First time I used Pipe weapons, I never used it because it's weak.
They're extremely customizable though, that's their big strength. You can also find ones with mods everywhere, strip the mods off and put together your ideal weapon without ever actually building parts.
I kinda wish all weapons were like that. Start with a raw frame of a given type (pistol, revolver, rifle, heavy, etc) and build it up to be something more specific. Take a launcher frame and make it into a fatman, a missile launcher, a tesla cannon, you name it.
We're they both alpha death claws? I had this happen to me before and I assumed it was natural. Animals do this in nature all the time to prove who is the strongest of the pack
Nope, just regular Deathclaws. It was pretty interesting to watch; I thought they were going to fight to the death, but one of them actually fled when he had really low health.
Oh how I wish stats (important ones, at that) weren't tied to aesthetics. I look like a stormtrooper reject in my white heavy combat armor.
I'd really love it if the naming system and preview model didn't mean there's literally no way to tell what "grade" a piece of armor is (any mod's naming overrides Sturdy/Heavy) unless you equip it.
I actually wish more aesthetics were tied to mods.
I want my pouch'd out gear to look like a Rob Liefeld reject.
Does the mysterious stranger never appear while in power armor? I have the perk at rank 3 and I swear he hasn't showed up even after like 60 attempts in VATS.
fuck
I returned back to [sp]the railroad after getting into the institute[/sp], and while I was talking to desdemona I tried to skip and accidentally shot tinker tom in the head and killed him

He does. Since it's a chance, each vats is rerolling it.

[sp]You can talk to her and tell her the institute told you to kill her. But of course that goes fucking no where[/sp]
Anybody ever try to skip dialogue and accidentally end up punching/shooting/killing the person instead?
This is why I use the arrow keys.
I've been using VATS significantly less in FO4 than FO3 or NV, sadly. Even on a good day with a rapid-fire weapon I rarely get to fire it more than twice.

Uhh... Does the MIRV upgrade on the fatman basically turn it into the experimental MIRV from FO3?

I gave MacCready an armored black vest because he likes thinking he's Han Solo so much.
I hope someone mods back in the chinese pistol down the line.
Aahahhaha the plasma thrower is the most overpowered weapon I've ever seen, I was bored so I just ran around the prydwen holding M1 and killed absolutely everything
Look at this idiot, I stole all of his clothes, and now he's just running around in his underwear. That's what you get for being a fucking asshole, Preston
Im like level 33 and still use an institute rifle (albeit heavily upgraded), they're supposed to be plastic pieces of shit but tbh for me, theyre the best option available because fusion cells are widely available and easy to find, and do a decent amount of damage for what they are.
but you could literally just get a laser rifle and it would beat the institute one with fewer upgrades
So I did the railroads secret quest with danse and we were both in power armor and they threaten you with a minimum and a 10mm pistol... I wish there was a dialogue option for power armor "ya that isn't going to work..." Or something, Its kind of funny and sad that every time I go into some place they think they can easily kill me because they have the big gun...

Idk but there is already a variant of the Fatman that shoots more than one projectile, so mirved with that would be insane
Uhh... Does the MIRV upgrade on the fatman basically turn it into the experimental MIRV from FO3?
It turns it into a cluster bomb mini-nuke launcher, as opposed to a shotgun of mini-nukes. It only takes 1 ammo to fire and it splits into I think 7 after a short delay. The effective range is kinda shit because after the split, all of the mini-nukes head roughly straight down. But, I mean, it's 7 mini-nukes in 1 shot, for the price of 1.
At some point Arturo in Diamond City will start selling a unique Fatman called Big Boy, which is just a Fatman that has the "Fires a second projectile" legendary upgrade. Of course, with this and the MIRV mod, you get 14 mini-nukes per shot.

Can confirm
I found a mod that separates the bomber jacket from the shitty BOS fatigues.

I'm waiting on the modding tools to be released before messing with mods.
Anyone else just cant find any clothing they like?
Already said before, unless the game gets workshop support, modding is going to suck as long as patches are being released.
It's not possible to completely disable automatic updates in Steam anymore. You have to set it to update only on launch and then play it in offline mode, or set update hours to a point of the day Steam is closed.

It's weird to install but here. It's good stuff.
I think I figured out how to make Preston stop giving radiant quests:
setpqv 67FF9 PrestonGiveRecruitmentQuest False
It seemed to stop him from giving both the quests for finding new settlements and for killing nearby enemies for acquired settlements. I tested it while using the weapons workbench in Sanctuary and directly talking to him with none of his other quests in my quest log.
Every time you come to talk to Preston, you talk about something shitty that happened in a sobbing voice, but then Preston does sudden change of the subject and goes "I need you to help this settlement", with a commanding voice.
Give me a choice Bethesda!

Okay, are any items that are tagged for search Highlighted for any of you in the world?
Not in my save, but in my brother's save.
If he tags certain Junk materials for search, then any Junk items (that consist of the tagged materials) in the world will have the Workshop-style yellow highlight over them.

It's part of the Scrapper perk.
i have so many stimpacks that I'll just use one when I'm standing right next to a bed with 90% of my health full just so I have a reason to use them

Oh, must be the rank two then.
One thing about Fallout 4, I think voice acting is a nice change of sort, but in the long run it hurts the game so much, it would have been way better to have dialogues which are more text based but with occasional voices, more like templates for certain keywords, or like nods or have your character say hello or bye, maybe voiced keywords or important sentences to say, something to give players a notion about you character having a voice and such and leave the rest to your imagination. I'd take well written dialogues over voiced ones any day any time. Now seeing how the game is really flat when it comes to dialogues it also discourages any mods in the future that could add quests or unique npcs because they would need to be voiced, unless there are hardcore players who wouldn't mind. This topic was discussed already. It Feels like a wasted effort to voice act such a poor script on their part, plus nothing you pick in these dialogues makes you question anything, it's just a binary choice system where everything leads to yes because you must progress one way and no other and it's super mmorpg oriented. I really enjoy the direction the game went, improving on gameplay weaknesses from previous Bethesda releases but at the same time, the entire rpg experience suffered greatly. The game itself makes me question what Bethesda tried to achieve with Fallout 4, after many hours of the game I've played and having explored majority of the map, it feels very lacklustre. I hope the game somehow improves in the future with dlcs and such.
