Covenant spoilers [sp] I sided with Dan and killed the compound thus killing the town, How do i make the turrets count towards defense i've already used setownserhsip on the beds to fix them not being usable.[/sp]
I really think it's funny you save one person and then [sp]you have to kill a bunch of innocents just because.[/sp]
I expected so much more out of the black and white ending scene they give you. Its literally just [sp]"Yea this sucks but its gonna be alright". I expected a nice little recap about the state of affairs in the Commonwealth, how everyone is doing, and how I effected it all.[/sp] Great gameplay HORRIBLE writing.
I really think it's funny you save one person and then [sp]you have to kill a bunch of innocents just because.[/sp]
And I still don't understand why some companions dislikes me entering the town.

I've played about 75 hours so far. Only used Power Armor for the mission at the beginning and moving power armor around my settlements. I haven't once used it for anything other than that.
I'm having a hard time deciding whether the decision you have to make for Mass Fusion/Spoils of War is cool for how weighty it is, or fucking dumb and frustrating. without replying, Agree for if you liked the choices offered or Disagree for not
I've played about 75 hours so far. Only used Power Armor for the mission at the beginning and moving power armor around my settlements. I haven't once used it for anything other than that.
Honestly I only use it when I feel like punching shit to death.
Is it possible to completely disable shadows? They're pretty laggy for me, even on the lowest settings.
I've played about 75 hours so far. Only used Power Armor for the mission at the beginning and moving power armor around my settlements. I haven't once used it for anything other than that.
I've been living in my power armor for the past ~80 hours or so, I haven't bought a single fusion core and I have 55 full ones on me atm. It felt cool getting suited up the first few times because it seemed like a special occasion (the first time I got back in after finding the first set was to venture into the Glowing Sea), but when I realized I wasn't gonna run out of fuel even without paying for it the armor kinda lost that allure. Now I just take it off to make sales trips into the major markets because I have better carry weight outside of the armor than in it, thanks to deep pocketed equipment. Oh and having found that Arturo sells shipments of aluminum I don't even have to worry about repairing it any more, so that's not a deterrent either. As much as I like what they did with power armor in this game, it's pointlessly easy to use and maintain. Fusion cores should have been much more sparse, not all weapons vendors should sell them, and for fuck's sake I should not be able to sell a 0/100 fusion core for the same price as a 100/100 core.
I was thinking about how the game steadily declines from a strong start all the way to the weak, lacklustre ending is this the state of games now? you focus the majority of resources on the first 3 hours, since that the reviewers and previewers will sample? and fuck the ending because it doesn't effect sales
Probably late on this, but boy what a lackluster story and ending. Lackluster pretty much the entire RPG aspect of the game, really. The world is at least pretty great, the engine's much improved (still need to replace it though) and compared to Fallout 3 the gameplay is much better. Still, the weapons feel for the most part useless and even with the customization gimmick left me noticeably more dissatisfied than I was with New Vegas's arsenal selection. It took me about two dozen hours before I realized that exploration wasn't going to net me anything actually cool beyond maybe a skill mag or a bobblehead though. Seeing as though I've dumped 60 hours in to this playing Survival/Very Hard I'm not going to say that the game's trash or anything, but I've come away less satisified than I was with new Vegas by a large margin. The direction they went in seriously screwed the RPG aspect of the game for me, I couldn't make actually build a character beyond SPECIAL and perks that are mostly terrible, and the premade character the game provides you with isn't even fleshed out enough or the RPG elements deep enough for anything you do or say to matter. Having a preexisting character actually makes it easier for them to tailor dialogue, reactions and consequences and shit, yet they failed to do that. It's like they half-baked the entire RPG part of the game. Hell, there was one instance in the game for me where my stats actually mattered, and that was having more than 3 intelligence for repairing stuff on a certain quest (rather than buying the parts or taking them from a chest literally five foot away). I was also immensely dissatisfied with the lack of options for completing quests. Maybe I'm just bored of shooters by this point, but I really don't like the direction they went. Maybe Obsidian spoiled me with New Vegas, but even Fallout 3 managed to at least let you make your character an asshole and affect people beyond asking for more caps or caps up front. Wasteland 2 here I go! [editline]a best[/editline] Curie's cool though, and I liked Nick. They stand head and shoulders over the kinds of NPC's you'd see in Fallout 3, and for me personally I like them as much as some of the New Vegas companions too. Curie is cvte! CVTE!
[sp]When doing that fight the guy somehow got aggro for real, so the AI reacted to him as hostile and the bartender shot him dead. Games have been doing this for a loooooong time.

Great start, lackluster end - safe reviews and sales, dissatisfied players Poor start, awesome end - blows people's expectations, shit reviews sublime start to finish - masterpiece, fandom nitpicks to no end
not always
If it's a really fucking horrible barely playable game then yeah they won't finish it but 95% reviewers won't write a review until they've at least reached a ending.

So I finally found a Gauss Rifle. [sp]Finally decided to visit Combat Zone and LO AND BEHOLD THERE WAS ONE RAIDER THAT RANDOMLY HAD ONE![/sp] I died like 3 or 4 times trying to get it.
Yeah I'm pretty much expecting non-lore friendly tacticool carbon stock weapons covered in rails and shit. Some of the most prolific modders have a habit of doing that. I like Millenia but I seriously doubt even he would make very lore-friendly weapons. When people get a chance to make something new and unique they just go retreading reality because it's all their comfortable with/have no imagination.
P90s and deagles are canonical, sorry.

Was making my female character for my second playthrough. Decided to change the husband up a bit to see how it affected what Baby Shaun looked like. He looks like a troll. [t]http://i.imgur.com/CcW4mAZ.jpg[/t]
Man, I think I've pretty much done everything at this point, but I still want more content. Has there been any word on when the first DLC is coming out, or and content updates at all? This game doesn't have nearly as much content as New Vegas. I'm pretty disappointed. All I have left is to grind levels until I max out all the perks, but that's going to take forever.

I decided to turn off all quest markers and just roam around the Glowing Sea for a bit. [sp]The only things I got out of it were a plasma caster and a partial set of X-01 armor[/sp]
KL-E-0 romance mod when?
your first "date" is getting her mini nukes for... reasons...
