Reading anything about this game online is infuriating. The comments are almost always full of "Wow, looks like shit", "900p 30fps lol", or whenever the screenshot makes it look good "Yeah, but is it fun?"
God damn, the game looks fine and it comes out in just over a week can you at least wait until the game comes out to complain about shit.

The backlash twoards watch dog's looks were inevitable considering this was the first "next gen" game ever shown off in previews/trailers
And to be fair, it looked pretty good back then.
Are there any screenshots of the PC version out there? Most of them seem to be from the PS4 version right now.
If I remember right, the E3 reveal played on PC, and it did look pretty good. I hope they haven't watered it down since then.

considering the PS4 only runs the game at 900p and 30fps, the PS3 version is either going to look a lot worse or run a lot worse

I spent too much time on Reddit and Neogaf reading about Watch Dogs and nothing but a bunch of people crying about the game's graphics. "Wow, this game looks terrible. Looks just like GTA IV. Another game I'll skip." I don't get why people are deciding whether or not to buy a game based on its graphics. It seems so silly. And the game looks great, I don't know what the hell people are complaining about.
I even see people whine about the alien minigame and saying, "Why does this game have this stupid alien minigame? So unrealistic. I really hope it's not part of the game or else Ubisoft doesn't get my money. Doesn't fit the theme at all." I mean [I]really?[/I] It's an optional minigame. You don't have to play it if you don't want to.
Christ, people find the dumbest things to complain about.
I love the look of the minigames and digital trips. Totally gonna go nuts on those.

But the demo wasn't running on a PS4 - and I'm sure they admitted that. If you have the hardware capable, I'm sure you're going to come pretty close to the original footage.
I'm just repeating what everyone said about it. I was pretty sure the people talking about the graphics were on PC too.

Most "Next Gen" gameplay from e3 last year was PC builds of games.
I really don't know whether or not to grab Watch Dogs.
On one hand, it looks super fun and all the hacking stuff is pretty cool.
On the other, I am a gigantic hipster and have some deep-rooted, primal grudge against triple-A titles.

Ubisoft is probably the least triple-A-y out of all the triple-A companies because they innovate and try fresh new ideas a lot

Yes. Because ACIV was exactly like the one that came before it.
Even they must play it safe by rolling with an established IP sometimes, but they still do new things within that IP.
