The recommended for Ultra is a HD 7970 so I should technically be able to run it on High with a 6970, right?

To be fair, Crysis 3 looks far better, and runs on far less. I could see the RAM requirement for Watchdogs, though. With the game being a seamless open world, and pedestrians all having their own profile and routines, even if only a small area around you is all that's being considered, that's a lot of shit, compared to a static map. As for GPU requirements, they do seem high IMO, but the minimum is a card that you can pick up for $50-60 now, so hopefully it actually does scale as well as it sounds

You have to remember that Crysis was relatively small levels with a few NPCs at a time and this is an open world game with civilians and vehicles everywhere.

And Crysis is running on CryEngine which is an extremely good looking engine, especially when considering the requirements.
IMO Crysis 1 still looks better than many AAA games released today and runs far smoother.
While it looks really really good, it dips under 30 fps at some points, even in the new trailer.
I'm getting this on PS4 so i'm a bit worried.

For the record, Youtube compresses things to 30fps max automatically
I expected the Dedsec edition to be an all inclusive thing. Guess not.
Well at least most of what I really care about is in the season pass, so...
Steam Digital Deluxe includes the Dedsec pack for some reason, so as far as DLC packs go, that's the best option
(and preordering on steam gets you the Blume pack)
It seems that Uplay store on that list refers to Steam and GMG as well, at the very least. Steam's description is a bit weirdly worded (Steam calls the White Hat Pack Exclusive Content), but aside from that. GMG's and Uplay's reward list basically match word for word.

I know you said in your opinion but I have to disagree, although it is only JUST showing signs of ageing, there are games that look alot better than it, I personally think Sleeping Dogs looks really good.
PS4 is running 900p 30fps and XBO is 792p 30fps

Feel bad for people who have huge TV's. (55"+) Even 1080 suffers and looks bad if the TV's large enough and you don't sit in the back of the room, imagine how bad 792p is going to look for them.

But Black Flag was optimized pretty well? I could max it out on a 660Ti, minus the fancy Nvidia antialiasing, just used SMAA instead

Pretty sure i got 30-40 on my 680. Don't think changing the settings even had much of an effect either.
Its CPU bound cause Ubi are shite at multi-threading.

my 280X struggles with it on normal, and that can run any other modern game on max at 1080p
maybe it wasnt very well optimised for AMD cards, since it was sponsored by NVIDIA and all
I guess I just got lucky with my hardware configuration, then, I never had any problems with any AC games

assuming it's going to be like AC4, it shouldn't be a huge problem, because it'll open uplay by itself once the game launches and you can close it when you're done playing

I agree. I just started playing Sleeping Dogs a few days ago actually. There are a whole bunch of games looking better than Crysis, but there are just as many new AAA 60€ games coming out that look worse and some of them even perform worse.
For example: AC4 runs much, much worse than Crysis 1 (and 2, didn't try 3 yet) on my PC, yet doesn't look better at all.

I can run Crysis 2 on max ultra settings with rock solid 60FPS with some AA and it looks gorgeous. AC4 runs at 40-50FPS and doesn't look anywhere near as good.
