So uh. How do you fix the bug where when you switch weapons using the shortcuts, your character sometimes takes upwards of ten seconds to actually draw it? I've been killed several times SOLELY because of this.
Go into third person
so uh, yeah, that covenant quest well at least now i have a cool settlement [sp]and a bonfire to make[/sp]
I expected so much more out of the black and white ending scene they give you. Its literally just [sp]"Yea this sucks but its gonna be alright". I expected a nice little recap about the state of affairs in the Commonwealth, how everyone is doing, and how I effected it all.[/sp] Great gameplay HORRIBLE writing.
People keep saying the writing is horrible but I actually disagree in many ways. The writing is decent most of the time, sometimes awful, and sometimes pretty great (some amazing fucking companions in this game I tell you what), it is just that the means of exploring said writing are trash. The dialogue system is so limiting and makes it impossible to have a good, fleshed out conversation with any NPC and the horrible engine holds back a lot of the quests. Plus the non-linear design of the quest actually hampers it in this case, since you character's progression is completely fucked (have your character stumble into the wasteland and horde caps and only get the option to ask about currency 20 hours in). Still, many of the characters are interesting and although the factions often make dumb decisions or are shallow, they at least tried to give some morality to the whole thing.

Some moments in this game, man Holy shit that thumbnail's fucked up. It's like I was hit by the Mountain Dew storm. I gotta start using WebM.

I've been wondering. If i use junk in the workshop with multiple components like say using duct tape cloth for beds. Will it store the adhesive in the workshop or will it consume the other component completely.

How are people having trouble finding fusion cores? They drain so slowly that by the time the first run I ran out I had 3 more, and that was after giving 3 to [sp]Vault 81[/sp]. At the point where I had 35 of them I hadn't left my power armor for anything but crafting. I eventually got a mod to double fusion core drain because it was ridiculously slow.
Also apparently I mentioned it a while ago, but I've heard it from a few people now, have yet to hear it myself but... It's either Merchants or trade caravans at Bunker Hill that apparently start talking about rumors and mention that the NCR kicked the Legion out of the Mojave. I'm still awaiting to find it for myself to see if it's completely 100% true though.
This mod might be cool for the interior lights. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2139/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D2139%26preview%3D&pUp=1 I'm not sure if I should bother with the outdoor version.
Anyone else got pissed off at how there was no resolution with the [sp]observation logs and windows[/sp] in [sp]vault 81[/sp]. You read the notes and when you finish that quest back there the NPC is just "Alright, cool, thanks. Heres your reward". It's so common how the game doesn't even allow you to indulge in dialogue about things you learned while on your quest.
Woo, no more shitty interior fog. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2428/?
Ok it really pisses me off how you can't interrupt a reload to sprint. Whenever I have to run away from a strong melee creature is when I am out of ammo and you know, have to reload but instead if i don't switch weapons i just walk away and get hit in the back instead. It stops me from relocating to safety to reload.

Do the institute have any repeatable quests like the other factions?
Really getting annoyed with how my settlers keep getting kidnapped from Sanctuary. Every time I come back with the last one, another one's been taken, and most of the time it seems to be my traders whom i've given fancy suits and hats to differentiate them. Got enough turrets to make a battleship feel inadequate.
It really annoys me that, even with my settlements defended better than a max-security prison, they still get raided by super mutants and raiders. That and I'll sometimes return to a settlement only to find that all the turrets need to be repaired or something and aren't functional. What the hell?
Do the institute have any repeatable quests like the other factions?
wait you mean i don't have to keep clearing out college park station?
Do the institute have any repeatable quests like the other factions?
yeah, speak to a few of the director heads. iirc they involve shooting up bos patrols that shouldn't be there and reclaiming lost synths
wait you mean i don't have to keep clearing out college park station?
yeah you do you don't want to disappoint Preston do you?
Who do I have to side with to make Preston stop dumping his RADIANT bullshit into my quest log every time I try to build a gun?
It really annoys me that, even with my settlements defended better than a max-security prison, they still get raided by super mutants and raiders. That and I'll sometimes return to a settlement only to find that all the turrets need to be repaired or something and aren't functional. What the hell?
i think its because the settlers tend to suicide rush the super-mutant (with possibly a mininuke grenade), i have a bunch of turrets around, and even a full fence, with a door, yet they still don't let the turrets do their job
Going into the Pip-Boy and switching from there does it for me
tbh that totally defeats the purpose of having a quick-select function.
I found out something interesting about the radiant quests preston gives you. I already posted in this thread that they automatically fail if you take too long (the ones like "raider troubles at the slog"). However, if you do them but then leave the quest in your log incomplete at the "talk to preston" stage, eventually the quest will complete itself, giving you the experience. I'm not sure what the conditions are, I assume it just takes a lot of time, but I've only had it happen to me once so far, when I borded the prydwen for the first time, probably coincidence. Useful for finishing those quests without getting a new one right away.

Building a better future for the Commonwealth indeed...
Do the institute have any repeatable quests like the other factions?
Usually division heads have stuff going on that need tending to, Usually synth retrievals, and Ayo sometimes asks you if [sp]you could go collect reports from Mayor Mcdonough[/sp]
