the rain in this game is so good i wish it rained all the time
the rain in this game is so good i wish it rained all the time
Should have been set in Seattle
I think I saw someone ask if water will still pool during a rainstorm, and yes it does.
Paid for my copy, now to come back in 12ish hours and pick it up!
Should have been set in Seattle
Britain.
I can't believe how bad I want to record playing this game.
I would want to record this but the way it demands is quite frighting. However. i5 3470 16GB ram and a evga 750 TI SC and im powering this game at high with TXAAx2 at 30-50 FPS. it looks good too
I'm not a huge fan of TXAA, it seems to blur textures/small details. MSAA is perfectly acceptable, and doesn't do that. pretty good demo of that:
Any idea if the game will be able to be pre-loaded tomorrow?

i don't like how the big bridges blink when you are close enough to control them [editline]25th May 2014[/editline] it ruins the artstyle
yeah you are using two web browsers
I use 2 browsers all the time...
i don't like how the big bridges blink when you are close enough to control them [editline]25th May 2014[/editline] it ruins the artstyle
I really want some sort of alternative UI layout system or something.
You know what bothers me? The cutscenes look amazing but everything else looks like crap even on high/ultra settings: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/71300804/fraps/watch_dogs%202014-05-25%2022-01-26-19.jpg[/t] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/71300804/fraps/watch_dogs%202014-05-26%2000-36-28-67.jpg[/t] I mean look at the gorgeous lighting.
well yeah it's a cutscene, what did you expect? shit's all pre-rendered.
pictured, a game that is legitimately fun
i was joke [editline]26th May 2014[/editline]
well yeah it's a cutscene, what did you expect? shit's all pre-rendered.
idk why you come to a thread to talk about a game you dont even have the cutscenes are in engine
i was worried about it being shit but after getting an hour or so of screwing around and doing a couple missions i'm not worried at all, plus i haven't even tried multiplayer yet
I re-installed Sleeping Dogs and have been playing that all day today and probably tomorrow too just to take my mind off this...
You know, if this leak hadn't happen, I might have been more upset about no preload
You know, if this leak hadn't happened, this back and forth bullshit wouldn't be going on days before release.
You know, if this leak hadn't happened, this back and forth bullshit wouldn't be going on days before release.
Instead it would be going on after.
Instead it would be going on after.
Day 1 patch would've probably instituted fixes for stuff people have been complaining about early. I also can't go on /v/ now because I have to avoid spoilers.
Day one patch or no, there will always be complainers
Day one patch or no, there will always be complainers
Wouldn't less be better though
I find that TXAA blurring of details for motion to be nice on trees and foliage in this game.
you would like SMAA , it don't blur (btw even FXAA blurs)
Okay, so. I haven't decided whether to buy this yet. I don't care about graphics. I don't really care about driving physics and gunplay. Is it immersive? Does it have that dark, noir kinda atmosphere? How often does it rain? (I'm serious.) Will I be tailed by corporate spooks, get to hack car alarms, and then duck into an alleyway while they're distracted? Stuff like that.
Only the cutscenes feel dark.. And I can't recall any rain at all.
I just traded a bunch of tf2, dota, and csgo junk for the deluxe edition aww yeah
Wouldn't less be better though
Probably a lot less, people are acting like this is what the game is going to be on release. They haven't even tried MP or gotten the day 1 patch, so..
Like the movement, hate the driving. Like the graphics, like the shooting, and like the hacking. Everything seems to flow from one thing to another quite nicely (at least in terms of hacking). I like the car accidents even though some physics is crazy, they look cool, but really wish they had it be more Euphoria-like. Like the radio music (and how you don't need to be in a vehicle). Like the gun mechanics, but don't like how the bullet damage works (some criminal took like 5 shots in the chest). I didn't explore much with the AI but from what I've seen civilian drivers are HORRIBLE and I may even go as far as to say on par or worse then GTA IV drivers. I haven't had much experience with the police but they seem competent. Finally, I like the crafting and finding materials throughout the map. Overall I like the game a ton and can definitely sink plenty of hours into it. Note: This is OBVIOUSLY my opinions and only after the first few missions (I just found of who Badboy17 was). [editline]26th May 2014[/editline] Oh also, I like the vehicle models but I feel like super cars are way to common, it doesn't really feel like an achievement when you find one.

I think the leaked version might be the beta. The reason why is pretty much because of this (image not mine): http://i.imgur.com/rX9RE7n.png Doubting it though.
