Am I the only one who's still having stutters after installing the new beta drivers?
It wasn't happening for me until I installed the new drivers, sadly.
Seems to only happen outside of the major city areas.
I'm quite enjoying the game but I am going to downgrade from Dedsec Edition to something like the Digital Deluxe Edition, as after trying it out I'm not too comfortable with spending that much money on it.
It's fun. Just not 60 € fun. Maybe 30 € fun if we're stretching it.
I absolutely agree, this is why I'm letting gamestop keep my preorder "depositum". It was an okay game, but I couldn't justify spending 60 euro on it.

I'm waiting to see if the base game being 6 gb bigger means anything.
Eh, I'm gonna stick with my pre-order. Even if I do get a refund, I will have nothing to spend it on.

What do you mean?
Was there any patch included with the leaked version? Usually most games have updates that are larger than 1gb at launch, maybe it will clear up most issues?

I haven't encountered a single bug or glitch so far, I just find a lot of the combat to be lackluster, and that the hacking is a bit shoehorned in a lot of cases, but not really there when I need it.
I sincerely hope they patch the game crashing my display drivers, it runs fine (on low-medium, permitted) but randomly crashes my display drivers... meaning i can't play for more than half an hour at a time.
What do you mean?
The pirated version is 14 gigabytes but the game's size on steam is listed as 25 gigabytes.
That could mean something though it is a thin thread to hang on.
The game is actually optimized pretty well.
I'm using a fucking i3 at 3.3GHZ and a Ati Radeon HD5670 and I still get a stable ~50 FPS at Very Low. Didn't expect that.

The game isn't 25gb thats just how much you need to install it. The game is actually 21.4gb. 7.5gb of that is other languages that arnt english. So the leaked build is the actually size of the game with just english audio.

The pirated version could always be a repack.
There are repacks available but the highest one on TPB isn't a repack, nor is the 3dm version
After watching some (new) multiplayer gameplay on youtube (Tailing and Online Hacking), I'm actually pretty hyped for it, even though I have already played like 8 hours of Watch dogs and my opinion on it is singleplayer is getting a bit stale after a while...
English voice files already takes 1.5gb, so it about 1.5-2 gb for each language translated, so that's most likely the reason of the size difference.
Fuck the coverbased shooter enforcment when I just wanna sneak around, especially when they force me to stop somewhere with no cover and get me killed in 3 shots.
So I was mega excited for this game purely because I wanted to screw with society with the hacking aspect. Does this hacking aspect live up to what the trailers and stuff implied? What can you 'do' with the hacking? If this is just a GTA clone with 'press E to advance storyline' hacking then I'm noty interested

Explode gas pipes in roads
Explode pipes to shoot air out.
Hack Bridges
Hack Systems
Hack things to set off car alarms
Hack Stuff to pop tires
hack garage doors
Hack people to set off grenades they have.
Hack things to blow up
Hack things to cause blackouts sending everything in the dark.
hack things to make cover
Hack peoples phones and hear their conversations
hack cameras
hack things to cause distractions
Dont think i missed anything.
idk what's everyone's gripe about this game, it's literally modern day assassins creed
ubisoft has never done cars well before and they have not managed to do so for this game, glad that the cars are not being forced on you at least
it's a very fine game by all means and idk why people are complaining about technical issues in a game they acquired before release day
the story is great, the immersion is great, the hacking is everything it was shown to be, the gunplay is weird but it makes you feel like you're not a superhuman, all in all it's a very solid title from ubisoft as always
don't go and cancel your preorders because people that thought it'd revolutionize gaming are toting their bullshit with their impossible standards

what ever is
I can't think of any games in the past 10 years or so off the top of my head that actually lived up to their hype.

Actually you press Q.
But don't worry, hacking takes a part, and can give you an upper hand in a lot of situations. But it's also shoehorned in weird puzzles, when standing on top of a car or ramming the fence would solve everything.
You got these control towers that are complicated to get up to, and once you've unlocked them you see points of interest for the area they cover.
And then you [del]jump into a haystack next to it[/del] hack a lift that was standing next to it to go down.
I can't think of any games in the past 10 years or so off the top of my head that actually lived up to their hype.
Lately I'm starting to think it's our fault, if we weren't always expecting some revolutionary, industry-changing game we wouldn't be so disappointed as often.
That's not to say it isn't the developer / publishers fault from time to time either though.
I can't think of any games in the past 10 years or so off the top of my head that actually lived up to their hype.
Personally, wolfenstein lived up to my hype. It was so dang fun.
Personally, wolfenstein lived up to my hype. It was so dang fun.
It also wasn't hyped up to impossible levels like most games released lately.
Like Mr Flexi said, the failure to live up to hype is just as much our fault as the developers.

This is pretty much all I'm expecting really, dunno where everyone got this ground-breaking, industry-changing game mechanics from. I'm pretty sure I'll be satisfied when I play it.
I enjoyed myself playing so I think I'll keep my pre-order. I like the hacking, even if it's just "press q" since it's when and how you do it that makes things interesting. I've been able to go through the first several missions and all the ctos parts with no guns what so ever. I feel like if this game was more life mirrors edge in that way I'd be better - guns seem more of a default choice but at least it's still a choice thus far. Has anyone found their hands are forced later on?

Have you played Driver: San Francisco? The driving in that game is fantastic!
