going to hold off on this until nvidia gets their shit together with this game that not even tri sli 780 ti can run except on medium smoothly
How can it not run ultra? It must be the CPU or something.
going to hold off on this until nvidia gets their shit together with this game that not even tri sli 780 ti can run except on medium smoothly
I'm using a 560 ti and i'm getting smooth frames on high/ultra. Did you do the nvidia control panel thing? That boosted my frames by a lot.
Half the time i try to surrender to cops just shoot me, unarmed.
I feel like the only one who doesn't have issues running this game. GTX 770 with a 2600K, yeah it's pretty powerful, but heaps of people I've seen with more powerful computers are running it worse than me. Then again my computer seems to be able to run everything way better than it should. Absolutely loving this game though, it kinda makes me sad I won't be able to play this weekend since I'm going to Melbourne. Had a pretty funny event with one of those fixer contracts though. Someone was coming after me while I was driving along, loose control of the car and slam in to the person who was trying to get me, killing him instantly.
Holy crap the unique M107 is amazing. One shot anywhere can stop a car, and one well placed shot into the engine can take down an armored truck...
Enjoying the game so far, borrowed off a friend on PC. I found out setting Max GPU buffered frames to 1 stops the stuttering almost completely. My PC is aging though as I cant run this over medium without loosing a decent framerate. How long is the story?

Interesting how people better rigs are doing worse, like you said.
Evading another player with Feds Watchin' playing in the background is the best thing ever.
I think I'm just going to give up and go back to Windows 7. Not being able to even try the multiplayer is really bugging me.
Likewise. I'll be going Win7 tonight after work. Oh well - it'll be nice to have a freshly installed OS I suppose. Gotta be optimistic.
How do you make it work on Win 8.1?
You have to use a program called radeonpro (doesn't matter if you have nvidia or amd) to get sweetfx to work for most games on 8.1. Which is a little annoying because it has to be running in the background for it to apply to the game. It's only compatible with sweetfx 1.4 though so make sure to download and extract that somewhere you'll remember. Then run radeonpro and go in to settings (weird white symbol at top) > SweetFX settings > enable integration and set the root location (show it where the sweetfx 1.4 folder is) > save. Add new profile > select the exe (for watch dogs it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Watch_Dogs\bin) > go to the sweetfx tab > enable sweetfx > tweak stuff or import settings by scrolling down on the sweetfx section > right click the profile on the left and apply now.
I just switched over to my AMD rig which is running Windows 7 so I can play multiplayer. If anyone wants to do free roam or racing feel free to add truedarkrei9n on UPlay.

Is there any benefit to doing a digital trip from a dealer instead of just going into your phone menu?
Well I got my second BSOD while playing, hopefully my cloud save wasn't too far from where I was.

so whats your fav outfit and why is it rural
Likewise. I'll be going Win7 tonight after work. Oh well - it'll be nice to have a freshly installed OS I suppose. Gotta be optimistic.
Haven't done it yet but that is how I am looking at it. Windows 8 is starting to run slow anyway.
so whats your fav outfit and why is it rural
Chicago South Club. I've tried every outfit and I don't like any of them 100% for one reason or another. Also, I love how useful craftable items are in online hacking. Multiple times i've spotted the hacker just in time only because I used a jam, and earlier today I was almost caught hacking because the guy used a camera and I used a blackout and that was the only reason I won.
I'm liking the game so far, but do the police just not give a shit about 70% of the crimes Pearce commits?
Paranoid Batman hobo stalker simulator 2014 Games a blast :v:
Protip for invaders: If youre gonna park your car to try to blend in while you hack, dont leave the headlights on you dingus.
how do you even invite friends to an online sesh :v:
Protip for invaders: If youre gonna park your car to try to blend in while you hack, dont leave the headlights on you dingus.
Also don't go speeding off when I scan the car in front of you. Its kind of obvious that you're the hacker when all of a sudden this car that I thought I checked goes speeding off into a wall.
how do you even invite friends to an online sesh :v:
Open smartphone, right next to "online contracts" there's a small 1/3 of the bar menu called "Online Session." Open that up, and press the invite friends button. Depending on platform, it's pretty straightforward from that point on. Enjoy online!
Half the time i try to surrender to cops just shoot me, unarmed.
The only time I managed to surrender is by having only one star and having my weapon holstered. Aiden then raises his hands automatically and you wait for the cops to arrest you or do something else. I haven't tried doing it on higher wanted levels, though. Also, something really fun to do is to try to get 5 stars and escaping without killing anyone.
I'm starting to find some people with 8.1 that can actually play the Online components, so now I'm not so sure if it even is 8.1, or something specific those of us that can't play have something going on with it. This is so damn frustrating.
I'm on PS4. When I open that tab up, the only options I have are 'Notoriety Skills' and 'Open Profile'
That's interesting. Perhaps try doing it with whatever integrated menu the PS4 has, if any. I'm sorry I can't help much more, I don't have a PS4. Perhaps try starting up a game, and then inviting someone?
