Finally, Uplay works!
i too finally managed to sign in and activate weird that their login servers are so much more swamped than their download servers - i can download at 11.5mb/s
you can spend hours playing the digital trips. i'm only like 3 hours into the game though so maybe it just hasn't gotten repetitive for me
Spider Tank GOTY
I never dropped below 50 FPS at any time, and I only disconnected from multiplayer once.
Have you played the leak to compare it? The leak runs relatively smooth up until you get in to a vehicle and then it just turns in to a slideshow
Add me on uplay, we'll bang okay? CaptanFunny
To be fair though I beat Spider Tank on my 3rd playthrough, and I didn't even finish leveling up completely
People on the PS4: Can you connect to games manually? i can always connect to them when they pop up but not when i'm searching for them via the phone :( it just keeps "searching for game session"
Are there any important tweaks I should know before I start playing the game?
Is it $48 worth it?
Ringo_Mandingo on PC if anyone wants to coop or freeroam
Alright, we can give it a try even though we live pretty far away. Also if someone else wanna wants to join hit me up. Bucketboy93
Why are people complaining about this fucking game? Just because it's not "ultra-l337" next-gen doesn't mean it's bad and anything short of fucking fun and a good experience. It really gets on my nerves when people have to diss a game for no reason other than the fact it wasn't EVERYTHING they expected, (GTA V, Skyrim, MGS: V)
I really love the gun sounds in this. Especially for the D50 (deagle), feels like I'm firing a goddamn howitzer.
I really love the gun sounds in this. Especially for the D50 (deagle), feels like I'm firing a goddamn howitzer.
guns feel even better to use in focus mode
Is it $48 worth it?
I'm just looking at the store page and the main complaint is both uplay being overloaded (which may be fixed now) and the game being a stuttery mess honestly the game is a little better than I was thinking it would be (and if you've followed this thread then you know all I did was talk shit about how bad it was going to be) but it's the PERFECT example of an ambitious title that just doesn't really excel at anything is it fun, though? yeah. is it worth the price tag? I'd say it's worth thirty bucks or so. It's the perfect kind of title that you'll pick up, play and never touch again because literally two hours in, you see everything the game has to offer • There's only like four-five ways to take out pursuers/people you are chasing in automobiles and they're all identical • every potential crime is the same • they give you side-objectives that grant EXP/skill points/money like car missions, gang bases and taking out VIP escorts but every mission is exactly the same except for the car ones (one mission will be to chase someone, the other is to get from point A to point B in a set time limit) • there's digital trips like the spider robot but once you play it you've experienced it and there's no reason to ever go back and play it again • shooting mechanics and driving mechanics are THERE but they're so halfassed and questionable it's a wonder how the game was even released the way that it is. any vehicle you enter suddenly turns in to a demigod freight train. I got in a little mini cooper looking thing and flipped over a full size van by tapping in to it. The shooting portions are abysmal. You drop in one-two hits and all of the enemies have amazing accuracy. The cover system is really shoddy and in order to move to cover you have to look at it and hit the move-to button, but it always puts you on the side of cover that isn't even protecting you so you always end up on the wrong side and take whole magazine to the side I could go on and make a ten post long bullet list of things it TRIES to do but doesn't excel at. They give you the illusion that there's a lot to do but once you do one of each activity, you'll realize the second time around that it's the SAME exact thing in a different location. Which normally isn't a bad thing, but in this case it's irritating. I can beat up people all day in batman arkham city, but as soon as I get in to a gunfight in this I have to groan Oh, also, stealth is useless because you don't get rewarded anything. You might as well go on a killing spree and take out everyone in your wake [editline]27th May 2014[/editline]
Why are people complaining about this fucking game?
I really love the gun sounds in this. Especially for the D50 (deagle), feels like I'm firing a goddamn howitzer.
I haven't fired the deagle, but most of the guns I've heard sound awful, the AK-47 and 1911 Spec Ops both come to mind. They sound nothing like actual guns and feel extremely weak when you fire them, but I'm pretty picky about gun sounds in games and most games fail with it anyways so it's not a huge deal.

I'm kind of disappointed by the selection in general. I feel like they just copied assets from tom clancy games because there's so many signature weapons that are such a boring cliche; the goblin, ACR, P2000 just to name a few They give you a lot of variety of weapons but they don't give you anything unique. Why can't we get NORMAL guns that you'd find on the street like a p99 or normal non-hollywood AR15s? They try to make the current too future warrior
So do we have a compiled list of PC fixes? Like the console/pc edit and all that? Or at least a summary of the important stuff? Or is the final build fixed from all that?

Is the Online Free Roam better than GTAO? Can't have any fun in that game, no matter what you do you got people staking you just to kill you, then kill you when you respawn. And Passive mode is a lot of shit compared to how the previous game did Friendly Fire.
And within 3 hours of playing, I already had the best weapons of each category.
it took you that long???
so i cant start my game i press play, it syncs save games (hint i have none because it wont start) then it makes my computer stutter for like 30 seconds for no reason the little watch dogs splash image shows up and stays for a bit a small black window pops up and instantly closes uplay is a smug fuck and tells me "THANK YOU FOR PLAYING WATCH DOGS"
This game is really badly optimized. Even with the AMD beta 14.6 drivers I can't get a solid 60fps (on low) with a 280x which is just silly. When the game is limited to 30fps though I can run it on high at 1080p and honestly that's good enough for me. Normally I like 60 but seeing this'll be fine, at least it's a rock solid 30 compared to GTA V on the 360 being 20-30. Now that I've got all the settings the way I like them, the game is really good! Not played any of the multiplayer yet but the world of watch underscore dogs is full of life and fun to roam around in. The story isn't looking great though (not a huge part of an open world game for me though). Looking forward to playing more, so far it's definitely worth the £27 I payed for it. :v:

How many players is free roam?
My god, I'm loving my PS4 and PSN+ and all, but what is with Sony's genius ideas to always take PSN Store/Network down on every single major release Tuesday?
IMO the game is OK, but not something I'd buy for full price. I'd wait for lower prices or get it from a cheap site.

[editline]27th May 2014[/editline] I tried using the drive thru but they refused service once I got there.
