I mean if it's how they want him to look and if the entire trench coat series is the art style they want to stick with, fair play. We'll play it either way and I'm sure people would be whining to no end if he was just some guy in a hoodie and jeans.
It's sort of Jason Bourneish if not for the coat, but Trench coats do kind of stand out

lol
well, from the graphics they look like Gta v to be honest, and in some aspects, a lot better.
pc version i guess though
it looks bad because it's mostly a constant ambient light - it'd look a lot better in direct sunlight or during the nighttime
either way it's not the graphics aren't at fault here: it's just not a very visually interesting scene, and you can bet the PC will feature the same lighting unless it implements some sort of radiosity solution
There's no shadows in that screenshot :v:
I don't even get why everyone hates on his default outfit so much
It's not even that outlandish, if anything it's kind of generic for a video game character.
But people are saying it's not inconspicuous but why not? I live in Chicago and if I just passed some dude wearing that in the fall I wouldn't even glance twice.
I like the default outfit.
Or Ambient Occlusion, but even the PS4 has an excessive amount of it. Worse than Battlefield 4 ever thought about. You can see NPCs standing against a wall and there's just this black fuzz on the wall around them. As if the NPC moved there would be an imprint of them on a dirty wall
Actually a recent screenshot even shows it

Always hated that effect. It's like when Bloom was first being used (Like in Brothers in Arms) It was used so excessively it was like double vision. I don't think it's being used to its best potential yet, it's just slapped on to be seen, but it's not subtle enough to be felt without being seen
I'd dare say the majority likes the default outfit; it's the bonus outfits that look hideous

In every Watch Dogs news thread I've seen a "ew I hope I can change his outfit" comment

well in that example it's being used pretty subtly and also correctly in that it only occludes the ambient term
and looking at the building it looks like it has a radiosity solution and that's pretty impressive. overall as a whole it looks pretty fantastic... i don't see what people are complaining about

i think the trenchcoat is part of the story and not just there for looks.
in leaked videos you can see that when you hack into a ctOS camera and look at yourself, Aiden's body is pixelated and the camera shows an "identification error" message.
perhaps there is technology all over the trenchcoat that protects his identity

itt, someone rates junies, fucking juniez, dumb when he's talking about graphics.
The damn nerve tho.
I am hoping this game is good, came with my GTX 760
Trench coat? Check.
Hat? Check.
Super hacking skills? Check.
I can't be the only one thinking it:

Anyone have experience with game key sites? I was looking at Kinguin for a sale. Uplay code for 47.00.

They're all garbage that will eventually come back and bite you unless you can confirm they get their keys straight from the publisher (like GMG does, for example). Devolver Digital cancelled a ton of keys from one of those sites a couple days ago.
I thought Kinguin is just a site that lists all keysites.
I thought Kinguin is just a site that lists all keysites.
It's sort of like a marketplace where people can sell keys.

Kinguin's legit.
A taste of clothing options

wait so is the variety of clothing that Aiden can choose from only limited to multicolored coats?
wait so is the variety of clothing that Aiden can choose from only limited to multicolored coats?
What do you know, It has a lot in common with assassins creed. If that wasn't obvious in any other pictures or videos.

Bloodstain and Blue Tips look fucking hideous
That oven mitt mask on Bloodstain
So, if you buy whatever the normal version is on Uplay, is that considered the limited Uplay edition with all of the packs associated with it? Or is it just considered a standard edition?
I'm so confused, since the chart on the last page said the uplay thing was a 'No' for digital download and came with a game disc, but that doesn't make any sense.

It has a really tiny scroll bar is there a lot of options or is there really only like 2 more rows of outfits.
Like I guess i'd be fine with simple color changes if there was a least plenty to choose from.

Considering all the editions, there's probably at least 4 more rows.
I unfortunately had to cancel my Destiny pre-order, mainly because I may or may not have Xbox live at the time the game is released (and I'd much rather have played it on PC anyway), so I got this instead.
Hopefully Kinguin pulls through for me! $47 ain't bad. Generally I pay full price but I'm a bit nervous about Watch Dogs, and I'm a college student so I should probably be spending as little as I possibly can.

Also, it looks like it might follow the whole AC theme with there being multiple stores that sell different outfits throughout the city.
So I used that nVidia promo code on my Uplay account.
The game doesn't show up on my library. Is this normal?
I love how all the non-default outfits look terrible. It's like in Mass Effect with maleshep.
I'm really hoping that you can change the colour of the DLC outfits.
I love the look of this, but it might be nicer in Tan or a dark navy blue.

best looking game i've ever seen actually
not really up to date with today's games but still

That's a sweet looking firetruck. I hope somebody makes something like the LCPDFR mod for GTA IV.
