But the screenshots where you have the brightness set to zero are the ones in daytime.
What? I don't really get your point because if you look properly you will see difference in both day screenshots and night ones
The police AI in this are so fucking retarded and annoying. Also, the police helicopter has a instant 24/7 I can shoot you even if your driving fast thing going on.
Is it getting released at 11 PM or midnight on steam CST?
Call me old fashion, but gameplay is all that really matters to me. Sure, high powered super graphics would be nice to look at, but in the end, unless you're being a super critical asshole, it really doesn't matter as much as people seem to be making it matter.
Nobody simply cares that the graphics don't look amazing. There's only a big stink about it because of the blatant dishonesty in the AAA industry that this game is just another example of. The whole gameplay > graphics thing does not apply here.
Nobody cares that the graphics don't look amazing.
You mustn't have seen a good portion of the comments about Watch Dogs then. Almost all anyone is saying is how it doesn't look like the E3 trailer and how disappointed they are and that they're cancelling their pre-orders. It's rather funny.
I've never seen so many people complain over graphics before.

People wouldn't care that graphics aren't great if they weren't lied to and hyped up to be in the first place.
The hilarious part is the game looks great!
The hilarious part is the game looks great!
It doesn't look bad, it just doesn't look how they said it would.
That's my point. In fact the only real thing they could have been "lied" to about is that there's no ambient fog. Not once have they lied about the graphics, I mean, look at all the trailers leading up to the game.

So far those and what I've seen taken by players haven't matched up at all.
I've seen the trailers and real-time gameplay demonstrations. I will say though that around midday the lighting is horrendous, though the other trailers showed that fact too, so not really lied to there either. Bear in mind I'm obviously talking about the PC version, not sure what the downgrades are like for consoles.
Personally what I've seen in game in terms of graphics is on par with the Nvidia video, which is the latest video depicting PC gameplay, so I see no problem with that.
I've seen the trailers and real-time gameplay demonstrations. So far those and what I've seen taken by players haven't matched up at all.
you didn't see that coding whathaveyou that makes the game look like it did in E3
The game is growing on me. Just did a gang convoy mission, blew up the two gaurdian tricks then parkour'd my way to the leader and knocked him down. It was amazing, the explosions look great imo. I'm just hoping the low fps will be fixed soon.
Just watched the E3 2012 video again, and the graphical difference didn't strike me much. One thing I think I noticed is the shadows being (even) crisper with the helicopter's floodlights, and perhaps the water reflection being a bit prettier (not sure about that one, there hasn't been much rain at night in my game so far.) In fact, what I noticed the most was that the peds seemed to interact seamlessly with their environment, something I didn't see alot in-game. (Like that guy with the umbrella who opens the car door fluidly, or the passenger trying to revive his wife) I think it's more legitimate to think this is the part that was downgraded (and it's most likely that those events were scripted in advance, too.)

Remember how you saved the guy in the car during the firefight in the E3 footage? Can you do that?
Can anyone compile the tricks and edits people have found so far to get the game running better, disable mouse accel, etc? I'm assuming that most of you have seen that the pirated copy comes with a bitcoin mining trojan, right?
Remember how you saved the guy in the car during the firefight in the E3 footage? Can you do that?
You can indeed.
Remember how you saved the guy in the car during the firefight in the E3 footage? Can you do that?
Happened to me couple times while police officers were shooting at me :v:
Been out of town a few days, I guess the game got leaked? Why do some people say it's bad?
You can indeed.
Sweet, I thought it was removed or something.
The mini games alone are enough to make a whole game from, most of them are fantastic save the psychedelic trip thing.
Been out of town a few days, I guess the game got leaked? Why do some people say it's bad?
Overhype for graphics
Overhype for graphics
Why do people care so much about the graphics anyways
Been out of town a few days, I guess the game got leaked? Why do some people say it's bad?
A good portion of people hyped themselves too hard over the graphics when in reality, it's not the next-gen defining graphics they had hoped for. The other portion is upset that it doesn't have all that much to do in single-player outside of missions. When really, the graphics are almost exactly as advertised minus a few extra effects. Gameplay wise they'd be right, there isn't all that much to do outside of missions, though I have a feeling a very good portion of this game is based around the multiplayer hacking and the like, so that might rectify the problem on release.
Why do people care so much about the graphics anyways
I feel like this thread is literally going in circles right now.
the real question is if there are actually any dogs
0/10 no dogs to watch [editline]25th May 2014[/editline] ubisoft lied to us all
