Can someone explain these "City Hotspots" to me? What's the deal with becoming the mayor and all of that jazz?
Free roam is such a fucking disappointment. None of the phone games or digital trips are multiplayer, you can't play poker or anything, etc. You don't even share the same wanted levels as the dude in your car.
Can someone explain these "City Hotspots" to me? What's the deal with becoming the mayor and all of that jazz?
it's just some shitty social networking jazz. I guess the way it works is that if you want to be mayor of a certain hotspot you have to leave "gifts," aka monetary denominations. The person that leaves the most becomes mayor as far as I know Seeing as acquiring money is no problem in this game and you can easily acquire 10k+ in just a couple of minutes with the profiler app you should just keep leaving gifts in a certain hotspot
Looks like this game doesn't like Dxtory. I need something to cap my game FPS at 60 that isn't V-Sync or else my GPU will overheat every time I play. Anyone here had any luck with another program that lets you manually set the desired max FPS for a game? I've been using Dxtory for every single one of my games, Watch Dogs is the first one that crashes on launch if I use the program. Not surprised, honestly.
Riva Tuner (I think? the one with the on screen display stuff) on the off chance you'll actually see this post
The gunshots in this and even the guns themselves are highly forgettable. I'm kind of disappointed by the selection in general. I feel like they just copied assets from tom clancy games because there's so many signature weapons that are such a boring cliche; the goblin, ACR, P2000 just to name a few They give you a lot of variety of weapons but they don't give you anything unique. Why can't we get NORMAL guns that you'd find on the street like a p99 or normal non-hollywood AR15s? They try to make the current too future warrior
That's probably because half the assets were outright copied from Far Cry 3 and the Tom Clancy games.
That's probably because half the assets were outright copied from Far Cry 3 and the Tom Clancy games.
not surprising
Also did anyone else notice how they entirely cut the mission where you kill Joseph Demarco and the weapons we saw in it?
massive studdering after playing for more than 30 seconds. I have a I5 3570K 8GB of ram, and a 670. wonder if restarting will fix it or something.
Also did anyone else notice how they entirely cut the mission where you kill Joseph Demarco and the weapons we saw in it?
You've never heard of tech demos? I've seen it before, where a company shows off game play, and the mission or area was just made to show features off. That doesn't mean it's going to be in the final product.
Also did anyone else notice how they entirely cut the mission where you kill Joseph Demarco and the weapons we saw in it?
What exactly was cut?

How do I activate the content that comes with the Deluxe Edition?

You shouldn't have that much of an issue, in theory, since my system is a bit lower than yours.
So do we have a compiled list of PC fixes? Like the console/pc edit and all that? Or at least a summary of the important stuff? Or is the final build fixed from all that?
I want this as well.
What exactly was cut?
The Beretta 92FS and the Barrett M468, I was honestly really surprised they cut the Beretta since it was so heavily featured in the advertising and what-not. This seems like another one of those games that focuses solely on the graphics as a selling point rather than gameplay, for those that have it how close am I? Is the gameplay worth $60 because I don't want to pay for something that looks good but gets boring very quickly due to the lack of any solid gameplay worth playing past the initial life of the game.

I have been playing it for about 10 hours now and I'm still not bored with it and still finding new things to do.
I already have 7 hours in the game and I've only done 4/9 missions of Act 1. Haven't tried any AR games, only 2 digital trips, and haven't gotten to do online. I'm assuming I'll get atleast 30~ hours out of this game, at $52 I say it's worth it. a restaurant bill can be $52 dollars w/ a group of people and that only takes an hour to two hours.
I don't play much games of this genre, open world games and stuff. I think I'll enjoy Watch Dogs a lot. [editline]27th May 2014[/editline] Also, here's a nice list of tweaks. Just don't get into any cop chases, because those are just awful. Ubisoft consistently applies vehicle characteristics to only your car, so even if you have the same vehicle as an NPC that you're chasing or one that's chasing you, he's going to go significantly faster.
Lol any threads on FP outisde of this one are a toxic pit of dumbs and people not willing to listen to dissenting opinions. Pathetic place FP is outside of GGD sometimes.

Wow, just invaded, initiated the hack just before he left the hack circle, he went on his way and I just waited for the hack to finish
Does anyone know [sp]if the dead body on the island in the middle of the ocean[/sp] is connected to the story or not? Me and a friend just found it while "urban exploring" and I was curious.

Oh, steam overlay can cause the controls to go wonky.
Getting a bunch of crashes now in the first intro cutscene. Did not have this issue in the leaked version. How to fix?
