Well honestly it's just a really poorly named system, it's not even a matter of being good or evil or anything, it's a matter of notoriety and public perception, which is why hacking people's bank accounts doesn't matter and why only stuff people can see will actually impact your meter. If it had been called a notoriety system and dropped the stupid titles like vigilante/anarchist/etc it would have been a lot clearer.
The "stupid titles" I took as more of "civilian nicknames." I mean if someone beats up a few criminals, they'll have protected some people from getting hurt. However if they make a habit of it, they're seen as a vigilante who is trying to take justice into their own hands. Similarly, media will flip a shit if you kill a few petty thefts and call you a "anarchist" or something along those lines, but it's something that can fade away after a while. However if you make a habit of being a dildo to the population you're a menace to society. Morality is entirely in the hands of the player, and how you imagine Aiden to be. The public aren't going to know you skimmed some money from someone's bank account, or that it was YOU that stole their car. The eye of the population only turns on you based on how you kill / incapacitate people. It's actually my favorite "moral choice" system in video games, mostly because it doesn't really fuck over the entire world (looking at you Dishonored) if you're an asshole. It's literally just 1 or 2 news reports and people phoning for the cops if they see you, said asshole. Because you aren't a critical portion of society, really. You're just some guy. I dunno I really like this game.
Ending spoilers: [sp]Did anyone else think that you could've saved Quinn when they give you the prompt to hack his pacemaker a second time? I thought that hacking his pacemaker again would fix it, but nope, it just killed him faster.[/sp]
the last level is bullshit, evade the cops when theres only fucking fire men EVERYWHERE.
It's fucking crazy, but I did it somehow. It's easy to deal with cops early on because you can just fireblast kill them when you've got the power, but when the bomb demons are everywhere, it's like fucking bumper cars, and they drain whatever power you have. Your best bet is to go into alleys and dodge as much as you can.
Anyone else get this in act iv? [t]http://puu.sh/9emp9/7be853e076.jpg[/t]
So is this worth getting on PC yet or should I hold out until they patch the problems people seem to be having?
So is this worth getting on PC yet or should I hold out until they patch the problems people seem to be having?
I'm not having any issues any longer.
Just finished the story. I liked it, sure some stuff was out of place or lacking complexity but overall I thought it was pretty good. Way better than everyone else has made it out to be. And for the last mission where you have to [sp]hack 3 ctOS stations to upload the virus[/sp] I was doing that on realistic difficulty pistol only. Fuck me that was hard

Is the amount of crimes in the game limited? Because the progress wheel says that you get an achievement at 20.
Is the amount of crimes in the game limited? Because the progress wheel says that you get an achievement at 20.
Nope, they keep coming.
Aiden the hero who put all 20 of Chicago's criminals behind bars
btw the dlc digital trip mission is extremely meh, pretty much scan for robot people and shoot them in the weakspots then move on. think of alone if it had a ton less atmosphere and robots calmly walk towards you to blow up when youre spotted.
I think the floodgates are about to open, did a few tailing missions and got invaded twice. Both times, as soon as i started to shoot at the hacker, he would tank my magazine (emptied a vector into one, and a few bursts of goblin into the other) proceed to speed away on foot going from being 50m away and being 250m away in a matter of seconds. it was fun while it lasted :suicide:.
Does anybody know where to find/how is that song called that plays when you start a fixer contract? It's awesome as hell, the beginning of it kinda reminds me of this song
So hey When I got to try this game I didn't particualrly like the bit of the story I had time for, and the game itself felt pretty meh both graphically and functionally But recently I've seen people stream the multiplayer and tbh that looks pretty damn fun Anyone know where I can find the cheapest possible game keys for Steam? I ain't paying full price for this. Not worth it. But if I can find a 30-35 dollar key, I'll jump on that.

This game has been nothing but beautiful visually IMO.
What did you find meh about the graphics? This game has been nothing but beautiful visually IMO.
Daytime felt really low-contrast and the colors felt very washed out. That's the best way to summarize it, really. Nighttime looked pretty good, and the water-puddles on grounds and stuff were neat but not really noteworthy. Also, every single shadow from the trees look super weird. It's like the tree is made out of rubber and just swishing back and forth all over the place. And this is on Ultra, minus a bit of AO and AA.

Am I the only one who hasn't had a single issue with performance? The game is running at medium, with shaders and water on high at full 50-60 FPS, no stuttering.
[sp]I will not replay this game again until after I've a better computer or the game runs better on my current one. Because fuck chasing Defalt, the chase took over an hour because runs slower than tar.[/sp]
Is it impossible to unlock all skills on one character? I did a shit ton of invasions and just put my skill points into random slots. I'm now at max level (unable to level up any further) with 2 skill points left but with 3 skills, one of which requires 5 skill points to buy :/

Pushing 1440p @ about 30-40 fps which is pretty good considering I'm only using a 7870. The the frame rate is fairly consistent and doesn't bob up and down randomly.
I'm playing on a 670 and i7-2600 with a 360 controller and I played the game at highest settings (except texture detail) and got through the entire game without any serious framerate drops at all. I'm sure I am playing at like 30fps but with a controller I can't tell the difference. I'll probably play with mouse when the acceleration gets fixed.
I'd have preferred if the front of the T-shirt had had the connect logo or the title, with the other one being at the back instead of having Aiden's face on the front with the title in small at the back near the neck and [HACKING IS OUR WEAPON] at bottom left in small at the front.
