Is solar power even a thing in the fallout universe
FO2 has the Solar Scorcher, though you get it from a non-canon random encounter. It probably existed, just to a very limited degree; not enough to power the ridiculous amounts of energy they were using pre-war. edit: oh yeah and also the GIGANTIC SOLAR POWER STATIONS in new vegas how on earth did i forget those
I don't like that if you lower your weapon they turn hostile again.
I don't think they do, that never happened to me with the third rank at least, I don't really remember if they did before I did notice you can only have one enemy following/incited, the previous will turn hostile (you can have as many as you want keeping their hands up). They'll also turn hostile if you try to access terminals (and lockpick?), unsure if it's a bug or they're trying to take you by surprise

Kind of weird and curious to know what they were going to be used for, or if they were just going to be used but leftover for something else. [editline]27th November 2015[/editline] And no there was nothing in the cig machine.
The New Vegas solar stations bothered me a bit. The energy crisis doesn't make as much sense if solar power is not only developed but efficient enough to be used as an actual power source and sturdy enough to survive two hundred years after a nuclear blast. And they're well developed enough to be readily available and producing power on two different locations with interchangeable parts, too.
Compiled a bunch of footage: [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/cqffea.webm[/vid]
for some reason it is almost as if this music fits fallout more than default, especially since first two games were more mad maxish than leave it to beaverish.

The arrays maintain a small facility in Nellis. Helios One barely has power to keep a small town and if you try to divert it to everywhere it just breaks. And there is no power and tech around anywhere else to do more, you need to get leftovers from Helios to repair Nellis The energy crisis makes plenty of sense because you can't go around putting solar panels everywhere (and this is part of why Helios was so valuable to the NCR and the brotherhood too, valuable enough to put those two at war) but the river is still flowing so Hoover Dam is way more important. Also, the Mojave wasn't as bombed as anywhere else thanks to House, so facilities like Helios and Hoover Dam stood still there and the water isn't as irradiated as the rest of America. It's kind of why so many people are fighting for a big desert anyway.

Cait quest spoiler rant [sp]now that she's clean, she's now morally obligated to get after me for using chems. I guess I gotta ditch her which is a shame because she was the best match for my character.[/sp]
I never really use chems. The game is too easy for me after level 40, even after turning it to very hard.
Also for people who want to use Tattoos but don't want them to mostly suck here's a pretty nice mod, it still sucks that we can't move some of them from the middle of our forehead without the actual modding tools yet though. Also looks like they went apeshit with CrazyBump.
lol [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34721652/2015-11-15_00005.jpg[/t]
I aint looking for anything too OP for a sidegrade, just a weapon I can use that doesn't instantly turn everything I point at into mush like my Explosive Minigun does. :v:
I fucked up. I shot a guard in the head near Diamond City out of anger, because I died to a Legendary Yao Guai earlier. Then I ran away, and now they are permanently hostile towards me. Any help reverting the hostility? I got all my weapon crafting stash n shit there.

Has anyone else encountered ludicrously low FPS for no reason? Beforehand I've been running flat 60 across all areas mostly, but it seems that after I started a new game (running the same settings and everything, including windowed borderless) the game runs at around 10-15 FPS godrays off, IN CHARACTER CREATION. Already turned off the game's vsync but that didn't work.
The launcher borderless option never did anything to improve FPS for me I'd still recommend playing default windowed but adding FO4 to some program that handles full screen borderless like Borderless gaming or GameCompanion

how in the fuck did you even get that
There any console commands to get the Legendary weapon enchantments? I'd love to get a Double-Barreled shotgun with a high damage effect, to make it viable over the combat shotgun.
The double-barrel from Point Lookout in FO3 is my all time favourite weapon, it had great range and incredibly short reload speed, running around Mothership Zeta giving the alien bitches both barrels of some rusty ass widowmaker was amazingly satisfying. I got the two-shot double barrel pretty quick in FO4, but like most shotguns in FO4 it has difficultly hitting anything more than 5ft away.
how in the fuck did you even get that
Console commands basically let you mix and match weapon parts, you can create tons of different weapons.
Is there a mod that lets you place objects through the map and other placed elements when building settlements ?

The TF2 shotgun is pretty good at midrange, and it feels great to use.
how in the fuck did you even get that
It's a custom gun mod that works exactly like the gun mod glitch in metal gear solid v
Also I really want a mod that makes [sp]Drinking Buddy[/sp] essential, I don't feel safe having him in my settlement, anything could kill the poor guy. :ohno: I know it's possible to make him essential using the console, but it isn't a permanent fix since it just resets itself every time you restart the game.
