I'm thinking about preordering this but all these packs and shit are confusing me. What is the difference? Where do you guys suggest getting it? Having it on steam would be nice I guess but it isn't 100% required.

Also I'm all for having all my games on steam but Watch Dogs does launch through Uplay anyways so I would personally just get it on Uplay and skip a step.
The graphics complaints come from a bait and switch from ubi- the E3 reveal demo looked way better than what we're getting
How do we quantify this? Could someone explain to me why I see this belief all over the internet, but it has 3 disagrees?
oh yeah that's why they churn out a new assassin's creed every year I forgot
ACIV is probably the best open world pirate game(Which is already an unexplored concept) we're gonna get. It's also really good.
I remain cautiously optimistic about this game - I'll wait for some reviews to come out before I purchase though.

AC as a title might be churned out every year, but some people are acting as if it's COD which produces the same thing every year. At least AC tries different concepts every game.
I got the game for $30. Excitement rising to critical levels.
I got the game for $30. Excitement rising to critical levels.
Where
Where
Gamestop. Traded in a game I never play, got 40% extra credit towards a pre-order of Watch Dogs, and had power up rewards points so I was able to get $10 more off the price of the game. I'm pretty sure you can get it for $47 at Greenmangaming, if you're looking for a cheaper place to get it. They usually have 20% off with a code they post on the front page.
I spent too much time on Reddit and Neogaf reading about Watch Dogs and nothing but a bunch of people crying about the game's graphics. "Wow, this game looks terrible. Looks just like GTA IV. Another game I'll skip." I don't get why people are deciding whether or not to buy a game based on its graphics. It seems so silly. And the game looks great, I don't know what the hell people are complaining about. I even see people whine about the alien minigame and saying, "Why does this game have this stupid alien minigame? So unrealistic. I really hope it's not part of the game or else Ubisoft doesn't get my money. Doesn't fit the theme at all." I mean really? It's an optional minigame. You don't have to play it if you don't want to. Christ, people find the dumbest things to complain about.
Also isn't that Alien game supposed to be VR? Civilians don't react to it. If so that's actually pretty funny, they just see a guy playing with airguns in the middle of the park operating the shit out of a bunch of non-existent monsters.
How do we quantify this? Could someone explain to me why I see this belief all over the internet, but it has 3 disagrees?
I find it funny that people say that. I only watched the 2012 e3 video somewhat recently, and the thing that stuck out to me was that graphics weren't super amazing pretty. I mean it looked good, but not god like good people think it was.

I'm just trying to figure out where the idea that it had god-tier graphics came from, or why the E3 trailer might have looked different.

Maybe, in this not-too-distant-future, gyroscope games were way too successful.
Livestream.
I really don't wanna watch that Livestream. I prefer all the little snippets of content that have nothing to do with the story. Same way I fed my hype for GTA V.

I dig the music.
In the MEGA leak there was a part where he shot a lot of civilians and they all fell down, but didn't die. Now all I want to do is play as John and Harold (from Person of Interest) combined into one character and kneecap everyone

I don't know who this Aiden guy is.
I hope the first mod relased is a suit for John.
Not sure if these have been posted yet, but here's a link to the achievements page: http://psnprofiles.com/trophies/2621-WATCH_DOGS Interesting speculation could be drawn from that Act 5 image. [sp]I'm thinking Aiden goes to jail, or sends someone to jail.[/sp]
I dig the music.
Can't wait to see the tracklist for watch_dogs, the latest GTA games have been really disappointing in terms of that.
I really need to get around to getting the RAM I need in order to play this. It's literally the only thing I have that doesn't hit recommended, and it's so low that it doesn't hit required.
