I've watched the Gameplay Reveal trailer and it just looks like they removed a bunch of filters and effects.

There are augmented reality gamemodes you can play using the ingame phone apps. There are aliens, robot-like dudes, that spider mech, zombie/demon mode, and probably others as well. They're not actually a real thing in the game's universe.
At least, I hope not.
