Are there things that were shown long ago that aren't in the release?

ubisoft lied to us all
cancelling my pre-order
Ubisoft needs to take a page out of Call of Duty's book and make super high quality dogs with each individual hair animated.
Then no one would complain about the graphics.

I looked around earlier after someone else was saying that there was but I couldn't find any.
Except for certain animations and NPC interactions that were pretty clearly scripted.
No dogs, but I found a talking moose head that tells anecdotes if you hack it. I forgot to check the exact location, though. All I can tell is that it's in a garage near some gas station in countryside.

That reminds me, there's singing fish also.
They swear a lot.

Shame there isn't much to do outside of missions, that makes or breaks open world games for me imo. A well paced campaign that gives you plenty of break points to just do side stuff for a while is ideal. Is the campaign pretty good at least? And the multiplayer sounds fun enough by itself to make non mission play good. Same with the digital trips and etc.

For anyone wondering: -disablepagefilecheck is an engine option to force the game not to use virtual memory (i.e. write stuff to your harddrive when your RAM is full).
Are you 100% sure this isn't placebo? What's your HDD usage like with and without?

Haven't done much of the campaign myself, however I've heard conflicting opinions on whether it's actually good or not so I'm presuming it's average.
I've played for quite a few hours already and I'm not even out of Act 1 yet.
I've been traveling the city activating towers and stealing money/music from people while going on any side mission that pops up while hacking people.

I haven't had a desire to much of anything besides free roam at this point.
I blame Watch_Dogs for this:

Without it I stutter like crazy on ultra, with it I can run Ultra everything + TXAA x4 no problem @ 40FPS.
So cops where chasing me, i went to the train station, got aboard a train, hacked it to move, and... a cop car just went through the whole train, killing almost everybody on board and pushing me to the back of the train.

There all dead.
Yay bugs
"High Powered" ... You're damn right! Just drove through a fucking train.

Found it. Right here, northwest corner of the map.
Does anyone remember this?

I know the game doesn't hide the fact that it was influenced by that show, but still it's uncanny how similar those concepts are.
Been out of town a few days, I guess the game got leaked? Why do some people say it's bad?
people with bad rigs who can't run ultra complaining that it looks bad

Just look at this.
Just moved the game to my SSD and doubled my fps

More like direct copy
I wish you would stumble upon crimes organically like they originally said you would, like just randomly profiling people down the street until one shows up as a predicted victim, unlike the "press X to mark a crime in progress on the minimap" we have now
Nothing wrong with the latter system but I would much prefer the former
And I'm aware random street crimes do happen as well
-snip-
Trains are goddamn OP when it comes to evading cops. When you got lv5 heat on your ass they become close to impossible to dodge without the helicopter disable and train hack. I can't even get out of my car and start chucking nades coz it will damage my reputation.
On Act 4 now. The story is pretty good so far. The missions force a healthy amount of stealth, assault and improvise. Some times you don't even get to pick your style. They also love forcing you to take down targets only, no killing. I never used the Focus because I kept forgetting, so I did die a plenty of times due to how flimsy Aiden is. Overall the gameplay is pretty dang solid. Got bored of all the repetitive side quests after 10 hours of on/off. Now I'm just rushing through the main story since I already got the best guns and cars.
gunplay would be fine if the mouse controls weren't so fucked

You can turn off acceleration and whatnot manually.
Well this game is for sure weird with vsync, if i leave it on it caps my FPS at 30 and feels sluggish, if i turn it off it runs smooth but after arround 10 minutes it just freeze, i can still use menus and shit but the rest just freezes....
Heh, I just found out you don't need to get in a car to play a song, just hit N or use smartphone's Media App.

Though it's not a console port, i feel like it plays much better with a wired controller. I guess i'm just more used to that though.
