that's just UI greebles
no meaning whether to beta or not

who knows
i doubt the game has changed much from whatever the leak is. there's nothing really obvious bug wise other than flimsy AI and performance issues. my own opinion is that the singleplayer is bland as fuck and I still have no ambition to purchase it until decent multiplayer is confirmed

no it's definitely beta dont you know anything
I tried the mouse acceleration fix and there's still a half-second of input lag. What am I missing, here.
I just traded a bunch of tf2, dota, and csgo junk for the deluxe edition aww yeah
I'm trying to do the same, put a trade up on one site and hoping someone bites. I've got an unusual listed even.
Although I am tempted to just buy it myself, since I'm in the process of selling my rarely used Nexus 7.

That mouse acceleration "fix" does absolutley nothing for me. I think it's just a placebo thing like changing custom quality settings from "console" to "pc". Maybe I'm just being a bitch but the negative mouse acceleration is really keeping me from enjoying the game. If you move the mouse fast it actually makes you turn a lot less....forcing me to move the mouse around at constant slow speed all the time.
So should I get the PC version? I'm not too sure how well I'll run it so I might just get the PS4 version. Here's my system requirements lab analysis:

I'd imagine you'd be fine if you perhaps lowered the shading a bit.
I'm normally against it but maybe I should test it out with the leaked copy just to be safe
So, I got a small question to the people who have played the game so far. Can you actually fool the cops into thinking you're surrendering? I remember seeing that in the trailer and I think it'd be really cool to make them think that, then neutralize them when they don't expect it at all.

I haven't played it, but my experience in game development tells me that that demonstration showed off a scripted event with an animation developed specifically for that demonstration and nothing else. It was supposed to be a wow factor.
Something like that in game could easily be abused by players and I think it would be hard to balance when and where it would be appropriate to be allowed to be used.
Kind of the same idea with Army of Two where there were only certain areas or situations where players were allowed to go back to back.
So, yep. My 3570k is bottlenecking my GPU even though its at 4.2 ghz. Hardly any difference on medium-high*. This is so strange.
I call bad optimization.
I call bad optimization.
It appears to be very hit and miss that's for sure.
I haven't had too many issues myself with it on Ultra / High, a few others I know also haven't had too much issue with it.
Seems a bit like luck at this point.

specs:
Intel Core i5 3570K
AMD Radeon HD 7870 OC
16 GB DDR3 RAM
I get solid 60fps on medium, while on ultra I get 30 fps with signifcant drops. Yeah, sorry. Not reasonable.
edit: Let me rephrase that. You can notice the differences but I don't get how that is supposed to affect the fps in that big way.
I pre ordered on Greenmangaming, Does anyone know when they will send out the keys?

That effectively proves how much of a hit and miss the optimization is. We have the same CPU's and I have a 780 while you have a 7870. You're able to hit 60 continuously while I'm not on medium.
They've said repeatedly that you'd need something along the lines of a 780 to run ultra smoothly, while that's occasionally not the case you can't call the game unoptimised if you're running a 7870. They have been saying this for ages, prior to the leak. I'm running a 780 and 4770k and get a solid 60FPS and it drops to about 45-50 when driving, still extremely playable, only issues being some occasional screen tearing.
I'm not even getting constant 40 fps with my 780.

I've got a 660ti and a stock 3570K and I get almost constant 60 fps all on high except shadows which are on ultra.
I've seen a few people running higher specs than mine and having some issues, whether it's specifically the game or not for them I don't know, but it seems rather picky.

I changed the settings file to render the game at 1680x1050 instead of the default 720p and now I get about 20fps on foot and 12fps while driving. The game utilizes 30% of my AMD 7870 (and only raises temps about 10c) and my CPU (FX 8320) stays at around 50% usage across all 8 cores.
[editline]26th May 2014[/editline]
Also that's with the game on High, changing to low adds about 4 FPS
Just finished the main story. It's good. The last mission's a complete bitch though, get ready for frame rate drops and a lot of cops.
I would say it will take about average of 15 hours to finish just the campaign? Just my guess, the game did not record play time but I played for 8-10 hours a day for the past 3 days.

Good to hear.
The story will take even longer when you factor in multiplayer hackers and stuff too, should be sweet.

This is bothering the arse out of me. My oc'd 3570 can't give me constant 60 on high. I ran a few GPU, CPU, drive and memory tests to see if it's my pc but it turns out it isn't.
I find the combat the games weakest point. You have all of these cool looking weapons but unless you are totally forced to fight there is no reason to not stealth. Enemies constantly throw grenades and over aggressively flank you and your cover is almost always small and limited. You also die REALLY quickly and sometimes the cover system and the sluggish movements can be the death of you.
Car chases are also either really boring and frustrating since you can't shoot while driving, or over in about 15 seconds if you get a lucky pipe-line or a huge traffic light crash.
My biggest gripe is how contrived some of these are. Having targets be knockout only is the dumbest fucking thing ever. Why do I have to murder 10 bodyguards in a spiral parking garage, but I can't kill the target who is shooting at me? If hes in good cover, have fun getting to him, you'll get gunned down and die before you're in knockout range. Also makes car chases with targets the most god forsaken thing ever. And I am constantly shot through thick cover as well which is frustrating because again, you CANNOT take many bullets.
Just needed to vent that. I've had to restart side missions dozens of times because of retarded fuck ups.

Bulldozer cpus occasionally get fucked hard in terms of game performance. That's why I got myself an i5.
I really should upgrade at some point, I doubt my Phenom II x4 955 @3.2GHz & ATi Radeon HD6850 can run this that well, even on all low/off...

Stealth actually gives NO EXP or reward whatsoever unless you use TAKE DOWN on everyone. And later on it becomes really difficult to go pure stealth without spamming lures and hacks. Sometimes going guns blazing can save a lot of fuck ups, and time. I played a lot of other "stealth" games without going for the killing route, here I would say that stealth is very limited, even though the designers constantly remind you to not kill. Be reminded that you can get shot and killed during the take down animation, unlike deus ex where time freezes. P.S. They also force a lot of gunfights.
I'm not so sure about invasion, I read that you can use comm jammers to halt backdoor. It isn't very difficult to collect enough parts to use 10+ consequentially. Guess we'll have to wait for the game to come out.
The cover system is jizz bad i try to move to another cover get spooted nope cant stop going to thatcover and even when im apotted pierce still moves between covers like he was in stealth mode
The game just arrived. YES!
Need to wait 3 hours to play it because i need to go to school. DAMMIT!
