I saw some posts and videos where people did invasions and hid in bushes, and it totally works. Some guy ran past me like 3 times while I just hid in a bush.

It got stuck in the grill. :v:
I hate to say it, but the game is already getting boring for me. The story is completely uninteresting, and the multiplayer, while exciting at first, is fundamentally broken.
Here's a small detail that I thought was pretty cool.
The ground under the glass hood stays dry when it rains and no rain drops are seen hitting the ground in that area.
You think that's good detail?
Go inside a car while it's raining, you will see rain drops on your jacket while sitting inside a car... with a roof.
Saw it in one of the cut scenes, that takes a close shot of you being a driver.
Probably late, but I came across this little guy last night and thought it was neat-o.

So I do have working multiplayer, although other players are a bit hard to come by. That was really fun. I haven't 100% hacked anyone, but I came pretty close once. The first time I did it, I hid in a parking lot off to the side. When he got too close to my car a floored it out of there, then I raised one of those elevating bridges and drove away off the top while he had to bring it back down.
I love how people are disagreeing with my own personal opinion of my experience with the game :v:
So, went to visit the cloud gate that's in Chicago. Why the fuck does it look like a textureless bluey-pink mess? Was hoping for a nice mirror reflection effect or something. Looks shite.

I think they put a lot of effort into the rain in particular, that's when the game looks best, at night when it's raining

Probably because that would be fairly intensive to pull off well, though I agree it's definitely not eye candy.

They are saying that they don't share the same opinion as you, because they still find it fun. That's a totally legitimate reason to rate disagree.
Says the man who can't get past Act 2 because of his potato rig so he complains in the thread about literally any portion of the video game that isn't perfection. It's so aggravating. I'm not mad at you for disliking the story, I'm mad at you for being a fucking dumbass so aggressively in my face.
The story is kind of bland, Aiden has no personality except for having a dead niece. The part where you had to drive to the cemetery to "remember" was great. I come hooning up in my muscle car doing powerslides, crash into little Lena's tombstone and get out to "remember".
Surely there was a more organic way of showing that piece of the story?
I also thought it was lazy of them to have his sister Nicky wearing the exact same outfit in the flashback as she wears today.
All in all I am enjoying it though, the gameplay kind of carries it as the story is mostly rubbish and predictable.
Yep, still can't find a single multiplayer game yet...
am i the only one who's never even been invaded yet?
throughout my 8 hours of gameplay ive only found two players to actually hack, what the hell is going on

For those like me with an AMD card, might be worth installing the new beta driver. It's boosted my fps by 5-8.

The servers fluctuate from being up and down quite often. Give it a few days for everything to be stable and you'll be invaded a lot.
I've been invaded a total of maybe 6 times already and they haven't gotten me yet. I always catch them with their pants down attempting to hide in a car. Some dude almost got me by hiding in the train, but I hacked it and forced it to move away and then it suddenly stopped and saw him jump out off the bridge and kill himself. Was magnificent.
Also, Tailing is the easiest way to make experience. All you have to do is stare at them and hope they don't see you.

I find hacking easier than tailing, if you're lucky you end up near a train station.
All you do then is get onto the roof of the station and start the hack.
Tada enjoy watching your target run around like a headless chicken.
I just had some asshole alt-f4 to stop me from hacking him.
wtf
people who have had issues with multiplayer, has things sorted itself out for you guys? I tried what ketchup did, disable all the network adapters but the one I'm using, no dice

Heh, I like these.
Just spent 4 fucking hours playing poker until I finally won a round. Why am I such a completionist and why do I suck so much at poker, even when cheating...

I had one that said "DAT ASS"
Got invaded, couldnt find the guy anywhere. i ended up losing and when it shown their hiding spot they were miles away. what is this devilry
Oh god hacked a guy, hid in the multistorey carpark, on the last 90% I started to just drive around in circles, he found me yet didn't profile me, I drove down a storey him still following, he got another car, went back to top floor, continued to drive around in circles now with him following.
Hits 100%.
"You've been profiled"
Escaped and we both got full rewards. :v:
I was lucky and my guy was near a bride, I started the hack and booked it to the other side and his in a corner at the edge of the circle. I started looking for him with cameras and I saw he'd jumped into the river looking for me.
my copy just arrived, thank god for fucking 'release day delivery'.

I personally think the game would have looked and felt drastically better if it had been timelocked at night with rain being very common.
Daytime in this game just feels basic, underwhelming and greatly emphasizes all the mediocre aspects of the world design.
I wish the game had cheat codes like GTA. I'd love to be able to change time of day, weather, spawn vehicles etc. it kinda feels like a must in a open world game, to have cheats like these

Unlocking those cheat codes in AC3 was probably the funniest part of the game because gave you a reason to explore everywhere.
A similar system would have worked well with watchdogs imo.
