IMO that looks like GTA V levels of graphics. Not that it would be a bad thing though. I think GTA V is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait for a potential PC port that runs at 1080p+AA

although there's almsot no anti-aliasing and the lighting's not as good, the textures definitely look a lot better than GTAV's. Or at least they do to me.

not everybody under the sun can afford/is willing to buy a next gen console
I mean right now there's very few games worth buying for said next gen consoles for (and even then those said games are BARELY next-gen. All of the true next gen stuff won't be out for a couple more years) and besides, in a years' time the consoles will be a hundred dollars cheaper

That would go under the "shit pc" option. You see, despite there only being two options, it's actually quite open ended.
The photo gives me mixed feelings, yay that the weather's going to be dynamic, but that low res building in the distance looks pretty ugly. Even the lamp post across the street ain't looking to nice. I love the rain on the road though, the wet reflection and how it puddles up on the sides is really neat.
On an unrelated note I kinda hope citizens are persistent, so that you can see the same guy a few times over the course of the game, I think it'd be cool. And hopefully Aiden himself isn't a superhuman protagonist, obviously he should be able to take a few hits for gameplay's sake, but I'm not getting a mass murder vibe out of this game.

So even though I'm being very cautious to defend the game, honestly, the game looks better in motion because of the things you mentioned. It doesn't really look bad in screenshots either. Sure it's not mindblowing but again, it still looks pretty nice.
I just hope there are enough 'descriptions' of people on the streets that they don't repeat often at all
seeing 'was abused as a child' on a load of people on the same street would be pretty jarring
Honestly the games graphics are good, looks great in when raining.
If there are some low quality graphics here or there I'm fine. Overall it looks beautiful and I cannot wait for this game to come out.
Is there a leaked list of skills that you get from playing online mode?
And can you have it set to where only your friends can drop in your game, or does that take your skills out as well.
I'm all for randoms joining my game, but I want to mess with my friends a lot in this game, the MP and trying to hack them seems really really fun.

I have a shit pc processor. I don't want to buy a new processor for this game alone.
The only difference between current gen and last gen are the graphics, vehicle / pedestrian density and 2 multiplayer modes are cut.

that being said, who cares about graphics. it's an open world game. there's no way it'll ever look good as a closed-door first person shooter like wolfenstein

Yeah no sorry, that's a nice sentiment (that is popular amongst angry 12 year olds on youtube), but nobody is doing that. we're judging a game's visuals on its visuals. games also happen to be nice when they look nice too, so we're then somewhat invested in how nice the visuals are.

AC4 had big fat jpegs instead of distant buildings too, then I realized my draw distance setting wasn't maxed, so this shouldn't be a problem really, at least on PC
