Well waiting is obviously the wisest choice as you never know if they have changed their policies quietly but yes, from prior experience, you can unlock the game by VPN and play it early.
Pretty sure you have to do it in offline mode though, so no multiplayer before it's released in your region.

It's not shit at all, imo. I was having plenty of fun. However, like most games, it doesn't live up to hype machine.

The multiplayer is done through Uplay anyway right?

Finally finished this main story. The story was great and I never really got tired of the gameplay throughout the entire game. There's a lot of intense moments and I think the game is definitely worth $60 purchase. The city is beautiful, but after around 3 hours of gameplay I get a huge lag-spike that just kills my FPS and forces me to restart my game. I've had multiplayer turned off so once the 27th comes I'm definitely excited to check out that part of the game.

SoftEther VPN has Australia, but it's an unstable connection. 1.5 hours until Korea release, I recommend waiting.

No I mean that Steam re-locks the game if you get online on a profile that shouldn't yet have the game unlocked
Or that's how I remember it working, the last time I did it was with Bioshock Infinite so it's been a while and I could be totally wrong
Origin was saying the game was going to release at midnight.
