No one told me that when you're placing a turret at your settlement, you can choose between 4(?) different types by going back and forth in the item list until you get the one you want.

It's not cosmetic, I checked.
I don't understand, all I get is normal 5.56mm turrets.

Please explain. I'm desperate for that outfit.

It is okay you are not alone.
I wish lights illuminated more. I use the fan all the time because that is the only light source that gives off any damn light, And spamming fans everywhere just to light up a room effectively is ugly looking.
I wish we had real streetlights, a few more styles of lamps, and the ability to change the colour of normal lights to make them a little less grey.

[sp]Paladin Brandis one of the first brotherhood missions, shot him in the face and claim your reward.[/sp]
[sp]Also you should probably make him attack you to be safe though its really easy.[/sp]

That would be nice instead of going fullbright with lightbulbs everywhere

Is there any other way? I'm already past that.

[sp]Too bad marching in and killing everyone isn't actually a viable option because it breaks the quests.[/sp]
Is there any other way? I'm already past that.
I don't think so its the only place i saw it.
Just beat it on the Railroad side, holy shit this last quest is dumb. [sp]Let's save everyone, nope wait just shoot everyone. At least you get the dialogue option to Shaun that is basically "Are you so fucking stupid that you can't figure out that you're doing mad science shit????[/sp]

[sp] Overall their whole quest line is stupid. Most of it consists of working with the institute. Sure you are a double agents of sorts. But everything you could be reporting on you can't. [/sp]
As someone who pretty much just started (I'm still on my way to the city), is there anything I would be a monumental moron if I didn't take a detour to pick it up?
I want to be as well-prepared as possible. Been microing the hell out of my weapons to maximize everything I can on them.

How'd you do this? All I'm getting are regular 5.56 turrets.
[editline]27th November 2015[/editline]
fucking finally found a mod that replaces the pip boy light with a headlamp style one

wtf why was the BoS at [sp]The Battle of Bunker Hill[/sp]?
I didn't [sp]inform them at all.[/sp]
[sp]I'm assuming that they are all there regardless but the factions you warn are more ready than the others?[/sp]
looks like I found a use for all those shitty light poles that don't even illuminate that much. Are your textures/cubemaps modded? Those armors are awfully shiny.
I used a mod that I linked on page 44 to clean up the rust from the T60 armor. Unfortunately, the mod author got himself banned and his mods are no longer on the nexus :(

I think [sp]both BOS and Railroad appear at bunker hill[/sp], its kinda dumb but whatever, if you're [sp]allied with the BOS they won't aggro on you, even if you shoot them[/sp], so its not really a problem.
not sure if spoilery or not, but ill put it in spoilers just in case
EDIT: I just noticed that NONE of the [sp]terminals in The Institute are plugged in[/sp], Bethesda this is extremely immersion breaking, I need someone to mod in power cables pronto.
The faction system doesn't actually work even remotely, every single situation where factions interact are completely and utterly broken
The institute weapons seem to be shitty mass-manufactured hunks of plastic, just like synths. Pre-gen3 synths are literally only a threat because of their numerical superiority
To be honest, it'd make more sense for the Institute laser weapons to be the better ones, seeing as they haven't been lying dormant under a layer of nuclear fallout and rust for 200 years, plus the tech advancements the Institute have been making. Would help make synths be more of a threat too.
I know supermutants aren't meant to be smart, but, is it realistic to have one of the suicide mutants blow himself up because of a mirelurk?
Its christmas time in the wasteland!

I've been pretty much avoiding Boston as much as possible but only because I've wanted to avoid any main quest stuff.

The last part is slightly longer so yeah
mods and suffixes really arent enough to count as a completely different weapon
Why not ? As far as weapon diversity goes in FO3 / NV the only difference between *a lot* of the weapons was just the model, damage, spread, fire rate and clip size, which weapon mods all change.
Whole bunch of weapons are there from the previous games under the form of a weapon mod.
The 10mm smg is the automatic receiver for the 10mm pistol, literally does the same thing except more customizable.
The Service Rifle is there for both the combat rifle & the assault rifle, again receivers and more customizable.
The Antimaterial rifle is a hunting rifle mod, as are the other sniper rifles in the games actually.
On and on, just because it's not a completely different model or sound doesn't mean the functionality isn't there.
[Confidence Man quest spoilers maybe]
[sp]So I'm about to fight the bully in the Dugout Inn with my power armor on and I'm like "yeah this is gon b easy, just gotta punch the guy until he's knocked out or something"
As soon as the fight starts, Piper loads her entire clip on him, killing the bully in the process
Funny thing is that I am the one who the bartender blames for killing the guy
I had to tell Piper to leave so I could propery do the quest, but I think it goes on even if he dies[/sp]

Well maybe the appeal of some weapons are their models & sounds
What I would love to see in a mod is the NCR Ranger armor, I know it wouldn't fit but it would look really cool with the cloth movement and all
Covenant spoilers
[sp] I sided with Dan and killed the compound thus killing the town, How do i make the turrets count towards defense i've already used setownserhsip on the beds to fix them not being usable.[/sp]
