I'm almost impressed that Takahashi has one line in the entire game, and somehow they still managed to get his subtitles wrong.
Somehow only just noticed this on my second playthrough

The Brotherhood fields only the finest rectums
Mirelurks are literally the most boring thing to fight in this game.
They're probably the one enemy that the new weapon handling doesn't improve fighting it, fights wine mirelurks always devolve into running backwards while shooting the fuckers

Mirelurks are the only reason why I hoard all the mines I find, because then I just lay down a field and bait them into the field and watch them explode.
So, apparently radiation is doing horrible things to people in fallout. Poor Rowdy.

how do you get hancock as a companion?

Aim for the legs with whatever can cripple quickest then just aim for the face. Once the legs are crippled they can't fully bob down to cover their face.

Quite a few quests down the line. I think its something to do with Sinjinn or whatever his name is?

Only quest I did was for that Bobbi no nose in Goodneigbour. At the end of it and going against Bobbi, I was told to speak to Hancock who then asked if he could travel with me.
It will be a long time before I get myself FO4 but I'd like to know something.
I play FO games for the quests, exploration and if the story is good for the plot, too. I'm not a fan of the RPG gun gameplay since FO3. Sure, there's VATS that fires for you like in older games but when you can aim yourself I prefer some of the RPG elements removed. That's why I used the console to eliminate couple of levelling issues before.
I haven't tried FO4 yet so maybe they changed the gameplay to suit me more but is the console still capable of changing skill points, XP and adding items?
yup
Just had Mysterious Stranger teleport on top of an injured dog, aim at it for a bit, reloading and then dissapearing again.
:what:

And so my quest to get the necessary perks to upgrade this thing begins.
Also I renamed it
Does anyone know if using console commands disables achievements like in New Vegas? I'm not cheating or anything I was just messing around with the player height scale

Nope
Good news everyone! Diamond City security troops are no longer hostile towards me!
If, on the contrary of them holding a permanent grudge against me, it would be funny to return to Diamond City a few years later, and then the guy I shot goes:"Hey, that's the guy that shot me 7 years ago! Get that fucking wanker!" and the whole shebang starts all over again.
So I have to keep my web browser open in the background so fo4 can run faster, I'm not shitting you, it just works! :v:
So I found an explosive combat shotgun, which is definitely up there on the list of brokenly overpowered guns.

I tried shooting it under myself to see how much damage it would do. It fucking instakilled me from full health whilst I was in X-01 MK V power armor.

This thing is insane, it oneshots almost anything not too far away.

Remember, this is what happens to all of your your main player characters on the inside when you enter the Power Armor.
Stretchitis is a serious medical condition, you stretch to abnormal proportions.
I think it would be fun if Fallout 4 had system like Shadow of Mordor where you defeat some legendaries or Raider/Mutant bosses and then they would return more fucked up each time to get vengeance on you.

I granted myself an explosive gun through console. Or rather, the weapon mod.
Doing it was harder than I previously thought, or.. as previously instructed by some FP users.
(Oh no, it certainly wasn't as simple as targeting a dropped weapon in console, then "attachmod/amod <id>" because some weapons can't be targeted in console, so I had to use like "playergrabbedref" to dig up the unique ID of the weapon, then do the attachmod <id> through some other command, and fucking finally, I got an explosive 10mm.)
Anybody ever try to skip dialogue and accidentally end up punching/shooting/killing the person instead?
On my blind playthrough I accidentally stabbed Carla to death while trying to buy things.

Th- this power armor! It was made for me!
I just spent 15 minutes goofing around in Vault 75 trying to figure out where to go.
Then I ended up noclipping through doors because I couldn't find the fucking ID's anywhere.
Then when I decide to leave, it activates a quest called Vault 75.
Bethesda™
also I'm using this skin. I tried to remove the swastikas and replace them with a generic fascist symbol but I couldn't figure out the .dds option upon saving, so I'm just roling with the nazism.

eh, I like them
they force you to have explosives early on, or use way too many bullets
They also don't look fuck retarded like the ones in the old games :V
They make even the shitty explosive weapons useful, and makes it so you actually carry grenades. In fo3/nv grenades were useless (way too annoying to use), I never bothered with them without the grenade throwing hotkey mod.
So this has probably been posted before, but it gave me a good chuckle when I realised what it was:

I really love the detail and little easter eggs that are around the world, it really does seem like the level designers had a field day making the game.
I'm really saddened by the lack of content in the game, I'm already putting it down completely after 120 hours. (30-40 hours spent on getting the last achievements, mind you)
The overly dumbed down RPG gameplay elements don't help at all.
I feel like Bethesda spent their resources in completely wrong areas, the voiced protagonist and settlements being prime examples.
It's at a point where I feel like they added those "easter eggs" around the world just to give the illusion of content. (Talking about those Teddy Bears reading the journal while sitting on the toilet, and so on...)
At least, it's their least bugged game release ever.
Not that I didn't enjoy it at all, in fact, I was totally enthralled for the first 60 hours or so, before[sp]entering the Institute and meeting Father.[/sp](MQ Spoilers)
The main quest had so much potential, but it fell short. It feels like it could have been much, much more.
Heck, even vanilla Skyrim held up for nearly 300 hours, personally. And I keep fond memories of it, even though it did have glaring issues.
I really hope the DLC adds a metric fuckton of content because the game needs it. Gonna stay tuned but I won't buy the Season Pass right now.
Guess I'll just have to grab Fallout 1 or something to pass the time.
oh and Survival is the biggest joke ever.

I'm not really sure why a voiced protagonist would have used much resources, voice acting didn't stop Obsidian from having NPCs dump entire textbooks on you (Ceasar, Ulysses).
I would estimate that a huge amount of effort went into the combat and graphics, and considering Fallout 3, it was sorely needed.
So I just woke up after like, 3 weeks of downloading Fallout 4 (my internet is aids) to find that it has 10 minutes left before it finishes even though it was supposed to get done a bit before I woke up. I also just before waking up had a dream that it was shitty and rainy outside and a car was pulling into my driveway. I wake up, go outside, and lo and behold not only did it look shitty and rainy just as I imagined it, but my dad was pulling into the driveway as well.
Really fucking weird morning. :tinfoil:
Unfortunately it seems to be a recurring theme with Bethesda and their games having lost potential. I still enjoyed myself though (and still am), and I thought this game was a clear step up from FO3.
I honestly can't wait for the updated NifSkope so that the models can be exported out and edited, some of the texture issues in the game can be fixed just by rescaling uvw maps or fitting new textures in place. In fact if you edit one texture now, it will affect many models since they share one texture due to performance optimization or simply because it was faster to do, like in Sanctuary where your workshop is, if you look at the concrete where power armour typically stands, it's basically a wall texture applied to the ground and it tiles really badly on the ground itself, this has been bothering me so much.
