Argh. I'm about to give up on the multiplayer. I can never ever find any players. So frustrating I hear it is a bunch of fun.
It takes a few minutes but I usually always find a match now, and when I'm not searching I'm getting invaded quite frequently too. It's nice that you can still explore and stuff while searching for a match as well, or the time it takes to find a match would be pretty unbearable. [editline]28th May 2014[/editline] Holy fuck I didn't know steam pipe explosions were so intense. Saved my ass but it launched me a fair bit.

So frustrating I hear it is a bunch of fun.
I have like 15 hours (~12 yesterday) of "gameplay". Guess how many of these were in online (online hacking, tailing, racing, free roam or decryption)... ... 0 (Yes, no invasions either). I really do hope they do something about it soon. The anger I had yesterday after wasting whole day off work on trying to fix that damn multiplayer issue... :(
I think Vagabond might be my favourite outfit.

Had heaps of multiplayer today and yesterday.

I gotta say though it does make me feel a bit better knowing I'm not the only one. I do keep seeing some people say they are having little to no issues with it though. I wish these companies would just give up and give in to Steamworks. It always seems to work so flawlessly.

I have done this yesterday: -All necessary ports were forwarded. -All firewalls were disabled (router and windows) -Scanned PC for viruses and malware, nothing of interest found. -Uninstalled anti-virus and anti-malware, just in case, didn't help. -Disabled all services beside graphical, sound and network ones... didn't help. I'm on an edge now and really considering just going for formatting whole OS... just to freaking see if it does anything...
I've had plenty.
So apperantly, I have switched from Windows 8.1 (64) to my super old Win 7 (64), that I haven't used in almost 1,5 year ... Online works here... Heh... what the fuck is going on with my Win 8.1...
I don't know... I think the OS... Game...
Got the new AMD drivers and saw a 25% performance increase! [sp]from 20fps to 25fps[/sp] :suicide:

I also forwarded the necessary ports for Watch_Dogs according to Ubi, even enabled the DMZ for my LAN, and it still says the ports are closed on my PC.
Fucking hell have any of you played Alone? Oh my god, I love that minigame. I played the whole thing through on my first visit because I fucking loved it.
huh, I'm not able to find any players either and I'm on 8.1 too. problem related to OS?
Are the AMD drivers only for certain cards? I've had 14.4 for a while and Catalyst is saying that I'm all squared away.

Anyone out there on 8.1 that can connect?

[editline]28th May 2014[/editline] im on 8.0 and can connect. guess im not gonna risk updating either

I'm doing some moving around in Windows Firewall, will update if I figure anything out.
So when you invade someone they are only notified if you initiate the hack on them? Can anybody confirm? This would be amazing to wait for the best moment.
So when you invade someone they are only notified if you initiate the hack on them? Can anybody confirm? This would be amazing to wait for the best moment.
They're not specifically told anyone is in there game unless you start the hack. However, if they attempt to start a mission while you're in their game they'll be told they can't start the mission, so they can know if they're not alone. I've also found out that if you open up the pause menu and the game in the background doesn't pause, someone is in your game, which some people might be abusing.
huh, I'm not able to find any players either and I'm on 8.1 too. problem related to OS?
looks like it, 8.1 here too, can never find anyone online in matchmaking, never get invaded, but i can connect to some mobile players.
So im not sure if ive just found the best easter egg ever or its just a coincidence, but I was on a mission to take down a convoy, and, I shit you not, out of one of the cars steps a guy wearing the fucking titan armor from X-com. Also for people complaining they aren't getting invaded, just going around and hacking peoples phones will lead you to having someone putting a bounty on you which, for me at least, usually leads to someone invading you within minutes.

I get ctOS all day. Nothing else though.
I'm really enjoying this, graphics are a bit hit and miss but there is a lot of things to do and the story is fairly neat.

They have a purple hacking icon and will phone your hacking in if you don't stop them.
Awww yiss I love how the fast travel is only between stations. I never use it and end up (mostly) just running everywhere. It's awesome.
I've also found out that if you open up the pause menu and the game in the background doesn't pause, someone is in your game, which some people might be abusing.
This is something I was curious about. Does anyone know if you can be "invaded" while the game is paused normally? Because if that's the case then I have to do what I do with Dark Souls when I need to go away for a bit, actually quit out instead of simply pausing.
I'm on a 280X too, getting 40-60fps on high over here, sounds like your CPU's bottlenecking it.
I get anywhere inbetween 35-65 but I value consistency over a maximum number. I'd rather 30 that never drops than it going from 40 to 60 sometimes. I get that some people are fine with that though, so to each his own. I have an i5 4440 and 12gb of RAM and while I never expected to run this game on ultra I feel like it should be running at a consistent 60 at lowest settings. Considering even people like Totalbiscuit who has an i7 and two titans can't keep it at 60fps on max settings without getting frame-rate drops I'm pretty sure the problem is more on the game than on my hardware.
Awww yiss I love how the fast travel is only between stations. I never use it and end up (mostly) just running everywhere. It's awesome.
I only use it if I need to literally cross the entire map, and even then, I usually have a fair amount of travel left.
Got the new AMD drivers and saw a 25% performance increase! [sp]from 20fps to 25fps[/sp] :suicide:
Found out if I set everything to low or off (and texture quality to medium because that's as low as it goes for some reason) I can play a game that looks like it's being rendered on an Xbox 360 and gain a whole TWO FPS Honestly the fact that I can't reach 30fps in this game in any state (with entirely capable hardware) solely because Ubisoft has nVidia's dick shoved up its ass is fucking unacceptable. If Ubisoft wants to ostracize a fairly large portion of the computer gaming audience I guess that's their prerogative, but I hope that they don't expect me to pay for this laggy mess.
Completely disabled 8.1's firewall, still can't connect. I feel like we are starting to get somewhere though, so there's that.
