimes they'll just power on on their own if I place one near a generator and sometimes they won't power on at all.
I wish the gunners were more than some pointless high level raiders. Besides the [sp]MacCready[/sp] quest there's really nothing else to them. I'd love a huge side story mission involving a war against the gunners.

Regardless I did this myself in Quincy and in their home base with my X-01 and fucked them all up.
For some raiders who dress in [sp]military fatigues and equipment[/sp] and [sp]operate out of a old research laboratory before it got fucked by a courser as one of their many strongholds[/sp] you'd expect them to have more of a overall presence in the story.

You're basically destined to be Mr. Freeze once you get the Cryolator.

[sp]Depends on which version of Freeze you mean.[/sp]

I believe you put a power conduit near the area and wire to it to turn it on.

Here you go:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/a665zgspqbhh2jp/Harness+Tank+Top.rar
Extract this into your data folder and add ", TEXTURES\, MESHES\, MATERIALS\" after the "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\" line in your Fallout4.ini if you haven't done that already. This will also have the side effect of making the male version of the harness be completely topless but honestly I think that also looks better.
Also, if anyone cares how I did it, it was all in NifSkope and with texture editing. First I had to edit the alpha of the base texture to make the harness itself invisible, then I copy and pasted the underwear mesh from the unused underwear clothing onto this one, but that one also had shorts as part of the mesh so I had to also edit that material to make the shorts invisible. Then, since the original harness model had the entire upper torso included with it and that clipped with that shirt a bunch, I had to manually select each of the vertices that were under the shirt and move them out of the way by editing its location values, which is the part that took probably over an hour alone.

Holy shit I never noticed that. So potential [sp]husband/wife companion in a DLC[/sp]? That'd be pretty awesome, barring [sp]the fact that I made the husband into a hideous monstrosity that makes Hancock look handsome[/sp].

Thank you much!
Dammit, merge.
Well, cause Fusion Cores are ammo for the Gatling Laser too, lategame you get SO many it's not even funny (99 is what I say I have but I DO have more, the power armor just won't display more and I can't be assed to count it), and around that time, you should have a fully upgraded XO-1 and there's literally no downside to just being in it all the time and it's just faaaar too strong. It's made Survival mode a joke difficulty, so 200% would make it a more "sacrifice something to clear something tough" choice. Of course if anyone were to make a mod like that they'd probably include choices.
Oh, and about how you think it's lame that power armors use cores, like I said, they are so strong they make the lategame a joke, Deathclaws and Mirelurk Queens do nothing to me, so if I could roam around in it for free it'd just be plain boring. Plus, I like the sense of resource deprivation the system provides
To keep myself from using power armor too much, I have a self imposed rule: I'm not allowed to press two movement buttons at the same time while in PA. Makes movement something you have to think about and makes PA feel markedly less agile than a normal character. Makes clearing hallways feel better, more robotic, more Space Hulky.

[sp]they didn't think about it and you can open up the cryopod after you get out of yours, mine was open all game and she should be a gross skeleton by now[/sp]
[sp]Also I somehow doubt bleeding out in a cryopod will end well. I figure it doesn't say she's deceased because opening her pod made the computers think that cryopod was no longer occupied, as far as they know there's no one in there.[/sp]

At least playing on survival and getting a shitload of legendaries gives it more variety.

It's on even ground with FO3 minus the DLCs. I'm disappointed but wasn't expecting any more than that, FNV had a lot more weapons, but they already had the basics done for them, plus quite a few of those weapons were exceedingly rare and may as well have been cut content (RIP .22 silenced SMG, you were too useless for this world).
edit: also at least two weapons, the Syringer and Railway rifle, are missing
Plus the Institute weapons, though those are just mediocre mass-produced laser weapons

Honestly. I would prefer more weapons and unique weapons instead of 20 mods for a couple of weapons and legendary effects.

holy shit that's bad
I really want the 10mm smg back, I just loved the way it looked.
Yeah the 10mm pistol can be modded for automatic, but that's different. You could give the SMG a stock, change it's firerate, give it a drum mag, all kinds of cool stuff.

I'm putting bets on that they'll add a lot more in the dlc.
Also, come to The Slog! One of the best 'Ghoul friendly' bars in the Commonwealth! Owned by Doug Dimmadome! Owner of the Diamond City DimmaDome!

i was actually thinking last night about that post about how the institute laser weapons are just super shit versions of the default.
what if instead of being pulsed shots, it's more like a beam laser, a constant super accurate stream of energy (which would have to be greatly reduced in damage). that way the two laser rifles offer different play styles rather than being bootleg copies
i don't know how difficult that would be to edit with the GECK though.
All/most weapons should have been as moddable as laser weapons. If a 10mm pistol could become a 10mm SMG with the clip and everything, or had a long barrel and one of those weird pistol stocks attached to become a rifle, or given a cylinder to become a crazy huge sci-fi revolver, that would've been really fun, and fit very well in a Fallout game.
And Bethesda-senpai needs to notice unarmed weapons. (i'm not an animu, am i doing right?)
That list is missing the revolutionary sword.
