that would probably be a pain in the ass to play against though, and synth robutts aren't exactly rare enemies so you'll be fighting them a lot
The institute weapons seem to be shitty mass-manufactured hunks of plastic, just like synths. Pre-gen3 synths are literally only a threat because of their numerical superiority

Yeah I was wondering if there might be a console command to get him out of it but I wouldn't know, but I can't trade with him or anything, I dont think the game even realizes hes wearing it anymore. If you watched that video, I'm trying to talk to him the whole time :v:

It makes sense, but I still wish they were significantly different. Being constant beam weapons would've emphasized how high-tech they are. Could also have been recharger weapons 2.0, since they're somewhat more early game energy weapons.

I found a hatch around Concord that has an option to detonate it and doesn't do anything. Is it connected to a quest or something?

It's a random encounter I think, I once found it and when I reloaded because I killed the dude near it, it changed to the atom cast guy with the scrapped car (which I reloaded too and now I can't find him :frown:)
I could open in tho, it exploded and allowed me to get in.

The video wasn't loading for some reason, Facepunch kinda craps itself when it comes to that.
Can you get the Settler's id from a previous savegame, then do prid his id, and then do disable, would that work? (disable is another command you can enter)
1. Load savegame with the settler who stole your armor.
2. Open the console and click on him.
3. Write prid SettlerID (it should be saved either way but just in case)
4. Load the bugged Power Armor savegame.
5. Open the console and push the Up arrow (to load the last thing you typed), or just type prid SettlerID, then push enter.
6. Enter the disable command.
