why the fuck does steam get to preload and we don't?
the invading stuff looks pretty cool but i hate how the other person instantly dissapears after it's completed, sorta ruins the immersion.
They kind of don't tho.
They're still 'in the city'. One of the videos in this thread showed someone finding and counter hacking the guy that tried hacking him a few minutes prior so the element of a chase is still there even if he escapes
Is anywhere selling Steam keys for this?
Or do you buy a UPlay key and activate it on Steam?
I feel like on of the few people who likes the driving.

Only way to get a steam key is from steam.
Only way to get a steam key is from steam.
There have been (dubious) key resellers offering games for sometimes less than half the price for years now.

Not for Ubisoft games on Steam, because they don't activate on Steam from retail.

I actually kind of like driving, however I would love it being even more closer to GTA IV, as it was perfect for me, amazingly fun. You could feel the weight behind a car, sure they slid a bit too much, but making these hard turns were so satisfacting.
BTW
Just received my key from key shop I bought WD from, downloading right now... 50 more minutes till it finishes.

I saw a video earlier where the guy invading saw the other player dissapear after the mission was completed, he was playing that "tailing" gamemode though
Uplay doesn't believe in preloading because of dumb. [sp]Another layer of annoying DRM perhaps.[/sp]
That's my only explanation.

It was only hard to drive in GTA IV if you didn't know how to use the handbrake. Its different from the other games, but its not hard.
My pre-load on Steam has finished though so I'm ready.

I'm sure the devs had to set up the preloading for steam,
I think its that just noone bothered to do the work required to have a preloading function for uplay.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but what VPN can I use to play the game now? I already have it preloaded on steam but it says the release date is in 10 hours rather than at midnight which is quite annoying.

That's a major feature in distribution services. There is definitely a reason for it.
I'd say it's because they don't want people having access to game files before the street release date.

That's a bit too late for Watch Dogs and most Ubisoft titles anyway, isn't it ?
WD was available on Yarr-network since 23rd of May, that's 4 days before official release date.
So, overall, would people say that TXAA maxed out would be a better choice than MSAA maxed out? The comparison is interesting, I see things I like and dislike about both, but generally speaking it's hard to decide. I have a 780ti and a quad core i7 at 4.0 ghz so running either isn't a problem. Just curious from people with more experience in seeing it in motion rather than just screenshot comparisons.

I've found that Temporal SMAA was actually really good visually and not being huge performance hog on my poor 670.
Haven't noticed any jagged lines in my play... though I'm blind as a mole and I don't have any glasses :( .

MSAA is better if you want a crisp image, TXAA is better if you want excessive blur.
MSAA is better if you want a crisp image, TXAA is better if you want excessive blur.
That was what I was seeing, the higher orders of TXAA seem to blur things a little less, but MSAA always looks much more crisp to me. MS it is then, thanks guys.

Steam gets around this by encrypting them.
Why no one at Uplay is bothering to code this in, I have no idea... it's easy and not a lot of work.
For those of you who haven't gotten the manual download for the latest Nvidia drivers, they're now up on GeForce Experience
Steam gets around this by encrypting them.

If you're gonna use Indian origin to buy the game through proxies, please don't do it. EA increased the price of BF to 60$ which is a lot here only because of people abusing proxies. It's already really painful to be a happy gamer here because of the hardware prices. If you're still gonna go ahead and do it well fuck you. You're harming a lot of people by doing this.
