[sp]Grognaks Axe is in a case in Hubris Comics, you need to be able to pick advanced locks to get in it though[/sp]
I've been tripping over so many fusion cores that i'm practically always in power armour, mainly because i'm an inveterate packrat. That, and i'm waiting for the perfect opportunity to goomba-stomp a raider from a tall building.
I think I did that by accident during the power armor tutorial :v:
Seems to vary, My impression is that they wont shoot a ghoul they know isn't feral, but they often wont make the effort to get close enough to one to ask before shooting.
Kinda odd attitude, seeing how synths are kinda the same deal to some degree.
Drinkin' Buddy is the best character.
I really want to try TTW, but it seems like most of the converted mods were maintained by one person who stopped maintaining them (like EVE) and are out of date.
Is there any way to remove the iron sights EVE for FNV adds? They're so distracting and ugly.
This reminds me of that mod someone was working on F4 where it removes iron sights and replaces simple zoom. I wonder if that creator is still working or still reading this thread. I hope ya are.
I'm thinking about starting to venture south, considering the farthest I've gone south for something not story related was the south boston checkpoint, Considering how many deathclaws I've run across in the north part of the map, I pretty much expect Deathclaws everywhere.

It's not like the mods they were based had any recent changes
I'm playing TTW again and all the mods work just fine. As long as it's compatible with 2.9 or 2.8 you're good to go because the biggest changes happened after 2.7
small inconsequential mods barely matter
and every NV mod already works with new vegas so stuff like GBMM and RWD, even without conversions, still work just fine and affect the CW the same way
It appears they tried their best to make enemies mechanically more difficulty rather than numerically. With the new cover system and how Ghouls will sometimes dodge out of the way if you're aiming at them, that sort of thing.
they did an amazing job too
but there is only so much you can do while still keeping it fair
"Hard" and "Very hard" are fair to me
Drinkin' Buddy is the best character.
I want a mod that makes him a companion, he'd use a junk jet and only fire beer out of it. :v:
I'm very hesitant to mod the game now that it's impossible to disable automatic updates to a game in Steam outright. You have to do some atrocious workarounds.
they did an amazing job too

The balance is still kinda wonk, some enemies are insanely more tough than stuff surrounding them and seem to needlessly show up. Some Mr.Gutsy models could take my Power Armor'd character from full to dead in a few seconds with some kind of MG that seems like it has 10x the fire rate it should.
I also extremely dislike how melee combat only feels kinda good against gun using enemies, and if you try to fight anything with melee, it's a miserable block/attack, block/attack pattern. If you try to attack first, you'll just get stumbled mid-animation.
It kinda took an inverse take from FO3/NV. In those, I used melee without VATS, and guns almost required in. In FO4, guns feel great without VATS (except small flying enemies in poorly optimized areas), and melee feels eh.
Why the fuck did they make it so whenever you tune into diamond city radio it always triggers travis's stupid bullshit, I'm so tired of it, you are forced to listen to him ramble on for 40 seconds before any music plays
confident or not I want to delete every single one of his lines
I'm more scared of Mr. Gutsy's than Sentry Bots or even Deathclaws.

Assaultrons are the scariest thing, by far.
I feel like I'm in the minority in that I loved Mothership Zeta and Operation Anchorage.
Then again, I liked them more for the mods they spawned than the dlc itself.
Speaking of which, they could easily get away with rehashing OA story-wise as well. The [sp]Memory den[/sp] completely set that up.
FO4 has the toughest looking deathclaws but they are the weakest in the series
Go figure

Assaultrons and suiciders are the worst when you hear their charging noise and can't find them.

I disagree but i can see your point
I loathed every second playing Mothership Zeta but MZC was a fun mod. Cryo stuff also had a lot of potential that modders used better than bethesda
I can't find a single thing to defend O:A though. You don't do an entire DLC devoted to combat in a game with terrible combat mechanics, Bethesda, jesus.
Weird, I found this empty suit of Raider Power Armour looking at a wall next to a bunch of raiders, it's already got it's core in it and I can't get inside of it, nor can I access it's inventory.

And companions can't get in it either, any ideas?
I didn't mind OA, mostly because I stuck with my stealth build and so pretty much the whole thing was a cakewalk.
And jesus christ the shocksword sure made said stealth build unstoppable afterward.
I've never encountered a Mister Gutsy with all of its limbs.

Most of my dislike of O:A comes in the fact that they scrapped the two things that made fallout 3 fun for me (exploration and collecting stuff) for a linear, FPS-based mechanic where you just walk from place to place to shoot some guys and that's it. I never expected quality writing and characterization after playing the main game, i just wanted some nice locations to explore and grab stuff. They ignored the two strongest points from the main game and focused on one of the weakest.

Shoot the fusion core
Is the quest for Drinkin' Buddy broken? I sent him to one of my settlements but the quest is still active and just says (Optional) Send to Rexford.
Man I'm still kinda reeling over the fact I was able to not only dissuade those chem pushers who were threatening what's-her-name in that diner, but shake them down for all their money and tell them to scram, all on the first try.
Starting the game with 7 charisma, ladies and gentlemen.
So i'm re playing dead money with my all new character made during the summers (made a long break)
and with the mods of lightning (realistic wasteland lightning) the game is DARK as FUCK. And when i say DARK as FUCK it's literally Pitch-black,the pip boy light is not enought. The only thing i can see is the (rare) lamps and the eye of those fucking ghosts. This make it really creepy but also more raging. fortunately chip are not really rare so i'm always packed up on stimpack. I love this game.
About dialog.
For the moment you need to ask dean to stay in his place to activate the gala event, there's like 3 check, one for repair, one for science and one for speech. This is fucking amazing. When with christine, you can just use terrifying presence. And for dogs, you can just lock him up. This is absolutely amazing. I try to make it peaceful between us and i'm totally blind on how to do it for Dean. Look like i failed when i hears his dialog. :p
So bad it's not like that in fallout 4.. :(
But holy shit, realistic damage really make the spears OP i always get one shot by the fucking spears.
Is the thing where holding a heavy weapon or melee weapon while talking to someone making dialog checks easier to pass still a thing?
Looks like the peasants are organizing some kind of.. comedy club?
(I actually didn't arrange this, it just happened)
From what I know they stand around till bedtime unless you have a bar/food stall. They'll crowd around that then.
i wish that perk that let you pacify people was more useful, it feels like a lil bit of an afterthought
like they're pacified, then what?
my character can talk to them and be all WE CAN DO THIS THE EASY WAY........, if I shoot them they start attacking anyway, if I pickpocket them they sometimes go aggressive anyway, if I lower my weapon they go aggressive anyway
it'd be nice if like you did bonus damage against targets you pacified so in a firefight you could pacify as many targets as possible, kill the people who wouldnt surrender, then execute them in cold blood becus ur a sociopathic law graduate
