I really don't see how it could run on a current gen console.

A watering down with the same volume of 'water' that was poured onto 'Operation Flashpoint - Dragon Rising?'

Yeah this was recorded at Medium settings and at 720p

For me it's usually the other way around. Probably has something to do with this terrible computer, though.
It doesn't work like that.
Yeah it does, xbox architecture's pretty similar to windows.
PS3 is a whole another thing though.
Gameplay video made me think of Syndicate plus GTA.
I was thinking also about how supposedly every house, building, etc. you can enter. That seems like possibly the most ambitious thing ever
You know, I think it wouldn't be too hard to pull off with procedural generation. Just have the overall layout of the interior, some guidelines for the game to place stuff where it belongs, a wide cathalogue of objects and textures for the game to choose from, and let it go wild with generating. This way, things would look different in every interior, and it wouldn't require fucktons of memory to actually save all these different interiors. That's just an idea, though - but I've seen what games can do with procedural generation, and I believe they could actually pull this off.
I have a real bad feeling this game isn't going to be able to live up to the hype. I hope it does because I haven't been looking forward to a game like this in a very long time. Something about it though just doesn't seem right. I don't imagine the final product being able to deliver on all these promises.

Even if it doesn't promise everything that was posted in this thread, I would be happy to have something along the lines in the trailer. Don't get hype get to your brain. All I'm sad is that this is Ubisoft and it doesn't allow modding that much so community wouldn't be able to mod it to meet higher expectations.
Modding? Zombies in Chicago and you fight for your survival with cellphones.
Modding? Zombies in Chicago and you fight for your survival with cellphones.
With that kind of AI, that could be potentially awesome. Not sure how hacking would work, though. We only know it controls traffic lights, cell phones and bridges. Zombies don't use cars, phones or bridges, so using hacks to fight them seems impractical.
The size of the city and the fluid animations would help, but it's been done before in GTA IV and it didn't really go anywhere.
-snip bad idea-
Intelligent zombies that can use weapons, cars, electronic devices, etc.
So... Citizens that just want to attack you and eat your brains? Doesn't seem like.. well I think it would just be better to have a way to turn all the citizens against you. Seems simpler.
Intelligent zombies that can use weapons, cars, electronic devices, etc.
So you're just fighting a bunch of office workers?
Intelligent zombies that can use weapons, cars, electronic devices, etc.
Yeah, that doesn't... that doesn't make any sense. You hack cellphones to distract zombies that use cellphones? Hack traffic lights to make zombie car crashes? I think it'd be easier to make a "riot mode" mod in like in San Andreas.
...
Oh my god, that would actually be really fucking awesome.

Noam Jenkins is the voice actor for Aiden Pearce.
This game reminds me of Person of Interest (TV).
Hi,
It is with great regret that we inform you that Joseph Demarco passed away in a tragic, yet unexplained accident. Being one of the most important philanthropists in the local digital art scene, his demise has left a deep void in the community. Out of respect for his friends and family, the dotconnexion exhibition will be cancelled.
Sincerely yours,
The dotconnexion Team

I bet the main character will hack it and send out emails or something.

it was an accident, nobody is at fault, i'm sure it is perfectly explainable
it was an accident, nobody is at fault, i'm sure it is perfectly explainable
I heard it was some accidental car accident because they were working on some lights in the city.
Pretty fatal since several cars collided. :/
They should've just blocked off the road instead of working with the lights on a very busy road.
holy fuckin shit this looks good

if this game actually lives up to the hype, I think it could possibly knock gta V out of my most wanted game of the year

You fucking idiot it was the government! He was a strong and brave man and the CIA were afraid he would make us all realize their agenda!
So I also got this dotconnexion letter, but some dolt put all of us in CC instead of BCC, meaning now we all know each others' email addresses.
Now that's fucking meta.
I'd probably have a more positive outlook on this if it wasn't for 90% anons that keep replying to the mess with the usual 4chan bitterness. Some are actually motivated to turn this into something cool, but there's constantly some asshole that insults everyone for no reason and insists on getting a free copy of the game as compensation.
Fuckin' hell.

Hm, odd. Must've been unlucky. I only see the mail being sent to me, not seeing any other mails on it.
Same here.
