so apparently scrounger is broken, lacking half the ammo types and having the rank 4 perk act exactly the same as rank 3 this is really hard to hear because scrounger was one of those "do i really need it?" perks that i had to force myself to choose and now i've wasted four perks
Idk I got scrounger and I have more ammo than I know what to do with. I sell ammo I don't need and buy ammo I do need. It averages itself out. Also put perks into damage to use less ammo. [editline]27th November 2015[/editline]
So what is this mod that people are using to create batshit crazy guns, or is it just console commands?
The ones with like "Double Projectiles" and "Shots do explosion damage"? Those are drops from legendary enemies.
Scrounger and the fact .38 rounds are 1:1 with caps makes the 'find more caps' perk worthless.
The ones with like "Double Projectiles" and "Shots do explosion damage"? Those are drops from legendary enemies.
Nah I mean this stuff.
definitely balanced :v:
Max Scrounger also seems to randomly return ammo to me after fully expending a magazine. Is there any way to force settlement quests? I failed one a long time ago to get a place to join me and now i'm not getting anything for them.
I have level 2 scrounger and haven't had to buy ammo ever again since getting level 1. Already have almost a hundred 50cal rounds and nothing that even uses them yet.
Scrounger and the fact .38 rounds are 1:1 with caps makes the 'find more caps' perk worthless.
I actually just made a automatic pipe pistol simply to used 38s on lower enemies. Great hipfire and DPS. [editline]28th November 2015[/editline]
I have level 2 scrounger and haven't had to buy ammo ever again since getting level 1. Wish you could make an automatic 50cal. I use 50cal for currency, same for most chems and stimpaks. I have fucking 500 stimpaks and use maybe 1-2 per hour.
You know, the institute weapons are actually great early on. When you're on that mission to go fetch signal equipment from that facility you can find tons of them from the attacking synths. The auto pistol can be made both quite powerful and accurate with a relatively small amount of materials, it's a good anti-wildlife solution and can quickly shred light armored raiders.
Holy shit, a radstorm just happened during the night while I had darker nights turned on, its the eeriest shit ever. I wish I could get a picture but it probably would look like ass without my reshade preset.
You know, the institute weapons are actually great early on. For some reason I can never find any plasma cartridges, so I barely ever use plasma guns, and I haven't really found any great legendary weapons, so I have no other option unless I want to go out searching for a gauss rifle or something.

With the in-depth crafting system, it's odd they don't let you craft ammo. Even being able to break down ammo types you don't use into others you do would be really useful.
Talking about the mysterious stranger, I was fighting a legendary super mutant, and he appeared. Instead of shooting he fucking reloaded for some reason and then disappeared. It was the biggest disappointment I have faced in the game.
For me he has no hat and looks like a pudgy balding middle aged businessman. Lost my shit when he showed up.
I'm pretty disappointed about the lack of clothing that can fit under armor. Call me skeptical but I think it's because Bethesda didn't want to make a bunch of resized armor pieces or remodel clothes to fit under the armor. I'll be glad for when the modding community makes more custom clothes and models that aren't nude females or underwear. It's really hard to make good combinations right now as it stands but I think I found an outfit I like. Anybody else feel the same? [t]http://i.imgur.com/eoXeBQe.png[/t]

Ahaha, I was walking around with Curie and one of the diamond city guards said I must be "Wicked smaht"
I'm now level 70 and been leveling up my non-automatic pistol skill. My Kellog Pistol is like a railgun against even supermutants. I'm a high luck character, and I have full crit perks so I can store up to 3 and each one does 2.5x damage. So when I crit I do like 500damage, and since crits always hit I can do massive crits to the head no matter the accuracy. It's cool.
As promised: I'm starting to think it's tied to the settlement somehow. At the place in the video, I could get MK 1, 3, 5, and 7. At the Castle, I could only get MK 1, 3, and 5. At Hangman's Alley, I could only get MK 1 and 3.
Anybody ever try to skip dialogue and accidentally end up punching/shooting/killing the person instead?
I've seen different factions/creatures fight other ones, but I haven't seen them fight each other before. [t]http://i.imgur.com/v4TJXHj.jpg[/t] Is this a Deathclaw exclusive thing?
Anybody ever try to skip dialogue and accidentally end up punching/shooting/killing the person instead?
Only time it works is when your reticle is gone. Once it's gone, you can click to skip the dialogue, if the game lets you. Sometimes it won't.
I just realized, I'm level 33 and haven't put a single perk into boosting weapon damage. I guess that's why everything's been turning into bullet sponges.
I just realized, I'm level 33 and haven't put a single perk into boosting weapon damage. I guess that's why everything's been turning into bullet sponges.
I had the same problem. All the enemies took forever to kill until I eventually took 4 ranks of gunslinger around level 30 or so. There's just so many skills that I want to take.
So I think the pipe revolver is my new favorite weapon so far. It's got good damage, decent range and great accuracy, and it just feels good to use. I dunno why, it just does. Have mine kitted out as a midrange revolver rifle with the marksman stock and reflex sight. Does anyone know if the rifleman perk synergizes with it? I sure hope it does.
Oh how I wish stats (important ones, at that) weren't tied to aesthetics. I look like a stormtrooper reject in my white heavy combat armor. I'd really love it if the naming system and preview model didn't mean there's literally no way to tell what "grade" a piece of armor is (any mod's naming overrides Sturdy/Heavy) unless you equip it.

It doesn't cost anything to downgrade - the only exception being synth pieces, as they don't have a "no mod" section. Doing that also keeps your locker a little more organized, instead of having 4 boiled leather chest, 2 studded leather chest, and 6 leather chest, you'll just have 12 leather chest. Plus, by taking the mods off, you can use them for other pieces that you might not be able to regularly build because of perks. I can't build polymer for heavy combat pieces, since I don't have Armourer 4, but I can take a polymer mod from the many regular combat pieces I've found, and slap it on. It is really annoying that unless you're paying attention to the actual stats you can't tell what grade it is, but this at least provides a temporary solution.

Animals do this in nature all the time to prove who is the strongest of the pack
First time I used Pipe weapons, I never used it because it's weak.
First time I used Pipe weapons, I never used it because it's weak.
I felt the same way until I got a pipe assault rifle. Then I didn't use anything else for a while.
Pipe SMG is a great way to take out lower enemies and use up otherwise useless ammo.
