Man, that was irritating to watch. Eight minutes based solely around shooting at a gas station. I really like how it tracks people around you who call the police, that's pretty dang cool.
I think he was purely trying to test graphics on the Bone compared to PC, not really play the game.
He plays the game exactly how I'm going to play it
Why follow the law of the road when you're the only person in the entire game that has the ability to handbrake/drive on the sidewalk/sprint everywhere/ACTUALLY HAVE THINGS TO DO
They make these gameplay videos where you're casually walking down the street and identifying people with your phone but everybody in the real world will just be sprinting up to citizens with their gun and phone out and hosing down everyone that aren't key characters
Speak for yourself.

Looks like he is trying blow up that station in e3 2012 style with huge explosion and ringing in the ears
So there is a first review out. The review is summed up with:
Watch Dogs is a beautiful singleplayer experience with a lackluster multiplayer twist. The game is fun and has a lot of things to do for a free roam, but it just lacks as a title which delivers it all. People will want to just stick to Grand Theft Auto V on May 27th and stay in Los Santos just a little bit longer.
And it got a score of 7.2
So it's him basically saying the singleplayer rocks and the multiplayer isnt as hype as everyone thought it would be.
Not worth a 7.2 IMO
This is also the same site that gave Goat Simulator a 10

Review using leaked Xbone footage is kind of not much profesional .. but i can imagine WD getting somewhere around 7-9 score, so why not
One huge caveat/punishment Ubisoft implemented is when you do turn off the Online Option, all your skills accumulated are reset to zero. You read that right. They all get reset to zero. All the online-specific skills reset to zero as punishment for not wanting to play online, something which is entirely disappointing. Either you keep getting invaded, or you get punished for wanting to play sometimes and not other times with the online mode.
well, shit
edit: wait, those are just online-specific skills, nevermind

FYI this is from the same guy who didn't know what proximity means (the gas station video from the last page)
i'd take it with a massive truckload of salt
I just saw it on neogaf and at first it seemed legit but reading more into it, this is starting to sound a lot like bullshit.
I'm sure they got a lot of clicks thanks to this "review" though. Part of me hopes that the singleplayer part is true though.
I'm gonna avoid reading the review and remain cautiously optimistic, partially because the game cost me a shitload of money
well, shit

That's fucking bullshit. I'll just turn it off once I get into the game.
EDIT: Oh, never mind.

what is notoriety and what can you unlock with it?
please dont tell me it's the entire skill system
what is notoriety and what can you unlock with it?

Notoriety is like your online level.
It only unlocks special online skills, not all skills. Think Assassins Creed Multiplayer skill system.
what is notoriety and what can you unlock with it?
please dont tell me it's the entire skill system

This ONLY effects your Notoriety skills, and they themselves are only skills/perks that effects multiplayer components, like NOS for cars in races, or more cash from completing hacks/tails/etc. You will lose nothing regarding singleplayer, by opting out of multiplayer. And, you're more than likely to still do Decryption, 8 Player Free Roam and Races, since they are not mentioned in this screen/list. Only Tailing and Hacking will be disabled.

You're always online, other players can "invade" your singleplayer game (kinda like Dark Souls) and it won't even notify you, you'll only see that they're trying to hack you at some point
Acting like that will make it really obvious as to where and who you are since you'll look like any other NPC on their screen.
I don't even know if you can turn that off, obviously disabling your connection will do the job but yeah
There's a marker over the head of the person you need to hack (as shown in the multiplayer walkthrough vid), acting like an NPC is only important when you're the invader.

Wait people don't do this? Why? It's so boring. This isn't like some role-playing game.

Why should he, KorJax wasn't speaking for himself when he complained that the leaked footage isn't played in the way he wants

this is probably the only thing i've heard about that's even "next gen" in this game
I kinda want to do the invasion stuff, but all my IRL friends are console players, and total strangers would be annoying.
The highlight of my year has been seeing more and more footage of this game. I literally cannot wait for this game to come out. This is my ultimate dream game and has been for years.
I kinda want to do the invasion stuff, but all my IRL friends are console players, and total strangers would be annoying.
tbh I hope I get points if I invade players and just gun them down instead

oh please no
tbh I hope I get points if I invade players and just gun them down instead
where's the fun in that? the point is to stay out of sight and stay alive, not go in guns-blazing. there are other multiplayer gamemodes for that

I don't know why, but I've always preferred staying incognito in these games until things start kicking in around me. Helps with my immersion, as cheesy as that is.

If you've preordered, you should probably get a refund, because you're the exact antithesis of this game.
Is it weird that I'm kinda hoping there will be an unlockable/secret/achievment reward AC Desmond outfit for no real reason?
I just feel like it'd fit pretty well in this kinda game and it was also made by Ubisoft and... yeah
If you've preordered, you should probably get a refund, because you're the exact antithesis of this game.
why would i want to hack someone's phone if I could just gun them down and take it instead
rules =/= logic

the moment someone does this i'll permanently turn off the multiplayer

You would have to hack the phone anyway? Also, why would a hacker draw attention to himself, unnecessarily, by opening fire in what is 90% of the time going to be in the middle of a huge city with pedestrians everywhere?
That's not exactly logical either.
