If nothing.. this game will definetly get Water of the year award ... It's just so fucking beatiful
No. They're fairly harmless. But most people don't take kindly to their computer being used as a bitcoin miner without their knowledge. Considering that someone else installed a miner on their computer to generate bitcoins and make the torrent owner money at the expense of increased CPU/GPU usage? Benign, but rude.
Depends. If it's a CUDA miner on a AMD GPU it will max it and cause overheating until uninstalled. Dunno why i'm getting dumbs... this exact thing happened to me. The bitcoin miner is CUDA-GPU based and maxed my GPU even when i was on desktop.
Ugh, navigating through the weapons/phone menu is a chore
Somebody needs to rig it to never go to day. :v:
yes I did, Its a total placebo, ill do before and afters if you like but theres already comparison shots, it really doesnt do anything.
People report that, in the same line, changing the 1280 x 720 resolution to the proper resolution ups fidelity. Whether it's true or not, ehhhh.
so is the GMG watch dogs a steam version or can you just activate it straight to uplay?
The crack also has a bitminer in it. :)
Mine didn't lol.
so is the GMG watch dogs a steam version or can you just activate it straight to uplay?
It can only be activated on uPlay
Too bad there's only 4 of them.
The digital trip dealers gave me the impression you could buy more than the initial four. Guess not Course there's always the possibility that they'll add more down the line
medium lod, ultra reflections, shadows and water, high everything else [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26102300/misc/video%20game%20stuff/watch_dogs%202014-05-24%2013-10-50-20.png[/t] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26102300/misc/video%20game%20stuff/watch_dogs%202014-05-24%2013-11-36-46.png[/t] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26102300/misc/video%20game%20stuff/watch_dogs%202014-05-24%2013-49-41-40.png[/t] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26102300/misc/video%20game%20stuff/watch_dogs%202014-05-24%2013-54-02-16.png[/t] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26102300/misc/video%20game%20stuff/watch_dogs%202014-05-24%2013-55-34-14.png[/t] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26102300/misc/video%20game%20stuff/watch_dogs%202014-05-24%2013-55-05-07.png[/t]
Anyone got a list of music?
So everytime you are forced to have a shootout/chase (basically every mission) I am having serious issues getting rid of people chasing me/escaping. It seems getting away isn't actually what you are supposed to do, but ramming them doesn't deal much damage either. I usually end up just driving high speed till there's like three cars left and then crash somewhere and shoot them all. Did I miss some major feature or are they seriously making you covershoot through everything?
i can already imagine that's how the online invading is going to look like, just everyone ramming you with a car as soon as they see you

Until Act 2 I hadn't killed anybody, but I'd gotten away from numerous chases. Maybe you're just not looking at the minimap enough?

It's tough to outrun people. You'll need to get them off you with steam pipes and green lighting intersections, triggering bridges and whatnot.
It's tough to outrun people. You'll need to get them off you with steam pipes and green lighting intersections, triggering bridges and whatnot.
Is that really surprising in a game based on those mechanics?
What exactly does a bitminer do and how do I get rid of it?
i can already imagine that's how the online invading is going to look like, just everyone ramming you with a car as soon as they see you
They've already shown invading. Unless they only showed one version of it, your objective is to hide and hack the other player's phone and try to stay hidden long enough to download a virus onto his phone, then download the data they've unlocked. If successful you get a portion of what they've hacked/acquired in their game (i.e. you may get a CtOS server control you didn't have before) but the other player is actively searching for you. If they find you, you have to run away and escape. If they kill you, you lose. If you kill them, you don't get anything.
It's stupid that you can't even disable aim assist on both controller and mouse. And trying to shoot with a mouse is abysmal because your aiming comes to a crawl when your crosshairs are near an enemy. What the fuck are you doing, Ubi.
What exactly does a bitminer do and how do I get rid of it?
A 'bitminer' is a program that uses a portion or all of your CPU's or GPU's processing power (Usually your GPU since they tend to be better at algorithmic problem solving) to brute force solve complex algabraic equations. The first computer to solve the equation and send the solution to the origin gets paid a sum of bitcoins (usually very small increments). To uninstall it you'd need to find the application doing it. Someone already posted a page or two back the one that was in the SKIDROW leaked game. I believe it was a "winlogin.exe" and a "lcis.exe" or something like that hidden in the game installation folder that would start up and mine in the background while you played. Pretty smart, getting probably hundreds of thousands of people to mine bitcoins from you under the guise of playing such a highly anticipated game. Especially naming it "winlogin.exe". If you aren't computer savvy and looked at your task manager you wouldn't pay any mind to "winlogin.exe" unless you KNEW it was "winlogon.exe"

Don't delete the wrong thing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin_mining#Bitcoin_mining This can explain it a lot better than I can. Basically you use your computer's GPU/CPU to make popular fake money that is somehow worth lots of real money.
I spent like a hour after beating the first mandatory mission just wondering the city and hacking everyone, I already have about $30k
Anyone have problems driving? I get major lag, even when I'm running everything on low. I've got an i5 2500k and a 560 ti, 8 gb of ram.
Has anyone tried to play it with an older i7 or something similar?
I'm running it on a 2600k with a gtx 660, It's running great, medium/high settings at around 50/60fps in general. the only time i have any trouble is when I'm driving quickly, i think it's a load stutter thing. definitely works though. To ease your mind the most popular leak (non SKIDROW) uses the same crack as the ones for previous Uplay based distributed torrents from what I see on trackers. So it's probably not riddled with anything malicious.
Official skidrow uploads don't have any malicious software.
I spent like a hour after beating the first mandatory mission just wondering the city and hacking everyone, I already have about $30k
Good thing in super realistic Chicago (where IRL you're not even allowed to own guns) you can be devoid of that cash in a second by buying a $12,000 AK-47 and ammunition for $2/rd. Hurray the future
Hey guys, don't know if you noticed but "arsenalrobert" on youtube has got the game early for some reason. He's doing a let's play on youtube with 8 parts so far.
