Oh jesus whatever you do, dont get your tires blown. Your car turns into what sounds like a rocket taking off.
So most people I talk to that have actually played the game, like it.
Those I've seen relentlessly bashing it are redditors, facepuncher, and GAFers that have yet to try it and are basing their opinions off of an internet game of telephone. Everywhere else I go I see "looks promising, will check out".
I don't think I've ever seen a game be received so chaotically.
Oh god hacked a guy, hid in the multistorey carpark
Dunno if this is what you were specifically doing, but assuming you were honestly the best place to hide while invading is parked with other cars. There's so much less of a chance to fuck up pretending to be the AI if you are parked.
One time I parked outside someone's house and was settled, the guy came near me and then I realized I'd made HUGE skid marks outside the house. Thankfully the other guy didn't notice. Such a tense moment, I love it!

I think the gist of all of it is, yes it was overhyped, yes it under-delivered, but it is still a bunch of fun if you can put all that aside.
Did anyone use blackout and just raid the place for the objective set in the [sp]car dealership[/sp]? Have to admit that was the most satisfying thing I've done so far, really enjoying the story missions thus far. I imagine you can do it a multitude of other ways which is what I really like about the game.
That feeling when you realize you've been invaded:tinfoil:

Was hiding in a car at the top, when it hit 90% I decided to just fuck around and drive in circles then that happened.
I hid in a car in a garage, eventually he figured out I was in there somewhere, once he got close I opened the door on my way out and closed it behind me as I zipped off. I love escaping.
This game is half baked.
Why do people think Alt+F4ing at 99% will stop me getting rewards and them losing it?
Because they lose it when they next login. Fucking dumbasses wasting my time.

Adam really takes hiding seriously, don't he?

It's just classic anti-hype circle-jerkery where people bring in their high school bullshit to the gaming scene and pretend that a person liking aspects of a game is "On one side" and a person disliking aspects of it (often the same person stating subjective reasoning to objective analysis) is "on the other side" therefore over simplifying the subject and showing little to no understanding of nuance. When you call them out to explain they simply regress to the previous methods of "It's shit and your dumb for liking it" antics, the kind of which you generally warn against in the very post they quoted and pretended to read and understand.
It's a pretty great game with some serious problems that may rightfully prevent a lot of people from enjoying it, but trying to explain that someone can like and dislike aspects of the same thing in an objective way to a teenager with the mindset of "IS BAD OR IS GOOD THERE ONLY TWO SIDES TO GAME" is like talking to a brick wall that insultingly pretends to actually understand what you are saying and then proceeds to contradict everything you just said because newest AAA bandwagon. Facepunch and Reddit are very bad for this type of childish behavior. Getting pretty sick of people bringing this attitude into the gaming scene, it isn't as simple as liking things or not liking things, you can do a bit of both and form your own opinion of whether it's for you or not, and I have seen you specifically Hybrid making very good points on this but hey, why listen when kids can rate you dumb for an epic zinger.
For anyone that hasn't tried the Digital Trips, I really suggest you do them.
I just did the "Alone" one and wow. It was surprisingly fun.
And you get a rad outfit from it too.
So, went to visit the cloud gate that's in Chicago. Why the fuck does it look like a textureless bluey-pink mess? Was hoping for a nice mirror reflection effect or something. Looks shite.
Shit, the mirror doesn't even work in your first safehouse. Can't imagine them doing something like the chrome bean.

Alone reminds me so much of "The World's End".
I love the digital trips!
15 hours in this game already, only on mission 5/9 of act 1 :>

I snuck around back and [sp]killed him through a wall[/sp]. It's awesome.
The multiplayer is awesome. First time I got invaded, it was so easy to spot the guy that I just beat the shit outta him with my baton.
So I started doing other multiplayer modes than hacking, and I really enjoy them. I suck at racing, tailing is tense when they realize you're there (i'm guessing by the fact that the pause menu doesn't pause the game if someone "seamlessly" joins you) and I find a ctOS mobile app game within 30 seconds. Though they've all lost connection so far.
I'm still unable to play any form of multiplayer :( mobile works, but that's boring
Sometimes I just don't get it. They didn't bother with having proper reflections, but your character can effectively and realistically block the image from the ONE PROJECTOR IN THE GAME (that i've seen so far)
i spied someone by just driving like an NPC. by the time he actually got out of his car to look at me, he ran out of time.
The disparity between the quality of the voices bothers me. I mean voice acting wise most are quite good, but audio quality wise, some sound kind of..."tinny?" I dunno, I feel like the sound design of impacts, explosions, and some guns is great, but the rest of the guns and most cars as well as voices is off.

why is this happening to me
I got it and for some reason I lag on LOW Graphics when using a 770 Graphics card

What CPU?
Just driving along then I notice a guy drop something...

Well, Temporal SMAA seems to do a pretty good job. Textures are on medium though and it looks like crap and anything higher than medium will induce stuttering. A Ubi dev said on Twitter that they're working on a PC patch. I hope it won't take too long.

Have you set the prerendered frames to 5 or something?

Disable any adapters that isn't your one for connecting to the internet, restart uplay, then try..

I don't fucking understand this game's police
I just spent quite literally 30 minutes driving around without a policeman in sight and my level 4 wanted level wouldn't fuck off. "We've got the suspect in sight!". No you fucking don't you weird omnipotent fuckwits you're across the fucking city and I'm in the middle of the ocean or in the back of a garage or sitting in the middle of a field.
Icing on the fucking cake was THE most inconvenient invasion ever, which ended in the invader escaping after I rammed his person and rubber banding said "nah, he's in the car".
[editline]29th May 2014[/editline]
And some mobile player kept sending high powered units after me despite the fact that the helicopter was also quite literally across the map from me, so he was generating Heat from staring at nothing????
