I mean there's only so much you can do with 7 year old hardware designed around running games like Oblivion and not Watch Dogs.
Yeah but why does GTA or even Saints Row look better on the system? I understand where you're coming from but I think Ubisoft couldn't be arsed to properly release a somewhat proper version for the older gens.

Because originally it was a DX11 game developed on the PC platform. Then Ubisoft Montreal cruised their big fat dick into the project and demanded the development platform be changed, forcing shit to be removed, whole development choices to be canned and quick rushed hacky fixes put in place to support a new development platform. Shit went out of the fucking window and they had to then port a shoddy badly put together game to a weak platform.
If it stayed on the PC platform and the suits didn't force them to change it, it would have been a much cleaner port but you have to remember, it's a DX11 game and the 360 is only DX9, pretty much all of those fancy things you see are going to be removed or vastly downgraded because its an entirely different DirectX platform.
TL;DR Ubisoft Montreal fucked up the game.
I've encountered a glitch where once I obtained the vector smg in alone before getting it in the main story, I can't get it in the main game anymore, it's not in the weapon wheel or buyable in shops. Has anyone else come across this?

Yep, exact same thing happened to me. That's why I never used the Kriss at all.
I just finished the game but like its sitting on that screen with the city buildings might restart

Rebooting game worked well wow idk if that ending choice changes anything anyone know?
[sp]if you shoot him, nothing happens and if you don't, aiden laments about stuff[/sp]
I feel like gunplay is pretty fun in the game, but I'm too much of a stealth player to appreciate it.
I still love dumping a mag of 1911 into some guy's chest but I find myself popping silenced headshots 90% of the time.
Yeah speaking of dumping mags into enemies, I feel like the elite units (not the heavy armor dudes) are way too bullet spongy.
Like, 30 rounds from an assault rifle to the knee and they still run like nothing's ever happened, what kind of shit is that, it ends with me having to pull out an anti-materiel rifle to "incapacitate" a single police officer, whereas in reality it'd probably pretty much disintegrate them
i dont understand how people hate the cars, GTA4 had some of the most eugh controlling of cars ever since almost every car felt like steering at any speed led you to lose control and slam into walls. I remember everyone bitching about 4's vehicle handling, but i dont know if they improved it in 5. Cars in Watch dogs feel fine most of the time and handle like you would expect, going to fast makes steering hard unless its an sporty car. Then again i dont play mouse and KB.
GTA4 had excellently realistically weighted cars. GTAV has arcadey, responsive, semi realistic driving. It's perfect.
Watch dogs cars literally feel like bricks on frictionless material. You just slide around and move where you don't want to. When the frame rate starts stuttering whilst driving, that's just the worst.

Huh. Are they total bullet sponges if you shoot them anywhere but the head or something? I remember killing elites with just a single head shot from a handgun.

You know, at first when I played the game, I would have agreed that the controls for cars in Watch Dogs is a bit slippery, but after you do a few fixer contracts for vehicles, maybe even the Madness digital, you really begin to understand the control of a vehicle enough to adequately handle them all. I think of all the vehicles in the game, the motorcycles probably handle the best, and they've got this great feeling since they feel very fast, but still maintain enough weight so you're not thrown off one if you so much as bump into a wall or railing.

Yeah, headshots kill them instantly, but if you're going for leg shots on cops for example, oh boy, you better have some good cover and patience

I'm not so sure about that. Heavier cars like the SUV's, Hummers, and trucks in general were well implemented to watching 2 door coupes or sedans struggle to make corners at relatively low speeds seemed unrealistically exaggerated. Agreed on GTA V and Watch Dogs though

Damnit, I was hoping to buy that gun soon.

Its all about the throttle and [hand]brake control. The game pretty much demands it, especially on the keyboard and mouse with all or nothing controls. You can't mindlessly press accelerate as your going to lose control in turns. You also have to correct over and under steer, especially on RWD vehicles. After you figure this out, driving is actually extremely simple.
I can't comment on the stuttering issue as I don't have the issue.
Some of the unreleased soundtracks are pretty good.

I'm still trying to find the music in the Madness digital trip, but haven't found the tracks yet. :(

I dunno, 5 or 6 hours of playing or so now, you'd think I'd like the cars by now. still hate them. They still feel inferior to GTAV cars in every way. I was playing that last week so I have it fresh in my mind so I can compare them well I think.
The impacts look big but the way the cars move and the damage caused by them is so little it's not really all that impressive looking.
Motorcycles do feel very good though.

it's not about simple or complex. It's about how it feels. I love driving and I love games that lean to the more realistic like driving models.
Watch Dogs doesn't really have the driving I'd like out of it, but it's not terrible either.
I switched apps on Xbone and got hacked while I was editing a clip in Upload :(
I love how the blackout app shuts down everything in the ENTIRE city. It's so surreal running around a city in complete darkness.

Well, I suppose the other issue is that if we constantly compare to GTA handling, it's always going to be a troubling adjustment. Cars in different games can all feel very different, even GTA has such a major vehicle handling discrepancy between everything in the series, the only universal things they seem to share are the button inputs used for the vehicles.
I guess I just adapt in a very specific way that allows me to eventually get used to whatever I'm controlling. For example, if I'm playing Watch Dogs for long enough, then play something like SA-MP, I'll be so used to Watch Dog's car handling, it'll take me a small time to readjust to the GTA style of handling, but it'll have a brief period of feeling unnatural.
The only other explanation is me using keyboard has something to do with it.

doing it stealthy is really handy in these games
especially going into a gang zone.
To anybody still having trouble with the drinking minigame: Go to the drinking minigame located near the bottom of the Wards. It's much easier to handle than the one located within the Loop.
Was finally able to get the Piledriver shotgun because of it.
Chicago is a swell place, indeed.

Steam says there's DLC for this already.
That was a little too fast.

I find the actual handling feels fine. But I will agree that collisions are very weak. Now I know what people mean when cars just "bounce" off stuff. If I get in a head on collision, I expect the other driver to die, or at the very least, not drive away like its no big deal. Even DRIV3R had that.

I mean there was already loads of day one DLC might as well not beat around the bush
-snip-
The multiplayer aspect of this game is amazing. It's really great, it reminds me a lot of Assassins Creed but far more intense.
Also when I'm detected while hacking, can I still kill the host? I was detected and knew that I was fucked so I shot him twice with a shotgun in the face right in front of me, but he didn't die.
So I bought the game, found a cheap deal for like 32 dollars on a Russian vendor, just had to change some game files to get it in English.
I'm slowly inching forwards in the story because it isn't very interesting
Is it just me or did they [sp]reveal who Badboy17/Clara was WAY too early? I wasn't even remotely shocked or intrigued by it. Had they given me more time to get attached to the character maybe it'd have more impact.[/sp]
And did anyone even doubt for a second that [sp]Lucky Quinn was at the center of it? It was ridiculously damn obvious from the start.[/sp]
