I'll just format my C drive and hope it helps. I previously had a 280x which might be causing some sort of conflict but I ran driver sweeper multiple times. At this point it's all I can do it seems.
I swear I keep hearing William Devane on the streets.
Bulldozer cpus occasionally get fucked hard in terms of game performance. That's why I got myself an i5.
An 8350 is actually listed as a recommended CPUs, and it appears to be able to use all 8 cores evenly so I doubt that that's the problem. Right now I'm just waiting for AMD to release new GPU drivers which will hopefully fix the issues I'm having
Is there anywhere that lets you preload this before release? I wanted to buy it on Steam but I can't find anything that says that it's going to be up for preload.
My pc runs like a jet engine while playing this game.
This game looks fine why the fuck were you nerds whining holy shit

I'm hoping I can somehow use some of the leak game to speed up the download just in case there is no pre-load. I mean if I just all of the .dlls, .exe's and do a fresh install of Uplay hopefully it'll detect the various .dat files and just get most of it from that and download any of the day 1 stuff.
Fingers crossed.

If you're talking about Steam, it should work, just move the files to where the game would be downloaded through Steam and it should detect it all.
Yeah I've done it before with one or two other games, god bless steam for having a nice and straight forward system. Uplay doesn't even have verify/repair and I don't trust it even remotely to support my hilariously unstable internet, I got it refunded from GMG and re-bought it on steam, an extra £5 but worth the peace of mind.

Because on low settings it actually looks worse than X360/PS3 version. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=113407192&postcount=5870
But on a powerful PC it's whole different story.

And to quote someone "this game looks like ass"
Heh. Nope.
I just think its the people who only played for a little bit and didn't give it a chance. Even with the current "pre-release" mouse lag, stuttering and other weird issues I had huge amounts of fun. The game looked great (at least in my opinion and standards) even not maxed. I really think its people holding the game on this magical pedestal. It was never going to be this game that looked amazing, unless it was only developed for "next gen" systems and PC it will still have to fall back on the 360/ps3 for a base look.

To be honest, the only 2 things I miss from GTA series are deforming cars and somewhat dynamic shadows, not that I really paid any attention to them in GTA 4 or even lack of them in WD.
Rest... I don't care...
Water physics? I spend maybe 98% of game time on land, so I don't really care if my car creates jelly waves of GTA 4. WD's one looks pretty nice anyway.

Destroyable phone booths and sprites on walls after hitting them with cars... Well, you still can run over phone booths, street lamps, signs, bus stops...etc... I don't really care about sprites on walls after hitting them.

The hydrant moment ... I laughed at it... So game doesn't have water particles of hydrants set to colide with other bodies, thus it equals to not being NEXT GEN. Yea, right. Don't care about it either.
I'm having trouble getting past the first loading screen. It looks to what looks like 98% and then it's just stuck there forever.
nvidia 337.88 drivers are out!
Edit: Heres, the link. http://uk.download.nvidia.com/Windows/337.88/337.88-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql.exe
Does anyone know when the game unlocks on Uplay? I pre-ordered mine from Greenmangaming if that matters.

Sadly if I want to use these drivers (while in SLi) I have to deal with two strange issues. Random driver crashes while on desktop and Google Chrome pages turning white randomly also. Pretty annoying issue with the 400-500series from what I have researched if they don't run 314.
Anyone preorder the game or Origin? You can unlock the game 3.5 hours by VPNing to Korea.
and ofcourse, Amd aint got shit. Great.

Yay, same. No improvements whatsoever. If anything it started stuttering more. Get your shit together Nvidia.

Is this not possible on steam?
Is this not possible on steam?
Steam doesn't like you using VPNs, EA doesn't give fucks.

Steam doesn't like you getting games for cheaper prices by using VPNs, that will likely get you banned.
They don't care if you unlock your game earlier. I've done it a couple of times.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification.
I simply bought it from a german key site and could play since 2 days already, why? Also game needs an day one patch badly, I hope they deliver.
Ahh, thanks for the clarification.
So that means we can do it?
How do you VPN anyway?
How do you VPN anyway?
You use a vpn program that fakes your IP
