so bad makes you question if it's an incomplete leak
ok this game in single player has been pretty bad so far but I must say the online hacking mode where you invade/get invaded is really cool it's so exhilarating when you are hacking someone and you see them desperately trying to identify you
Also, 39 missions. That means if they didn't cut the game into 9 different versions it would probably be closer to 60. Fuck you, Ubi.
There's only 6 side missions not included in the base game.
It was leaked from a retail version, it's complete.
In that case it definitely isn't complete, it doesn't have whatever day one patch it'll have when it'll actually come out.
Explode gas pipes in roads Explode pipes to shoot air out. Hack Bridges Hack Systems Hack things to set off car alarms Hack Stuff to pop tires hack garage doors Hack people to set off grenades they have. Hack things to blow up Hack things to cause blackouts sending everything in the dark. hack things to make cover Hack peoples phones and hear their conversations hack cameras hack things to cause distractions Dont think i missed anything.
So the bragging by some of the devs about there being about 100 or so unique hacks in the game was an exaggeration? What a surprise. Unless there are a ton of mission-specific ones, idk.
The pirated version is 14 gigabytes but the game's size on steam is listed as 25 gigabytes. That could mean something though it is a thin thread to hang on.
Pretty sure that's just compression. No one likes to upload torrents of a file size bigger than they need to be, and no one likes downloading it either. Especially with so many ISPs doing Data caps. They'll also strip away some things, like language localizations, and just upload it in one language which cuts filsize by a fuck ton for some things I would consider almost any leak just as good as the on the shelf release version if the leak happens within 3 to 2 weeks (and closer) of the release date Anyway, this is torrenting in general. Reduce filesize when possible benefits everyone
Haven't seen a game so hyped turn out to be so awful in awhile. Sorry to everyone who got scammed by paying for it.
I'm sorry you think your opinion is fact.
In that case it definitely isn't complete, it doesn't have whatever day one patch it'll have when it'll actually come out.
It will have a day one patch more than likely to fix some bugs and stuttering, but that doesn't fix the how boring the gameplay is that people are describing. Personally, I will still try the game out but I'm not impressed from the talk about it so far.
Am I the only one here that still has faith in this game?
Am I the only one here that still has faith in this game?
I've been having a blast with it, once I got used to the driving. The Meta games and ARGs are also awesome!
It will have a day one patch more than likely to fix some bugs and stuttering, but that doesn't fix the how boring the gameplay is that people are describing. Personally, I will still try the game out but I'm not impressed from the talk about it so far.
That's all it is. Talk. If it was fact, then everyone here would be talking about how terrible and boring the game is. The fact of the matter is, the game isn't released yet, and all you've been hearing is simply the opinion of the few who have played it so far. If you're really going to bum yourself out over a couple disappointed people who gave in to the hype, then I guess you deserve to feel like you wasted your money. I'm completely satisfied personally. I'm loving the game, and once it's officially released and things like multiplayer and possible modding come out, I can see this being a very solid title that people will enjoy.
Have you played Driver: San Francisco? The driving in that game is fantastic!
To be fair, that's Reflections (which Ubi bought) and they've been making driving games for years. But yes, the driving in that game was simply amazing. They should have had them code the driving for watch dogs. They know how to blend arcade and simulation flawlessly.
I really hate that the cars are almost frictionless
That shootout at the car crash scene. That's a game I want to play.
If you mean the one in the trailer, I'm sorry to say that it doesn't look that great in the game. There are a lot of convoy missions like that. Criminals go from A to B, kill everyone and punch one down, and that's cool for the first rounds or so, until you see that this happens a lot. The combat is nothing like what we saw there. In a convoy mission, every guy will pop out at once, shooting and throwing grenades. It gives you difficulty, but completely ruins the tension. And the way they changed lighting and fog made the game much less appealing for me, along with daytime looking like absolute shit.
Once them game comes out, will there be a way to remove the other language files? I'll be installing it on my SSD since it makes the loading times practically nonexistent, but I only have 40GB left on it.
idk what's everyone's gripe about this game, it's literally modern day assassins creed ubisoft has never done cars well before and they have not managed to do so for this game, glad that the cars are not being forced on you at least it's a very fine game by all means and idk why people are complaining about technical issues in a game they acquired before release day the story is great, the immersion is great, the hacking is everything it was shown to be, the gunplay is weird but it makes you feel like you're not a superhuman, all in all it's a very solid title from ubisoft as always don't go and cancel your preorders because people that thought it'd revolutionize gaming are toting their bullshit with their impossible standards
Why does everyone keep saying junk like this? The technical issues aren't the problem lol, I went into watch dogs pretty hyped and was expecting it to be pretty fun even if it did end up at as just an open world game with hacking but it falls flat for all the reasons I already mentioned. No one thought it would revolutionize gaming or had impossible standards, like we don't like it after playing it that's it lol calm down there bud. Also how does the gunplay make you feel like you are not a superhuman? it has some forcible aim assist thing that messes up your aim which makes shooting an annoying chore, especially on the higher difficulties when your enemies can out shoot you and kill you in 1 shot and you cant do anything do to the aiming messing up. That's not feeling like a superhuman that's having parkinsons as your fighting with your own aim. Like we get it, you have a high opinion on the game but don't praise actual faults lol

I honestly want to see what the fuck is supposed to take up 10gb in the game, there's nothing vital that's missing at least. [editline]25th May 2014[/editline]
I really hate that the cars are almost frictionless
Today, I realized how it felt like steering a ship in Asscreed IV.
you have 3 options for auto aim. High/Low/Off and you're saying not to praise actual faults and then listing 2 things that arent actual faults...
Did you look at the options menu? it's high, normal and minimal, there is no way to turn it off. It is an actual fault when the game is fighting you when you try to aim at someone, mouse aiming out of combat is fine but once it goes near an enemy it goes to shit. You seriously can't say that's not a fault? Like I would enjoy the game a lot more if the fire fights it forced me into I could actually aim properly but because of that issue it just make the experience a lot worse.
as someone who preordered reading this thread is really disheartening
god forbid someone likes what I hate grrr
What? people like me came into the thread giving our opinions on the game just saying "meh its not worth it personally get it on sale" and Egevened says "don't listen to the morons who had super high random expectations and thought it would revolutionize gaming!!!" The difference between the 2 posts is one person doesn't care and the other actually doesn't like people not liking what he likes. Spot which one is which ;) just don't get all defensive for no reason lol.
I only get stuttering if I set Shadows to Ultra. Lowering it to High removes stuttering. Didn't touch texture quality, though, left it at medium. With everything else set to Ultra and resolution set to 720p I get 20 FPS on my GTS 450. Quite playable if you ask me.

It's the same as disabling mouse acceleration.
I'm sorry you think your opinion is fact.
I get you're bitter because you might of put a pre-order down and now that's looking like a huge waste but that's why you never pre-order. Next time a big AAA game is coming out think, "this could be the next Watch Dogs, I should wait a bit"
